I’m cheering for manus, but feels like zero innovation or upgrades have been happening with their model intelligence which is effectively a block box mystery model. Max is t even close to open or Fable, and Lite is so bad you basically can’t do the most trivial task involving automation and scheduling. Their daily credit recharge for lite only is such a joke, completely useless. Allow daily credits be used on any effort level. Upgrade your models, they feel years old now. Light is a joke, scrap it or make it smarter.

I had canceled my subscription but some how it still went thru but I didn’t have the money in my account. So instead of just canceling like normal it continues to try and pay for the subscription that I canceled. Since there is no money in the account then as soon as money hit it will take it and because my payment method fails I can not even get a free app from the App Store and the only way to remedy that is if I change payment methods with one that has the $50. But since I don’t use the app or the free tier is perfectly fine with me I don’t know why this won’t stop. And there isn’t anywhere to even complain about it other than here. So if it’s Apple I’m sorry for putting this in your review cause I love your app. But if it’s you then my one star is totally supposed to be there

Doesn’t really do what is asked. Need consistent reminders on what is needed to be done. Isn’t consistent and forget input and randomly does what it wants. Then the credits are deducted even if it’s don’t incorrectly and credit debited again to have it fixed. Organized crime I’m really unimpressed. Would have given 0 stars if I could.

The free tier is relatively competent and they use that to bring you in and then not actually provide services. The bonus credits are of no consequence when the model is intentionally made as stupid as can be immediately after you pay. Suddenly, it shifts from competent to illiterate with regard to instruction adherence.

I wanted to like Manus and the platform itself has a lot of potential, but my experience with support and billing has been extremely frustrating. I am a paid Manus Pro subscriber and used my included monthly credits. When I attempted to purchase additional credits, every purchase failed with Apple’s “Your purchase could not be completed” error. Before contacting support, I spent hours troubleshooting: • Updated the app • Restarted devices • Tested on both iPhone and iPad • Signed out and back into Media & Purchases • Tried multiple payment methods • Added an entirely different debit card • Verified Apple Cash worked • Verified other App Store purchases worked successfully The problem only occurred with Manus purchases. Support repeatedly pointed me toward Apple, despite the fact that other App Store purchases worked without issue. After extensive back-and-forth, support eventually acknowledged there was a backend synchronization issue on my account. However, I still could not purchase credits and was left waiting for technical review without a clear timeline for resolution. The most frustrating part was spending significant time troubleshooting and being sent in circles between Apple-related explanations and Manus support before the account issue was finally acknowledged. The software itself has promise, but if you rely on it for work, be aware that billing and account issues can leave you unable to purchase credits when you need them most, and support resolution may not be immediate. I hope the company improves its billing system, account synchronization process, and escalation procedures because the product has potential, but the customer support experience did not match the quality of the platform.

5 days, 6 support agents, zero resolution. Sandbox down since June 3. Each agent promises escalation then goes silent. Was told to wait on chat for a specialist – waited 90 minutes, nobody came. Their own AI diagnosed the problem as an infrastructure failure requiring manual intervention. Paying customer with a product delivery commitment. Avoid until their support process is functional

Don’t waste your money performance of the app is just like all the other ones out there one thing I will change or one thing I would change is how the credits work or at least it needs to be reviewed. One simple thing I would change. That might get people to keep this app is that 300 daily credit refresh to stack on top of it self. because from someone who actually enjoys using this. What once your credit or up and you have to wait to refresh or pay more this app becomes useless and there’s no point in having it. Unless you’re willing to pay, you won’t get much out of this.

"Be careful with Manus AI if you are doing simple work. I asked the agent to run a basic task—to simply fix a prompt—but it completely ignored my instructions. Instead, it ran an entirely different, complex prompt I didn't ask for, burning through over 250 credits in a very short time. The autonomous agent ran wild and did exactly what I told it not to do, wasting my compute limit on unwanted tasks

I am deeply disappointed by the gap created by marketing hype and actual use-ability of the software. I have wasted a lot of time shepherding this AI tool. I had high hopes that it actually might successfully build the tool I really desired. I would be willing to be a formal software tester for the company. It could be great, but it serious disservices it the AI community and itself because of the hype and lack of the promised sophistication that allows for prompt-to-deliverable software simplicity.

Manus AI is impressive in demos, but real-world use has been frustrating. The biggest problem is how fast it burns through credits while trying to fix its own mistakes. You end up paying premium pricing just to babysit the AI while it breaks layouts, misunderstands instructions, or loops through tasks incorrectly. The concept is great. The execution still feels early. I also noticed that the more complex the project gets, the less reliable the output becomes. It works better building something from scratch than trying to edit or improve an existing project. Once you start making revisions, things can spiral fast. The marketing makes it seem like you can replace entire teams overnight. In reality, you still need experience to catch problems before they turn into bigger ones. There’s definitely potential there, but right now it feels more like an expensive beta test than a polished business tool.

Very scammy about the free trial; I was charged $43 and within a day cancelled and asked for a refund, Apple denied it. I didn’t realize the trial was short and I don’t think it was clearly/transparently disclosed until after I was charged.

This app has a serious customer service and billing problem. Manus consumed a large number of paid credits during a failed agent session, repeatedly worked from the wrong project context, mishandled files, displaced or recreated figures in an academic manuscript, caused figure-caption mismatches, and then support deflected the issue through AI-style responses instead of providing meaningful human review. The biggest issue is not simply that the AI made mistakes. The issue is that users are paying for credits, the system consumes those credits while producing defective work, and then the company does not provide legitimate human customer service to resolve billing and service-performance failures. Replacing real support with incompetent AI agents for every conversation is unacceptable when real money and paid credits are involved. I am contacting the developer directly, preserving screenshots, chat logs, timestamps, credit records, subscription details, and defective outputs. I am also reviewing external complaint options, including CFPB, FTC, state consumer-protection agencies, payment-provider dispute options, and class-action counsel. This conduct may implicate consumer-protection laws and unfair/deceptive practices standards, including the FTC Act’s prohibition on unfair or deceptive acts or practices, state deceptive trade practices laws, breach of contract principles, unjust enrichment, and unfair billing practices where paid credits are consumed by defective platform performance and support refuses meaningful resolution. AI agents are not ready to replace real customer service for billing disputes, failed sessions, refunds, and damaged paid work product. If a company wants to test autonomous agents on users’ real projects and real money, it needs human review, real escalation, and fair refund procedures. Manus has failed badly here, and I will be pursuing this further.

My monthly subscription was $200 a month. When I used up my tokens I paid for more. Manus auto upgraded me from $200 to $1500 which is ridiculously and very sneaky and scammy. Didn’t let me downgrade after and then the only button that work was the get more tokens button. Took 2k from my business and when I asked for help on the matter they went silent. It’s been 2 weeks now and I’m having to dispute with my bank since I’ve heard back from no one. Buyers beware!

Crediting system doesn’t seem to work, daily and monthly. Creates mockups that look great, but then you ask for it to just build that exact webpage. No links, no sub-pages, and no changes to mockup other than turning into a webpage and not an image. Kept failing to add images, background image, reran until was tired of spending credits. That was a simple static web page it suggested the mockup for but couldn’t build.

I cancelled the service inside the Manus app because I believed the subscription would stop. However, I later realized the App Store subscription was still active and I was charged for several billing cycles unintentionally. Other apps such as Grok provide much clearer guidance or redirect users to Apple subscription management. Manus did not make this clear enough, which caused confusion and unexpected charges. I would appreciate if you could consider a refund. I strongly suggest improving the cancellation flow and warning messages for App Store subscriptions.

I have had manus for two months and I was in love at first he was perfect . Now with every update yall are making him dumb and stubborn . Manus was listening to my prompts and command and factory now he uses my promots as a mere suggestion and does his own thing continuously wasting credit apologies for it then still waste credits not completing task according to prompts given!! DO NOT BUY THIS APP FOR CODING I used the free version 1500 credits with one prompt. I then updated, ran a moderately complex review of a SaaS MVP, had it write and test a single assembly, and it used up my total 4000 credits, then offered to upgrade to 12000 credits for only $90/ mo. That would last me another 4 hours. I could hire another FE for these prices. In fairness: I did not test other agents in this AI.

I like the idea of being able to put all my ideas and needs into one space and Manus will post for me, but it’s not reliable at all. Has trouble me logging into accounts. Great idea, but may be a few years away from being my main trusted tool.

Detailed analysis, research and report generation. Has a hard time following simple tasks that are routine and supposed to be persistent. Resets sessions and does compressions, without warning, losing all previously uploaded files and information, even when I’ve requested that it saves all information before resetting. Far too costly for what’s being offered but if you want deep analysis on one time sessions/tasks then this is a great app for your need. Just don’t try and continue a session for more than a short period, I’d suggest a day or less, but it could be even less time needed to prevent loss if tasks require a large amount of processing since that will likely cause the compression to occur and data and information to be lost.

The model tends to drift and act unpredictably. I provided all necessary details for a research prompt to generate a provider comparison report and a SWOT analysis, but it began browsing my GitHub repositories and retrieving unrelated information. Considering the cost and limited credits, along with the frequent need for course corrections which consume credits, this is extremely frustrating. The token-to-credit ratio is highly disproportionate. I have a $20 subscription with 4,000 credits. Initial simple questions with lite went smoothly, so I switched between model tier to max, and one prompt used 3,000 credits. Now, with a daily refresh of 300 credits, I’ve used up my limit trying to correct the research question that the model drifted from and never completed, due to the unbalanced token-to-credit ratio.

Put like this, I get more comprehension in conversations with Manus AI than I do with people. People in today’s world make simple conversations extremely complex with their emotions and entitlement which always leads to arguments. I’ll just run my ideas through Manus AI and cut through the confusion and frustration and get right to the production. But currently I’m having a monthly credit restore issue.

The AI will not listen to what I’m saying. I’m trying to have it do some work for my website that I own and I’ve told it at least 10 times that I own it, but it will not register that it understands that it’s my website. I’m trying to have it replicate my site so I can migrate it

I purchased a subscription to an AI generator that provides points to create content like images. However, my experience has been very frustrating. When I request images with specific details, the results are not professional and do not meet my expectations. Despite giving clear instructions, the AI fails to produce quality work. Additionally, the system keeps using up my points without delivering satisfactory results. Once my points run out, it asks me to pay more money just to continue or complete what I originally requested. Overall, I feel like I’ve wasted money on a service that doesn’t deliver what it promises, and it feels misleading—almost like a scam.

I was really disappointed. Couple things. It wasn’t listening to my directions at all and burned up 10k credits to finally listen to me and give me what I had been telling it the whole time. I got frustrated and requested a credit refund. I didn’t get a response and I was coming up on about 2-3000 credits left so I kush stop using it all together. I have nothing itself that’s automated or used manus unless I’m telling it to in a chat. But when I returned I found I had less than 300 credits and they refunded me 156 credits for the errors. Needless to say I’ve decided to keep Manus AI out of my stack. I can’t have AI tools I can’t trust.

I never leave app reviews, but I am making an exception here because I genuinely feel obligated to warn people. My experience with Manus AI was viscerally demoralizing. I came to it specifically for its claimed agentic capabilities. I was not new to AI tools, and I was not expecting magic. I wanted a system that could follow constraints, reason carefully, and help execute real work. Instead, what I experienced felt like a shameless cash grab. Very early on, it became clear that important instructions and behavioral constraints were being ignored. The platform repeatedly pushed forward on incomplete or inaccurate understanding, while maintaining a steady tone of confidence that made it seem like meaningful progress was being made. In practice, that confidence was misplaced. The output quality was bad, the research was weak, and the execution was unreliable. Worse, the system appeared to engage in patterns that drove unnecessary token consumption. It would continue operating with excessive optimism, incomplete reasoning, and poor constraint adherence, while creating the impression that buying more tokens was justified because the solution was just one more push away. That happened to me more than once. Across only a few days, I spent money on the platform itself, spent more on additional tokens and upgrades, and then spent additional money acting on business directions the platform helped frame, only to end up with nothing functional, nothing market-ready, and nothing that justified the cost. My overall impression is that Manus AI is not simply flawed. It presents itself as more reliable and execution-capable than it actually is, and the result, in my experience, was a system that felt manipulative, wasteful, and exploitative. I do not recommend it. I am leaving this review because I do not want other people to confuse its confident tone with actual competence and end up burning time, money, and morale the way I did.
