The video playback and scrubbing tool is awful. It’s is impossible to navigate to a part of the video you’re interested in. Buggy on mobile and desktop.

I purchased a premium lifetime subscription because I expected Fathom to be reliable for transcription and note-taking. Unfortunately, the app has become very unreliable. Transcriptions are not consistently processing, notes are disappearing, and in some cases entire transcriptions seem to vanish. For an app built around capturing important conversations, meetings, and records, that is a major problem. A premium lifetime customer should not have to worry that important notes or transcripts may disappear after relying on the app. This needs urgent attention from the support and engineering team. Until these issues are fixed, I cannot confidently recommend Fathom for serious work.

Purchased the premium version, ran 3 meetings which were recorded but the summary and transcript doesn’t work. I simply get a message that something isn’t working and get invited to try again; which also doesn’t work

Unfortunately, I can only give this app 1 star. On multiple occasions, the app has cancelled recordings without any warning or notification, resulting in lost content and wasted time. Even more frustrating, recordings that did complete often failed to transcribe properly. For an app that relies on recording and transcription, reliability is essential. Losing recordings without notice makes it difficult to trust the app for anything important. I hope the developers address these issues, but based on my experience, the app is currently too unreliable to recommend.

It says there’s a free limited version, but there’s no way to get to it without going through the pay version.

Decide on this app. Lost all my recordings from a company managers meeting. So upsetting!

Fake fathom app

Just such a scammy looking aesthetic - I tried to download on my phone and all of a sudden I’m paying for premium plan when I already have the free version and now I can cancel. They’re aesthetically terrible.

I don’t recommend it at all.

They are clearly trying to get people to buy thinking it is the “real” Fathom AI Notetaker that many of us use.

I used the app for an important meeting. 4 minutes into the meeting the app stopped recording.

I tried a couple of times. I’m not sure why, but it’s not working, it always gives me an error message.

Recording feature randomly turns off and doesn’t save the recording.

Was looking for an app of the similar AI Note Taking service. This app here has misleadingly taken the same name and logo of an actual company and does not offer any helpful AI services. Watch out.

Used it to take meeting notes - failed to get anything at all from it. I’m now struggling as I have no meeting notes. Trying to cancel the subscription as I’ve now been charged. But it is not obvious how to do this. Now have to waste more of my time emailing them to stop future payments

Record a very important meeting that is about an hour long and I just crashes cannot convert the media to text. Very disappointing.

The app didn’t record half of conversations, a lot of transactions have : a, oh, a, oh a, oh. On the context you can get way was in the meeting , of the part of it’s recorded. Very disappointed

In a quick rush to capture a face to face meeting among multiple parties, I download FathomAI to record the meeting, transcribe and to summarise the key points of the meeting and follow up actions. After the meeting, it was transcribed, and that’s that. I was looking very hard for the non existent summarise meeting feature. In the end, this app can only transcribe the meeting, that’s all. I think using the term ‘A.I.’ is a misrepresentation of the capabilities that AI note taking tools should be exhibiting.

I have been using fathom for a few years online to record my meetings, and I wanted to download the app to see what else I can do with it. The branding looks the same, but this does not appear to be affiliated with them and may be violating their trademarks.

Waste of money I’ve tried to contact them with no joy
