As of the time of writing, it’s been 10 months since its last development ! Honestly at first look, I loved it. But it lacks the continuous improvement that I would’ve expected. The experience of going through a plan and working out is not optimal. Not sure if it’s worth it. They definitely got some parts right, but missed the others in a big way. 1. I like seeing a video of the movement as I’m preforming it 2. I like there art AI generated and also user generated plans 2. I like swiping and having rest. What I would like to see: 1. Rest should be customizable per movement 2. Rest should be there between blocks too 3. Whenever I stop the plan in going through, it should automatically save my weights, regardless of weather I finished the plan or not. 4. Fix big weights not saved 5. AI generated weights are confusing. 6. No weights recommendations based on my history and fitness level. 7. I should be able to add a custom movement if I want to

A nice addition to the main Peloton app, however consistently glitches which is quite frustrating. While you can enjoy your own playlist via phone streaming, whenever I go to Apple Music to select a new song/playlist (or any other app- ie text message, phone, etc) the Strength+ app restarts what I assume is another workout embedded under my current workout. I can continue, however I get dings to continue “other” workout on my Apple Watch and phone for the rest of my session. This has been an ongoing problem. I hope they can fix it.

Can’t say this does AI strength programming any different than any other app, which is disappointing. Also, no iPad app is a bit poor for a premium service. I will not be renewing. Not to say it is bad, just know it’s not exceptional

App is great for workouts but consistently displays a “disconnected from iPhone” notification, so does not accurately track the workout or calories burned. A lot of the pre done workouts are OK, though some of them have weird glitches on circuits and reps. Became clear why when building my own workout in app and the circuit function (supersets) is completely broken, making many workouts impossible to build

The workouts are fine. They tend to repeat or be so similar that you don’t need the app. The user interface is lacking. It’s not easy to switch or skip sets. The timing issue with workouts doesn’t make sense. I’ll skip the rest periods and still end up over time for the work out length. It seems to me that this app is created by people that don’t workout.

It’s so difficult to track your weights. If you forget to enter the weights during the workout and press “finish” then you can’t edit. You can’t see the log of weights you lifted last time once you start a workout, only if you select the exercise before starting. Worthless as a tracker if I can’t log or review progress.

This app is pretty good to use, and makes some killer workouts. However it constantly deletes my previous data and resets the exercise so I have no idea the previous reps or weight used. The watch app can also be gimmicky and have issues connecting. Fix the memory so I don’t have to use two apps to track my workouts

I really thought this would replace another app. I have relating to fitness training. Perhaps I don’t know how to use it but the space between workouts is super quick and I have no time to enter the the way I was using. I had hoped the app would learn from the weights I was using perhaps letting me know what weight to use next time. Had to stop using the app about halfway through my first workout.

After completing any class after the first in a program the progress is never saved to the program. So the app always thinks the next class is the second regardless of how many have been completed. The user profile does reflect the completed class but not the containing program. This has been happening for months and months.

Loved the app, but after the recent updates it is not showing me the last weight I used in a workout. Also if a workout is tiered weights, if I adjust the first set it overwrites all the other sets instead of keeping the tiered structure. Lots of promise here but need some tuning for the weight tracking.

As others have reported, calories and heart rate does not display on watch since iOS26 update. Peloton live agent support pointed me to apple support and vice versa. Peloton developers need to look in the mirror.

Update…. I only use this app because I have a peloton bike and have to pay the monthly fee. However the strength app is Getting worse. My last workout showed I burned 2500 calories in 70 minutes with an 85 bpm heart rate. It’s not pulling watch data correctly. Cmon dev team, really? …. Original review… I’ve been using this app for several months and they’ve made some improvements, but there are some obvious improvements that could be made, but have not yet been made. First of all the models demonstrating the exercise exercises are in studios that are poorly lit and are not consistent in how the demonstrations are displayed. Second, There are duplicates of exercises in the Exercise mix. Third There’s no way to modify the exercise list while you’re doing a workout which means that if you decide to add an exercise during your workout, you can’t do it. You can’t re-order the exercises during the exercise. You have to do that after you close out the exercise session. The process for naming and renaming and creating exercises is cumbersome and not intuitive. These asks should not be too difficult to put into place because there are other apps that do these exact things. Overall, this app needs some serious user experience review and overhaul and it wouldn’t hurt if they conducted focus groups for people that actually use the app as it does not in my opinion shine in that regard. It’s not that it’s difficult to use. It’s just jenky and cumbersome and things that you want to do with the app, you can’t do unless you’re not working out and vice versa. Previously, they had a way to provide comments within the app, but they have removed that. Multiple times I had provided feedback, but who knows where that goes because there were some obvious things that needed to be fixed that have never been fixed. There are better strength apps out there and the only reason I use this app is because I already have a peloton membership for my bike. I’m hoping that they can improve this application as it shows promise but it needs work.

The way this app crashes my phone like no other app… regardless of how up to date I keep my iOS and the app, it continuously crashes. Often after it crashes and I’m able to access the app again, it’ll have the coach audio playing in the background from prior to crashing.

Doesn’t remember what weight you lifted in your last workout. To few programs to pick from. AI planner gives you exactly the same workout again and again. Can’t customize, add new exercises, or add workout notes. Nearly useless.

The first version actually worked pretty well. On their second update, they introduced a bug that when used in conjunction with an Apple Watch will create two workouts running in parallel. If you try to make changes on your Apple Watch, you briefly see the first workout and then just as you’re about to tap to adjust weights or reps or to move to the next exercise it quickly flashes over to the second workout that it is trying to track. Following that bug there seems to be another one where the app will crash but continue the workout on your watch. When you later open your phone, you will find that you are prompted to start a new workout, and if you leave it for a little bit, it finally sinks up and realizes that there is a workout running on your watch and tries to pick that up. Interestingly, though this results in the first bug occurring once again. It is beyond frustrating that these have not been resolved because you were left in a state where you either have to solely use your phone or hope right out on your watch when you’re adjusting weights and reps. The newest bug that has been introduced is the weights and reps randomly changing. If you have a saved workout and try to revisit that workout, you may find that the weights are -5-10 or +5+10 of what you did the last time. It is beyond infuriating that I have to adjust this stuff. As somebody who has a lot of the workouts programmed around a fixed set of home weights, I don’t have the luxury of increasing my weight by 5 to 10 pounds willy-nilly, so I would prefer to keep them static. Another annoyance is that there seems to not be any updates to the range of exercises listed in the app. I’m constantly trying to find an equivalent whenever I go to the gym. This app has a lot of promise, but it sort of feels like it was released and then minor tweaks were made to the UI in terms of text size and interacting with the weight/reps, and the core functionality/bugs just have never been addressed.

The watch update no longer stays open, tracks HR, or tracks calories burned. Also all my previous weight history is gone and I need to re-enter baseline values for all my exercises. Annoying! I still enjoy the workouts, but miss the functions.

I was really excited to try this app, but it just really is lacking so far. At first, I was having major buffering issues because I had to AirPlay since there is no app available on Apple TV - lame. The workout would progress, but the actual demonstration of each exercise wouldn’t play. Once that got sorted out, I realized an explanation of how the app works would’ve been nice, especially with what it meant to press complete with each movement (essentially skipping through). My biggest gripe though is that I am post-op and was really looking forward to filtering certain exercises. However, there is no filter for “standing only” exercises. Each time I had a generated workout, it would automatically insert supine position exercises which I can’t do at the moment. When I would select to “swap” the exercise, it would suggest something totally random and not at all comparable. For example, I’d choose to swap a stretch exercise and it would provide me with an alphabetical directory of every exercise available, when all I want is to replace a stretch exercise. I’m excited for when this app gets new improvements, but so far I’m really not loving it. Also, some of the segments are awkward. Wayyyy too long and/or weird amounts of repetitions

This app has great potential. I can let it generate a specific type of workout then substitute exercises where desired easily. You can also enter the weights you want for each exercise and save it, but… it doesn’t actually save the weights. I have to remember them myself.

App has lots of potential. Great Peloton ecosystem, but riddled with QoL bugs. Generate workout is a cool feature. The workouts dont usually get a good pump or decent workout without systemic fatigue unless you are tweaking it. Great video library of techniques. Forces login for every use. Every login is presented with a useless FTUE screen. Changed to saved workouts don’t save even when you hit the save button. Shoddy circuit logic. Not customizable rest periods between circuits. Rest timers don’t reliably countdown, most times it just stays on 1:00m. Weights that do get saved, and replayed from previously workout history has rounding errors, probably from float conversion issues. Doesn’t sync with Apple Watch for HR like Bike or Guide. Many other QoL bugs.

My friend sent me a buddy pass which allowed me a 60 day free trial, awesome! I was wanting to get back into lifting anyway :) I followed the instructions on the link and registered for the base plan instead of the plus plan. My mistake! The strength plus app isn’t covered in that plan. I tried to find a way to backtrack and instead register for the trial for the plus plan but it wouldn’t let me. Called support twice and neither time they were able to upgrade my plan or extend my trial :( I guess I’ll just have to pay for it myself but I’m looking into alternatives like ladder. The app is great! but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

I use the peloton strength app and I love the exercises. However, when I’m done I click complete workout then done. If you don’t force quit every time, the app continuously counts your stand and exercise minutes. So, from one session to the next I’ll have 1,400 exercise minutes and 30 hours of stand time. It’s frustrating and annoying. I want to love it but I’m getting tired of this issue and now all my personal records are thrown off.

The Apple Watch to iPhone app connection is horrible. When hitting a check mark on the watch, the iPhone app didn’t keep up so I would swipe the app forward and then the coach would be talking twice at the same time. I swapped some exercise and those also didn’t even show up on the screen. I’d rather not have it connect To the watch if this is the experience.

This is a horrible experience for several reasons: 1. The instructor’s voice conflicts with the automated robotic voice. 2. Why would I do a strength workout with a robotic voice when I can do a live on demand session with an instructor on the original peloton app. anywhere anytime. 3. No option to mirror to a larger TV screen the way I can with the original app. At least the workout did show up as completed in the regular app; that’s one positive but not enough to come back. It’s a total miss in IMO.

I find that it often crashes in the middle of editing a workout before I get the chance to save it causing me to have to start over which is a pain. I also have an Apple Watch that doesn’t get updates past 8 anymore so I can’t track my heart rate with my watch for this app like the other peloton app, which is also annoying as I like to see the estimated calories burned for my workouts. I would also love to be able to add sets. Some exercises I like to do 4 sets instead of the generated 3. If these things were fixed I would love this app so much more!

The app is well polished and has the visuals, video, and coach led classes with motivation that you expect from Peloton but this is way behind other apps functionality. The ai built workouts have you bouncing around all over the gym, instead of a more logical approach. The programs built by the coaches are fine but lack the excitement and spark from their other app. If you can’t do the workout in the exact order they have it built, tough luck. You can’t rearrange the workout. The timer notifications are hit or miss, often it doesn’t notify me even with headphones or my Apple Watch if I don’t have the app open and the phone unlocked. Good potential but this isn’t there yet.

This app lags and ruins my entire workout. The timer function will stop working, the app will freeze, the workouts aren’t great. Not sure how it has so many great reviews. My experience has not been great.

With the new update I can’t listen to music/podcasts while using the app. Every time I exit the app it pauses my workout. When I open the app during my workout I can’t log weights/reps without the app pausing my music. I liked the app, but now it’s unusable, and I might go back to a different app

It needs more options to pick muscle groups in your workout. Push/pull or total upper body isn’t enough. It would also be nice to find ways to split leg day up more. I am not gaining as much using this as when I was coming up with my own workouts.

Nice app but the programs and generated workouts do not ever have or suggest barbell bench press, barbell squats or anything that uses a rack even if you have selected having a rack / full gym. None of the instructor rested workouts have these either. It’s not really a strength training app without these. Will update review if these change.

Seems the generated workouts need some bug fixes. Timers don’t start. Voice cues are sporadic. Clearly a new app with some fixes needed but I can see the vision and will be great once it’s running efficiently.

Maybe because this is my first time using it, but I just don’t understand why there needs to be a separate app. I also don’t like that it uses a computer voice to narrate. Like they have so many instructors, it’s annoying to have a Siri sounding voice interrupt your music to tell you what your next move is.

I submitted feedback to Peloton to create an app like this, so glad to see it finally launched! (I used a similar one for a few years but didn’t want to pay four an additional membership) However, after taking my first workout I realized that IT DOESN’T TRACK CALORIES BURNED!!!! This app should be built into the Peloton Equipment (bike, tread, row) and allow for HR tracking and calories. Until this is incorporated, I will stick to my regular strength workouts.

So I’m not sure why the workout only does half a screen. It’s not intuitive. I spent more time trying to figure out how to work the app instead of working out. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Too easy for advanced 1 minute rest for 8 db chest presses The programming needs work and I think over time it will be a great experience for peloton

Every time get done you have to find a place to set weights to hit the next button. Back to the Bike that keeps moving. This maybe good in a gym when away from Bike built not at home.
