I liked the app when I was able to use it. I did the pace check workout and the app worked well for that. Since logging out, the app will not let me log back in. When I log in with my email, a link is sent to my email. I click the link, I’m brought to the app, and I can’t get past the log in screen. My phone is updated and new, so I’m not sure what the issue is 🤷

I just downloaded the app. I am disappointed that it doesn’t give me the option to train for a 5k. The only options are 10k, half, or marathon. Also, it doesn’t sync with Strava. It only syncs with Garmin, Apple, or one other that I can’t remember the name.

I’ll be honest, I have used many apps and none of them made me follow strictly as I used to prefer to run only weekends. But with Kotcha I started having discipline and now I run 5-6 days a week and follow everything also I love the way how coach support is there. I will recommend to everyone

This is a nice app which is good for someone who are unable to train in a running club. The program is reasonable and not too harsh for “partime runners”. Looking forward to see the improvements in the coming running season🤝

I’ve been using Kotcha to get prepared to a marathon. It’s helpful for me because it allows making adjustments on the plan if something unexpected occurs easily. The coach provides good feedback after every workout and helps with these adjustments on the go. On the other hand, to make things even better, I would suggest to have a way to set up the maximum time for each session (like one hour during business days). I haven’t found out how to do that yet.
Unknown · 2026/06/15 06:12 · pinus310
Loved the app, their pacing takes into account the condition. The feedback is also built it to make sure you are focusing on the effort instead of the paces suggested

I’ve enjoyed it overall for daily training. It did improve my fitness during my last marathon training block. I love having my workouts laid out for the week and the ability to adjust days according to my work schedule. When training for my last marathon, I was a little concerned I didn’t have any 20mile long runs but I almost PR’d so maybe it’s what I needed. Lastly, I like the deload weeks which I believe helps prevent injury. They continue to improve the app with various upgrades and continuously ask for actionable feedback from their users. They are continuing to get the kinks worked out. I’m along for the ride.

So far everything has been going great! Plan is doable and doesn’t feel like I am dancing around the edge of injury which has occurred with another app.
Unknown · 2026/06/14 14:49 · crissy.f
I have found this app motivational during the long winter months pre marathon season. The virtual coach sets me goals that I think I could never accomplish but I always achieve them. It’s strange how it knows exactly how far it can push me, like it really understands my limits. Since using the App I have set new PB in both marathon and half in times I once would have thought not possible off me. I would definitely recommend to any runner of any ability it’s a great app!

Kotcha has one of the best training plans I’ve used. It really feels like having a coach, and the workouts have helped me improve while still feeling strong and motivated. The app itself, however, needs work. The UI is not very friendly, it still feels a bit like a beta, and the lack of options like light mode makes the experience less enjoyable. The training features are also missing some useful tools compared to apps like Runna. I’d love to see pre-run guidance with weather, things to watch for, and more workout options like hill training. The post-run feedback is excellent, but it could be even better if it included weather and conditions in the analysis.

Kotcha is an amazing running app. I used to think I was doing great with my old app, but once I switched to Kotcha everything changed. My race times have improved, and I’ve shaved at least a full minute off my runs. It keeps me motivated, pushes me in the right ways, and shows real progress. I absolutely love it.
Unknown · 2026/06/14 11:37 · Samsia81
I’m a new, middle-aged runner training for his first half marathon. I like how the app makes training so easy to follow (I was otherwise overwhelmed with information overload when I was researching for a self coaching plan).

Unknown · 2026/06/14 08:53 · William97runner
Liking everything so far, I’m training and building towards a sub 3 marathon. I started around 40km a week pre Kotcha. It has got me up to doing 80km a week injury free. It built slowly and comfortably. Any discomforts at the end of week reviews you add to ai chat and will adjust the next week accordingly.

Sensible run suggestions, the freedom to switch things around, and most of all - the ability to alter your plan due to life getting in the way. Kotcha delivers on all of this, and has a simple attractive interface. How accurate are the predicted timings? Will have to see for myself. But so far, am thoroughly enjoying it.

I have been using the Kotcha app for 7 weeks and love it. I just completed the Boston Marathon (!!!) and will be completing my 7th and 8th marathon and 2nd ultra before the end of 2026. This app has everything I need. The workouts are customized to my current fitness level and give me the push I need especially for speed work. After the free trial, I knew I needed to use this app regularly for year round training. I am excited to see how I have progressed and will continue to use this app for the foreseeable future. I love that it integrates very well with Garmin and Strava. It is simple, yet efficient and allows me to shift workouts throughout the week as needed as a busy mom of two young children. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using Kotcha for about 3 months now. I’ve used it for 2 half marathons. The first half I only had 6 weeks of Kotcha training before the race. I ran comfortably well within my target range. The second half marathon was 8 weeks later and I bettered my time by just over 5 minutes. This app really does work. I plan to continue to use the app for my upcoming marathon in November.

Been using Kotcha since its release and have now used it to train for two half marathons. Having used a few different training apps, this is one of the better. The plan adjusts well to how you’re performing adjusting future runs as required. Strong updates since launch have improved the experience. It’s by no means a finished product, but the team are quick to respond to feedback and I’m excited to see where it’s going.

I live the app because it genuinely is fun and the training programs are easy to do and really beginner friendly. I’d give it a 5 star but I can’t as it started failing after the update. I can’t access the app and keeps spitting an error that I’m offline when my cellular network is on 5g. Please fix as I really want to use this app as I’m training for a 10K and don’t want my training to get disrupted. I’m 18 weeks in and have 6 more weeks left and don’t want to start from scratch.

Really enjoying using this app to train for my next marathon. It’s a different approach but seems to be working well for me - if you are in a rut or looking to change things up this could be just the approach you need. It’s now so there have been a couple bugs but I’ve gotten answers and fixes from the app team, they seem quite responsive. Would love to see it be a little more flexible (incorporating workouts I’m doing with friends or run clubs and modifying the plan around that, allowing you to record extra/unscheduled runs, etc.) so the smart part can use a bit of work but it’s overall been a great boost to my training.

A little about me: I’m not a professional runner. I’m an endurance cyclist, who is well versed in training for 100+ mile road & off-road events. I know what training works for me and that tends to be long Zone 2 sessions. I give this intro because Zone 2 training is the foundation of the Kotcha app and what drew me to it in the first place. That and the influence of Kipchoge, of course. I used this app for 3 months, to help me train for my first marathon. And I enjoyed the app and experience for the most part. The workouts are easy to follow and it’s nice how each week’s schedule is released on Sunday and paces are adjusted based on your performance - feeling less like a cookie-cutter training plan. But, the problem I encountered with Kotcha is the lack of real endurance training. Over the past 3 months, my weekly mileage didn’t increase in any measurable way. And my weekend “long run” was no longer than my weekly “easy run.” Unless something is wrong with my plan, I’m doubtful this is how the NN running team actually trains. I see a lot of potential in the Kotcha platform. But in order to be prepared for my event I felt the need to switch to a competitor, who would give me the mileage I need to succeed.
Unknown · 2026/02/22 22:15 · Grovelander IHR
I’ve been using Kotcha for my first marathon block and it’s genuinely changed how I think about training. I previously used Runna and often found myself dreading the long runs and hard sessions. It felt like I was constantly chasing mileage and pace. Kotcha is the opposite. It slows you down when you need it, tells you off if you push too hard, and actually reduces your workload if you’re getting close to overdoing it. If you’re expecting 30–34 km long runs by peak week, you might be kind of disappointed: Feeding your ego is not the philosophy here. And if you’re posting everything on Strava and worrying about the Running Police wondering why your paces look slower, you’ll need to deal with that . But you will get fitter. My aerobic fitness has improved massively, I recover better, and I’m enjoying running again instead of feeling burnt out. For me, that’s been the biggest win.

I really like the interface, the slickness and simplicity of this app. I like the way they structure your week. However I’m not enjoying the lack of clarity around the overall plan structure. I’m training for a marathon and am 7 weeks into the plan, but I’ve not been given a long run yet beyond 12km. Race is around 11 weeks away now. I have lost confidence that these will ever appear so will be switching to another app. There is no functionality yet to customise heart rate zones, the app is using generic zones although I have a pretty high max heart rate for my age. Because of this it appears the AI model is scaling back my training, thinking that I’m fatigued, although I feel very fresh. I’m open to trying this again once the functionality is built out more
1.0.13 · 2026/01/03 15:06 · NoelleWallace
I really like the layout and time based workouts for this training app, but there are so many issues that made my experience sub par. There is a lag in loading accurate feedback and I often had to completely close out of the app and restart it. I finally stopped using it though after encountering a lack of flexibility to change plans and start fresh, take a recovery period after a race, or pause a plan because due to an injury. I appreciated the ability in other training apps to schedule travel, illness or rest days without just having to skip workouts. Kotcha is in a beta stage in my opinion and they should be offering it at a reduced price and asking for feedback to develop into something that can compete in the space it’s trying to enter. The only modifications are number of days you want to run and changing current paces. Other apps offer different goals such as increasing speed, increasing endurance, etc. I hope that with another year or two of development this app becomes one I want to try again because there were some aspects that I enjoyed, but I was too frustrated by the rigidity to continue using it in the current state.

Before, the app had connectivity with Coros watches, but for some reason that was removed. In addition, the workouts are not well synchronized with the watch. The price is also a bit high compared to the competition — Kipchoge’s name alone won’t sustain the app in the long term.

As a former college athlete breaking into the running world, Kotcha is exactly what was missing as I’ve always had a coach in some form and this fills that gap perfectly. It’s incredibly easy to use, with a clean layout that makes getting started feel effortless. From workout intensity to training goals, it’s very customizable and adaptable to any schedule. It meets you where you’re at & adjusts without feeling like you’re falling behind. Highly recommend to anyone — from beginners to experienced marathon runners!

Kotcha plans runs sends them to apple watch automatically. Headphones help you stay on pace during different phases of the workout. Workouts can be rescheduled by drag and drop on weekly calendar in iphone kotcha app. And runs get logged back to app from phone. It’s a fun way to spice up training.

Nice, slick, simple interface that syncs well with Garmin. Week 1 was a ‘get to know you’ run that is supposed to inform the rest of the plan, then a long run. Week 2 has started with a really solid interval session. 3 more runs in the diary - all easy to move around if the times don’t suit. The app gives good simple feedback and shows performance against planning clearly. The AI coaches give good clear answers whether you ask about using the app, how it works or more general stuff (eg. low cal veggie meals good for recovery - a few decent suggestions straight up). No mention of payment yet - I’m sure it will come - but if it keeps it up I’d be more than happy to pay.

I have had an easy time using the app so far and paces are accurate. I like the simple interface & it syncs well w/ my Garmin. It seems they will be rolling out other race distances soon, but the ones currently available work for me for now.
