I used to use this app a lot to delete a bunch of photos!! Which helped me out so much!! But I just recently clicked back in and now I have to pay if I want to go back and delete older photos!? Like why!? These companies are getting so money hungry! I hope no one buys your subscription!

Please please I am begging for this app to be compatible with more Mac computers. I love using it on my phone and ipad.

Purchased the app and it doesn’t recognize unsorted photos.

pretty laggy, and confusing..

Greediest number of ads I’ve seen in an app in a while. Around 20 photos and there’s an ad. That’s about an ad every 30 seconds for me, it’s unreal. And ads with audio, if you’re listening to music there’s no reason to even bother using this app. Oh well

what a switch from the app i was using for years imagine my surprise when now i get full screen ads every 5 seconds i will be deleting its so useless and frustrating paywalled!!!

I regret updating the app as I’m now unable to go back to past years and sort .. it is now paywalled.

Forces you to allow full access to ALL your photos before you can check out the app or learn of the $19.99 cost. Shady practice.

shouldn’t have to pay just to even use the app

Every time I collect a bunch of photos to clean out, the app decides not to actually delete and glitches. I’m not sure if it’s the iCloud piece of it or what but I’ve deleted multiple times too.

used to be solid and super helpful but is unusable now because everything is behind a paywall…

You have really limited functionality unless you buy premium which is annoying

Simple app, great flow for photo organization. But it’s $20 for an ad-free experience, and even then, it’s only a license. I’m happy to support good software development, but their money-making practices feel like they’re exploiting the good press they’ve received.

After spending a little time organizing, this app, stopped working and wanted me to purchase it. Still haven’t seen what it will do.

I can not use this app after reading the privacy policy. All sensitive data is collected and sold.

This ap used to be great. Yes, if you didn’t have the paid version, there were ads- but that’s not unusual and I didn’t mind. Now you can only go through so many photos before it tries to force you to pay $20 or whatever. Nope. I was fine with the ads but you got greedy. Uninstalling

Used to be great but sudden Inability to auto sort albums for many months now stinks. Makes it useless. Please fix.

Why does this app have 5 stars? There’s an ad every 30 seconds. If you had just HALF the ads it would be useable

Edit: Can no longer recommend this app after they locked previously FREE features behind a $20 paywall. GFYS Slidebox devs. I am a chronic photo hoarder…this is the only app (and I have tried MANY) that perfectly accommodates my hoarding tendencies and makes for an extremely easy way to sort and delete photos. Please, NEVER leave the app store!!

This app actually seems perfect, at least in the sense it’s what I’ve needed for years. Yet Can’t really use it unless you pay for it. Practically makes it non functional. Can move 4-8 photos before an ad that never loads.. or pay $20.. to sort photos.. way to fubar that one up nice & proper

This app used to be amazing. The recent update ruined it completely. You can no longer sort your whole photo album for free. If it was $5 sure but paying $20 to finish my organizing project I started months ago is too much and now the app is literally useless. Good job lol.

Ads every like, 10 swipes and you’d have to pay for a subscription to go into specific dated albums after a certain point.

Nice job, guys. You ruined this amazing app. It used to be free with ads every now and then, but now I can’t sort photos from past years unless I buy premium. NOPE! Goodbye!

need support for live photo

I have been using this app for ages and have gotten lots of people to download it. Suddenly I can only access the most recent year’s folders to sort and delete without upgrading. I can go back manually, but I almost always organized by month/year folders and now can no longer do that. Booooo.

Didn’t really work that well and forces you to watch an ad that doesn’t load. Then stopped working completely unless you pay $10. When I try to fully delete the photos I said I want to delete, it just freezes and doesn’t fully delete them

It worked as advertised for a while, but now I cannot get past a paywall to access my photos, essentially ending the free version.

It would be a great app if I didn’t have to get through a paywall to get to older. Make me watch an ad or something. Give us some options! Do not recommend. You’re better off just scrolling through your library the old fashioned way… that’s free

They charged me 39.99 after telling me it was 19.99. They won’t get back to me and essentially stole my money

I’ve been using Slidebox for many years and I love the functionality and the app, however, I purchased premium years ago and with a recent update it expired, and I was unable to restore my purchase. I’ve contacted support multiple times and also emailed through their website, but I haven’t received any reply or help. The app has many ads unless you have premium which I was fine with buying because it’s a one time purchase, however now it’s not available to me anymore, making the app unusable for me. When you’re organizing a large batch of photos and there’s an ad every couple photos it’s really annoying. If support would please contact me back I would really appreciate it. I’ve organized over 17k photos with this app and I would love to continue, but if premium continues to expire and support is unavailable, I can’t justify it.

I love the app and have contacted many times no one respond. Just giving one star to get my feedback in.

the app is suddenly slow to load and often freezes after recent updates. this app has been incredibly useful for keeping my gallery nice and sorted so i hope this gets fixed…

Literally can’t even scroll a full minute without an unstoppable video ad popping up. Would rather just put in the time doing the work myself. Don’t bother with this unless you want to pay.

This app used to be so streamlined and easy to use - I’ve used it for years and have recommended it to countless others. But this latest version has ruined that. Not only is it pointless to have the “choose which photos you’d like to organize by specific months!” Option when ALL photos need to be/will be sorted, regardless of what month they were taken, but worst of all, I’ve LOST huge amounts of photos from my Slidebox folders since the update! They’re GONE! They’re still in my camera roll on my phone, but they don’t even appear in the “unorganized” category on the app (and not even the month they were taken is in available as an option!). Why did the developers try to fix something that wasn’t broken?? PLEASE bring back the old version!! It worked perfectly!!! 7/3/25 - They fixed everything briefly, but now, after the last few rounds of updates, it’s gotten even worse. All my folders used to be arranged alphabetically - now, they’ve taken about half of them, randomly, and put them all at the end of the remaining, completely out of order!!! And not only can you sort them alphabetically again, you can’t even ACCESS them to put photos into!!!! They’re just grayed out!! On top of that, photos I already sorted and files three weeks ago showed up back in my Unorganized Photos today, and every time I resort them, close the app, and reopen it, they’re BACK in the Unsorted!! I’m ready to ditch Slidebox and find another app. QUIT MESSING AROUND WITH SOMETHING THAT WAS ALREADY WORKING FINE!!!!

I love the app. The only feature the app is missing is that there is no swipe to delete in the organized folders. I am trying to delete some old organized pictures and I have to click delete and confirm. It's annoying. Please add that feature. And also auto play video in organized folders. Thank you

all the albums are in the baseline now!!! thats right, even "unsorted" are there in the way! how is that helpful????

This is a good app when it works, but the free version keeps getting stuck on add screens. Even after you watch the full length of the add it stays on it and gives you no way to get out of the add.

Had been using for a while, even though the Organize page switched to a default On This Day, but now it stopped seeing new photos, even after a reinstall.

I buy 50 gb of apple storage. Cnat use it because I have to sort through my photos and delete some first. I have over 9,000+ photos/videos. This app makes it feel like im sorting through but trust me, my number of photos has remained the same and nothing is changing. Im frustrated because I am still deleting the same stuff I thought I deleted already on the app through my photos app instead.

App is good for sorting photos into one album, but if you want to sort a photo into multiple albums, the app won’t let you. It used to. Apple Photos can still do it. They’re removing features even if you paid for the app. Even tried emailing them but they don’t read/answer email.

After the recent update its keep resetting my organized pics and making me have to start from scratch again, pls fix!!

The app is still useable but it’s now more strict it feels like. & why can’t we “hide” photos anymore? We also can’t switch tabs bc sorting locks you in!

I don’t understand how this is so highly rated. I have to see an ad every 4 photos. This is no better than just deleting them myself.

I spent hours, HOURS. Clearing up these pics just for me to look at my recently deleted and they aren’t even there

So I’ve been using Slidebox for YEARS, even paying for no ads/the ability to sort videos. I really liked the snappy UI, general controls, and organization options, which easily outflanked Apple’s photo app. However, this new update has overhauled an insane amount, making certain features harder and simply removing other features to the point where I’m considering deleting the app all together. Some annoying, but ultimately forgivable changes include: - The lack of ability to check your progress with one click(you must save/finish your work so far, and then check) - The choice to open on a menu to choose where you’d like to start organizing instead of just allowing you to dive right into the action - The inability to specifically press into a photo to zoom in—this was especially useful for me, as someone with a visual disability Some debilitating choices, however, include: - The complete reversal of chronological order—before, I used the “unsorted” option to sort through photos from May, then June, the July and so on, but now not only is there no unsorted option, but the “All” option is most recent-going back. I understand that some may prefer this, but the lack of a choice is infuriating. - The newfound inability to share photos while I sorted them, which I would do regularly if I found an old photo I cared to share with someone - The inability to save my progress automatically—I sorted through a few hundred photos, closed the app, and then when I went to reopen they had been unsorted! Apparently, I had to press the X, delete all the photos I had put in the trash, and then I was done, when I used to just be able to close the app at any time and then delete my photos from the trash when I wanted to. The complete change that simply makes it more inconvenient—taking power away from the user in the process—is mind boggling. I sincerely hope they provide options to return to the classic style of sorting, if the user prefers. Otherwise, I can’t recommend this app.

Was a great app at one point, but at some point recently it just stopped working. The photos never load and I’m not sure why. On an iPhone XS and I will be uninstalling. Would 100% install again if it’s ever fixed. Disappointing :(

Used to love it. But now the thinking wheel just keeps spinning. I suspect it was not updated to keep up with the most recent iOS update :(

Update: has stopped working!! Initially went through thousands of photos. Now I have new folders and can manage it all from the app. It has honestly brought peace to a certain part of me. So easy to sort through unwanted photos of the ex! D e l e t e.

Still crashing during organizing. Basically unusable. It’s a shame, I built my workflow around this app and paid $ for it. Would pay more for it to be stable again!

It was easier to delete a bunch of work pictures using this app instead of the camera roll photo. Took me about 30 mins to delete 2300 photos and really cleaned up my iPhone space.

This has relieved me of so much stress and I’m grateful for it. Thanks for everything. My honest opinion is that I can see everything without worry!

I’ve spent years trying to organize my tens of thousands of photos, but this was the app that finally worked for me. Just get it.

i rlly like this app to go through my photos but i would appreciate it if i could go through my old photos again and again incase i get tired of those photos

It used to be so fast to compare and clean up photos and now I have to wait for the Live Photo to play before I can tell if it’s the shot I want to keep or not

This app has become part of my daily routine to slowly but surely trim down the 30k photos and videos in my camera roll. One feature request, I wish it allowed you to review your contributions to shared albums.

I paid the 20$ one time fee which in my opinion is worth it BUT when I go to delete anything more than 100 items in my delete box, the whole app freezes and closes. It still deletes the pictures for me but then I have to re open, it takes awhile to recalibrate then continue. So it’s been great for what it does but pls fix that bug, it makes it feel more exhausting and unreliable

i highly recommend this app it has genuinely helped me with my taking pictures issue. I will be purchasing the subscription thingy because of the usefulness it has gave me. You don’t have to pay to start or anything like that there is a bunch of ads but everything else is perfect. I love the albums you can make it helps sort out literally everything. Such a good app

The app is amazing very useful, very straightforward, great and all, but whenever an ad pops up, it says loading ad and never actually gives me the ad and then let me skip so I’ve just scroll out of the app and go back into it just so I can keep cleaning out my storage and it’s not my internet. I know the solution to this would be to get premium. I’m not doing that to clean up some storage. I feel like I would want to watch an add more than pay for it.

Honestly it’s like really good… i should have cleared my gallery BEFORE my concert so I didn’t run out of storage in the middle of it bc that was embarrassing.. ☹️ but i deleted like 300 photos of unnecessary SH that I didn’t even need??? But ya it’s good so uh very tuff but the ads don’t really load and I just gotta sit there.

I’ve been using this app since I purchased it about 2 1/2 years ago. Initially, I was thrilled because it made organizing my huge quantity of photos fairly quick and easy. But after a while, it suddenly stopped working. Anytime I tried to open it it just froze up and wouldn’t load photos. This went on for months until eventually an update fixed it. It was working again until recently. I have now tried sorting the same photos at least four times and they still remain in my unsorted photos. So at this point it isn’t doing what it’s meant to do at all. I’m very frustrated and will probably just have to find a different app that works consistently.
