Meta bought them and the improvements stopped on a half baked app for a company with top tier hardware. It’s a shame to lose this as my second brain. The lifelong times are all over the place out of order. Transferring is a pain and works maybe half the time. If the app opens and lets me use it (brand new iPhone 16 pro), all that’s worth using is copy paste into a stable llm.

Dan Siroker, the cofounder and CEO of Limitless, sold out the company before it even fully came to market. I regret buying a Limitless pendant because I was considering using Plaude, Pocket, or Limitless and the moment I purchased it, Dan sold his company to Meta and abandoned this project. I have still been trying to use the recorder, but there are so many bugs in the app that my critical recordings are lost and the interface is not useful. I recently went to a three day conference for my company and used the pendant to record important conversations with potential prospects. The app said that those recordings were syncing and then they disappeared. This was a terrible thing to do to all of Limitless’s customers who invested in the Kickstarter or purchased the pendant or a subscription. Buyer beware when dealing with Limitless or any of Dan’s future companies.

Sold to Meta without notice ahead of time

It was very good app until meta buy it. They removed many futures. I think meta ll use all data for meta ai.

Used to be great until they hold to me, Nerf to the privacy to basically guarantee they’ll train on your data. I’d go elsewhere.

Not useful if I can record.

UPDATE FROM PRIOR REVIEW STAY AWAY. Since META purchased the company no longer any privacy protections. The pendant is now a bad paperweight. Took 3 emails to get my account and data erased. I also never accepted new “privacy” terms. —- Loved the pendant. Paying for unlimited but as of late it’s barely usable. App freezes 9 out of 10 times and is basically useless. Hope it gets back to a stable useful product otherwise it’s just not worth spending the subscription fee at that price point.

Hardware has become landfill refuse. Meta purchased the company, which means the “privacy first” aspect is gone. Meta is a data collection company. Without keys to unlock the firmware, we can’t build anything interesting for it. Neat concept consumed by a juggernaut, basically killing the whole thing. Fun while it lasted.

I’ve been trying to reach support for several days and no one will respond. I’ve tried to reac the founder through email, support through email, the founder on IG and no response. The device was sent to me in operable!! Steer clear and it’s a known issue so they are probably running into this everywhere and trying to avoid replacing as many as possible. Sad I was really excited for this.

Without warning, all the features I have been paying for have been shut off unless I agree to new terms and privacy policy from Meta. Not so “limitless” after all. Checking out Omi app as an alternative for now.

Got all the money. Then quickly sold to Meta and and turn off the service . Your product is nothing without the community (we crowdfunded the company)We will never come back after this trust issue. Open AI will make the better competitor in the future . Limitless and his CEO will remember as failure.

buggy app, no support, bad privacy policy- I will no longer use it now that they got acquired by Facebook

This company has done a bait & switch twice. Run, don’t walk away - run! Avoid this product.

Their AI support is trash and can’t get in contact with anybody. I purchased a subscription and dependent. The email I used is not populating my subscription and they just keep suggesting I transfer subscription from one email to the other. I can’t get in contact with anybody going to have to fraud this out and return it

I don’t know how i will like this. I need to talk to customer service and have been trying for 3 days. Very frustrating

The service is absolutely terrible. They have an AI chatbot that promises you’ll be connected with a live person, but that didn't work for me, even after multiple attempts. They claim to respond within a four-hour window, but that never happened. If you accidentally delete your account while trying to fix issues with transferring data from the mobile app to the web app, the experience is frustrating. It simply doesn't work. Additionally, if you're trying to recover your account for a paid unlimited plan, you will not receive any response.

Won’t connect- Total waste of money

Giving a one star to get developer attention here. Up to know love it - connect to my ChatGPT via API. Fix this! Unusable - I restart, deleted, reinstall, reset to default. No syncing.

Simply will not sync or update log. Do not buy

The pendant very rarely pairs with my phone. Support said a few weeks ago that they were working on a fix, but it’s been radio silence ever since. I very much regret paying upfront for a year of now useless service with no recourse for a refund.

Not very happy with the pendent it just stopped working, no help to guide or lead me to fix or solve the issue

Crashes all the time.. set up is insanely frustrating.. waste of time..

Worked great and then stopped pairing with iphone. After trying every step on the troubleshoot page about 10 times and failing to get it to pair - delete app, reinstall etc. it is now useless. There is zero support other than the troubleshooting page so, once those ideas don’t fix it, you are out of luck. Buy it at your own risk

Poor device accompanied with a horrible app

Was excited to get this and try it. Was not thrilled with limited features, I’m guessing it was supposed to be a magnet that held it together but did not work. So I would put in pocket and just deal with it. I kept losing it because it had no way to stay attached. In less than 2 months I lost it for good. Paid an outrageous amount for a membership for the year that I cannot use. You would be better off just using Siri on your phone and having it text or email you the info. They have a good idea, just poorly executed, poorly designed.

Concept is great, execution isn’t there because it’s feeding incorrect data since the transcription is so off all the time.

To be honest, I don’t know if this works well. You can’t do anything without buying their device. This seems to be a needless roadblock for no reason other than greed. My phone has a microphone, why can’t I try out their app without committing to the wearable? If it works as well as they say it does, then I’d buy the pendant. Also, do I have wear that stupid thing 24/7? There’s no way to record a meeting if I forget to wear it or it runs out of battery? Seems like a huge miss, and there are plenty of other options that can do both. Also the fact that it doesn’t centralize the data with rewind. This one is going to be a pass from me

The Limitless Pendant is beautifully built — the hardware feels premium, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. But that’s where the praise ends. The software experience is seriously underdeveloped and lacks the polish, features, and reliability you’d expect from such an ambitious product. For the price — plus the added subscription fee — it’s just not worth it. A great piece of hardware can’t compensate for software that feels half-baked and uninspired. I’ve also tried similar devices, like others in this space priced around $99, and the story is the same: sleek hardware, but underwhelming, overpriced software. These products simply don’t deliver on the promises — save your money for now.

The pendant advertises support for 103 languages, yet transcribes audio in a language I can’t read—with no option to switch the transcription to English. It’s unreasonable to expect users to learn a foreign language just to operate such an expensive product.

Subscription is so expensive and locking you to their system! I’m ready to pay $9.99 and do all the transcription in my phone not in your servers, and us my own gpt subscription to use with my work and my life!

Old Rewind Pro yearly plan just downgraded to 6000 min per month, 3.3 hrs per 30 days, 5hrs costs $1. Eek! VERY overpriced, comparable for meetings on Mac, but useless for Pendent without spending far far more. (Account broke for a day for old users, they had to manually reconnect us) App is very basic, UX doesn’t even allow notes, and UI looks like a notepad. No integration with ecosystem, no support outside a few basic services, must have Google Calendar. Not a good alternative to Bee, Otter, or even Apple Notes which can do all of this and more at their free tiers. Cannot even change models like SuperWhisper or go offline. Price changes, high prices, barely usable app, do not recommend at all. High price, no features to justify it for an overpriced digital recorder (pendant) that’s locked down. Better to run Apple Notes and buy a wireless mic. Also just saw that their price for the lapel recorder Pendant is $499! This is Humane AI levels of junk. I paid $59 on an $89 regular price, shipping costs later snuck in after purchase, they modified my receipt years later to show fake regular price of $199. Support, this all looks like a giant scam. You all are joking with a near 1000% markup for essentially a locked down Bluetooth digital recorder that can’t even be used with other apps, right? Also, trying to delete out all my data to abandon this, and app refuses to delete history now after my account was reconnected to billing correctly.

Backed this project forever ago and did not explain about a paid system for monthly usage. I’m on day 2 and have used 300 out of 1200 minutes for the month already. Super useless device if the free model can’t even support general usage. Nickel and dime ya. All good though. Other than that, it is a super solid device and app. Just a shame you have to pay more now.

I’m still going to give the app a good review, however, I’ve been using it since it’s inception and now I’m not able to tag people’s voices in the state of Texas. It says it is limited due to my location. I can find no way of determining what is causing this. Still a five star review but close to being downgraded.

The Limitless Pendant and app have made a world of difference in my everyday life. It automatically creates reminders for all those random things I promise people I will do in the middle of the day, and then promptly forget. The app captures transcripts quickly and relatively accurately. The names features still needs work; often voices are mislabeled. But overall, I find this app and pendant are indispensable.

There has been a lot of issues with the app and pendant lately and it’s getting to be a pain. I was one of the first to get the set up and I totally expected hiccups but they have been shipping a great product up until about a month or so ago. Currently I can’t use the app because I am told to update it but when I go to update here at the App Store there is no update. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So I guess I wait until the cart gets behind the horse.

I am retired and in good health, however, I have started to forget fine points in a conversation at a doctor appointment, or the items that I need to get at the grocery store, and especially remembering the names of a new family that just moved in next door. The app creates a text of my conversations on my iPhone. I can review it and even search it to find specific details. The setup is quick so it can identify my voice. I recently searched the information from a conversation at church. Seeing the text in small segments helped me find the exact information I needed. Now instead of writing things down on paper, I only need to say it and the app will have it there.

Yo grabo todo el día literal y luego le puedo preguntar cualquier cosa de mi día y lo responde, lo nuevo de reminders está fantástico, lo único que no me gusta es que al app no está disponible en idioma español ni los reminders, entonces hay inconsistencia en los idiomas de la interfaz de usuario, en las transcripciones, resúmenes, chat IA si funciona bien en español. Por favor agreguen español a la interfaz de usuario! Recomiendo al 100% este producto yyy adicionalmente el servicio al cliente es extremadamente bueno.

Honestly, I don’t get why this isn’t rated five stars. I’m a gadget guy and I’ve tried everything out there—nothing else even comes close. Maybe in the future there’ll be more options, but right now this is the best by far.

Limitless is fantastic since you wear it all day and it just keeps recording. The next morning it will give you a summary of the day as well as a to do list. You can ask specific questions like “what time did we decide to meet?” It is an external brain. The app has made noticeable improvements over the last months, allowing for starred conversations and speaker labels. It has a hard time consistently recognizing speakers but I think this will get better over time

From what I can see after a week of use, is it struggles to capture names or inputs them incorrectly. Also, it ends up capturing about 75% of what I tell people I will do… but it’s not yet a confident replacement for a to do list. The ai/chat component struggles. I often see it timing out due to it repeating itself. I believe in the product and the company, but so far my experience has just been alright. Looking forward to the improvements! Hopefully it gets better! I’d love nothing more than to give it an honest 5 star review but there is still some work to be done!

A very useful device and ai service!

I am a Limitless employee. The more data I capture, the more useful it is! I find it most useful to look back on networking conversations where there's often follow up tasks / companies and terms I want to look up after. It's also fun to reflect on dialogue with friends when we're out and about.

The hardware is well made. Their are some fixable software issues that are not deal breakers. I lose some conversations and meetings that are just missed by the pendant. The app seems overloaded sometimes with more data than it can process - it is just constantly churning and updating. When it starts churning I know it is about to lose data. Their is a glitch here they need to figure out. It would be cool if the software had integration with Apple’s Journaling app so it would create automatic journal entries for me every night. It’s a work in progress and I think the software will get better with time. I’m happy with it overall given it’s a small business and it is very hard and expensive to launch both hardware and software at the same time. I think it will eventually come together.

I backed this project about a year ago at this point and I feel like my experience as someone who was an early supporter of the pendant has not been up to par. Specifically there was no transparency around the fact that I would have to pay at minimum $20 a month for my pendant to even be useful given that the transcription minutes are consumed passively by just random noise, there's no student discount or anything available, and the app itself is quite buggy with some features like AI chat not being functional at all. The core concept of recording everything and having it transcribed is really great and I think this has been more useful than I anticipated it would be, but it just makes me think that everything on top of this layer (search, organization, chat) has not been executed well. I would gladly pay for the subscription if all of these things worked well: if the interface for viewing in the conversations were better and if whatever kind of segmentation of the conversations they do behind the scenes were cleaner, but right now it is kind of just a mess. Sometimes I will have one conversation that is split into multiple blocks, making it even more confusing when I have to scroll through all of them, and then the organization features that are supposed to make it so you don't have to scroll through everything are just not functional. on the other hand I would be totally fine with the current shortcomings if there weren't this subscription that is necessary to use the hardware at all.

Just got my pendant this week and it’s been a great experience so far! Setup was smooth — got to have Limitless record my voice sample and now it knows when I am talking vs someone else! The magnets on the pendant are pretty strong — works well on my shirt, non intrusive. It’s fun to get a summary of my day. I use it as a way to review my interaction with my kids! Highly recommend!

The product has been great thus far and I look forward to seeing product updates - the bar is being set high for the competition

I’ve only had the pendant for little bit but compared to all the other devices I’ve used this looks very promising! Congrats to the team. I know they shipped late but it was worth the wait. Very happy so far. Keep adding new features!

This is a memory aid for my life, I can be present with my friends, family, and work and never miss any details. Particularly useful for work as I no longer have to take notes! I will wear this thing for the rest of my life it is amazing thank you Limitless.

Really enjoying the Pendant so far. It saved my bacon at Costco today by making me a list of what I needdd to buy just from my conversation that morning when I forgot.
