Always end up giving up totally unusable

Unable to log in using Gmail for some time Shows the following error {"message":"No authentication value"}

The app will literally ask you to sign in every single day. It is highly frustrating. Uninstalling right away.

This has been quite disappointing, Fireflies forces you to share your Microsoft or Gmail data by signing in through them and not your own personal email account. It also forces you to share certain information about yourself through Microsoft or Gmail depending on which app you're forced to link to. And now we're noticing we have to do it each time we login, which really sucks:(

Impossible to cancel

It’s ridiculous how they keep charging you after you cancel, even after making the cancellation process already difficult. It should be one click.

Can’t rename recordings easily - stop the auto play feature when you get into a recording - meeting notes and actions are good.

The backend is horrible. It pushes you all the time to the paid version (even not allowing to delete through bulk selecting previous meetings). Now, the paid version kind of does the same so you go to the next tier. Replace with a small Claude Code app in minutes and forget about them. It became a money chaser machine. You should be ashamed.

Automatic recording not working

You can’t copy the transcript. You can’t customise preferences. The robot doesn’t remember you and starts fresh each conversation. Even though you need to open a meeting to access the robot, it still doesn’t know what meeting you are talking about. I am leaving it

Cannot use it at all :(

The in-app chatbot based on meeting transcripts is not functioning. When I ask questions about a specific meeting (e.g., Meeting A), it either says it has no information or pulls content from other meetings (like C or D). It should only reference the selected meeting. Previously, it provided detailed answers, but over the past 1–2 weeks, it either gives unrelated responses or nothing at all with the chatbot. Please check whether there has been a system change. This feature is currently unreliable.

1/100 review here. Their integration with other apps and natively to your iPhone is abysmal.

Unfortunately the app is full of dark patterns to keep the users engaged and paying. I cannot trust an app like that.

I cannot open this app with my macbook. While it works well in ipone and ipad, but not in macbook. For a long time(since october 2025)..plz revise this error!

Don’t trust this company Sam Udotong, Co-CEO of Fireflies posted this on LinkedIn today 11/11/25 We charged $100/month for an AI that was really just two guys surviving on pizza. We scaled Fireflies to a $1B valuation after 6 failures from our original crypto food delivery idea. Nothing motivates you more than the pressure of living month to month with no safety net. Before I explain how 2 broke guys validated a $1B idea, you need to understand we were couch surfing while desperately chasing our entrepreneurial dreams. An AI notetaker was our last hope after 6 ideas our friends claimed were “genius”. The best way to validate your business idea is by becoming the product yourself. We told our customers there's an "AI that'll join a meeting.” In reality it was just me and my co-founder calling in to the meeting sitting there silently and taking notes by hand. When customers scheduled a meeting, we'd manually dial in as "Fred from Fireflies.ai" We'd sit there silently, take detailed notes, and send them 10 minutes later. After taking notes for 100+ meetings (and falling asleep in many), we were finally able to make enough money to pay the $750/month rent for a tiny SF living room. That was the point when we said let's stop and automate everything. The best prototype was 2 guys surviving on pizza. Validation before automation saved us from our 7th failure. At first I was enjoying the use of the app, until recently no summaries are being generated for 2 of my meetings, it simply states ‘summary is not available’.

Waste of my time, cancelling subscription

Can’t login with Microsoft SSO - authentication in a login browser popup succeeds, but then you see a web site, and the app never authenticates. Unusable for me.

You’d be incredibly reliable if the app didn’t pause in the middle of a meeting that was being transcribed, defeating the entire purpose of the APP. There’s no place to address any permission issues anywhere

I have been using the free version for some time . I wasn’t aware that when the credits ran out you would restrict my ability to view all previous meetings and basically lock my account.

I installed it from AppStore but it instantly crashes.

Forced to turn on my laptop just so I can talk with real person, even though the web keep asking me to go to the app for support. Wtf money well spent I guess

A lot to Thai word and Transliteration problem between Thai-English. And many time Auto Pause recording as still meeting not finish yet.

Beware of starting a trial as almost impossible to cancel subscription. no customer service as they have no people to help only bots. A big thumbs down.

The app worked great during the free trial. Once my credit card went through, it suddenly couldn’t log into my meetings. The self help section was useless and there are no live human customer service rep to help. Basically a scam

I’m unable to share on the iOS app, no updates have fixed it and I e-mailed days ago and they have not bothered to reply. Not great when I’m paying as a business customer.

I have been appreciating how Fireflies helps speed up my workflow. I have not been appreciating Fireflies failing to actually record my meetings. I use an iPad to record my meetings in the Fireflies app. When done, it tells me that the recording is saved and being processed. When I go to get the summary, nothing happens. The app says it’s still processing the meeting. After waiting for DAYS, their support just tells me that nothing was recorded. Even after I have seen the audio recording indicator and the audio levels changing as we speak. No reason given Lost Meeting Lost Revenue Lost Respect Lost Trust

It was working too well, but suddenly, after an update, the meetings are getting recorded, but the summaries won't work or derive any insights out of the meeting; they're left with an audio transcript only.

Like some other ai note taking apps this app starts taking notes even if you deleted it. Once it logs into your work account it will email everyone in the meeting to notify them of your note taking and send you a recap. Like I said. Even after I deleted it from my phone. If you want control over what meetings are recorded and transcribed then this app is not for you.

I get an error message when I try to open this. So far, unusable for me.

They advertise the individual plan as "free forever," but after just five recordings, you're forced to subscribe to a paid plan. It feels very misleading and almost like a bait-and-switch tactic. There are definitely better apps out there that are more transparent and offer more value if you're going to pay for a subscription.

Using Otter, wanted to compare, immediately uninstalled. The developers should understand that all Google and Office 365 domains at even medium companies under 500 employees are managed by admins and locked down against 3rd party apps. Otter gets around this by reading local calendar- pretty simple workaround for any IOS dev. They are missing a huge swathe of addressable market, judging by negative reviews I’m not the only one.

I was forced to update the app (the older version stopped working) and now there are no summaries available after I recorded a whole meeting. There is also no option to copy the meeting audio description. What happened?

Not Google or Microsoft I'm going to delete your app since you are using an architecture that doesn't allow for email and password creation

Summary and transcript just don't get generated

Will quite often look like it’s recording but when you hit the end button, it doesn’t save anything. This happens pretty often especially it seems with important visits unfortunately. Quite disappointing.

Disappointed to say the least. I had 4 new people join and it failed to summarize two meetings and because of that I didn’t get to send notes

Earlier good now bad. Lots of bugs. Keeps hanging now and then. Headache to use. Asks for updates every week. No more useful. Uninstalling now.

Summary and transcript are not available most of the time

The AI itself is an interesting and potentially useful tool, but the whole concept is completely ruined because it forces you to login with a federated Microsoft or Google ID, and then invites itself to join every meeting on your Microsoft or Google calendar. This has the side effect of jumbling all your personal meetings and work meetings into one account where everything is saved and accessible by your coworkers. (Maybe I don’t want my coworkers to access a recording of me chatting g with my kids, you know?) Once you discover this problem and try to migrate the account to a separate ID, it requires a manual human assisted migration process which raises a whole additional host of problems and errors. Now I have one random jumble of personal and business recordings on one account and another whole random jumble of other personal and business meetings on another account. I stupidly paid for a full year of the tool in advance because I was dazzled by the AI features the first few times I tried it. Don’t make that mistake, sample this clunky service for a few months at the monthly rate first before you commit. Better yet, look elsewhere for your meeting AI tool. (Microsoft teams is slowly adding copilot features that do everything this tool does anyway.)

I just didn’t find it that helpful and ended up getting charged for an entire year with monthly charges for an extra feature I didn’t sign up for. I had to get into a full on debate with Support to cancel. didn’t leave a great taste in my mouth.

This cannot be used at all without granting access to your calendar which is a major privacy concern. I decided to try it and granted it access to my junk email account’s calendar. The performance was middling at best and it failed to process my very short (15 minutes) conversation. I will say that eventually the job did go through and I viewed it via a link to my email. It’s certainly not worth granting access to my main calendar when there are other apps that are more capable and less insistent on being creepy. The only way I would use this again is if I could do so without granting calendar access.

I use the web version and I realized it’s sending my meetings to everyone who works at the company, also to clients who participated in only a part of the meeting. There is no clear messaging on what is sent to whom, so I don’t feel safe using this app.

Want to love this app but it consistently stops recording or crashes in the middle of meetings and then I lose all transcription data. Not good when you are depending on it to record for work and it fails you.

This app has cool features like a zapier integration. However, the app crashes when recording live meetings. I wanted to like this app, but the crashing is a massive NO. If you trust the app to fully transcribe your call and you don’t take notes, you’ll learn the hard way just as I did when the app crashes and you’re left trying to recall from memory actions items and other critical items discussed.

I simply tried to cancel make it really hard and hide everything. Don’t ever start. I do not want a company like this to have any of my info.

Doesn’t allow logging in to Google from iPhone!!!

I love it. It has helped me save a ton of my time scribing and loosing notes in the past to having the notes that i can use for myself and forward to others. The only annoying thing is, it keeps kicking me out and i need to religion everytime i open the app.

The app itself is fantastic. I has great learning, it’s incredibly easy to use. The notes are pretty accurate, even with a preponderance of scientific and medical jargon. Honestly, my ONLY complaint with the app itself is that you are unable to edit conversations and notes. For that, you need to be on the online version on your computer. Add that feature to the iPad and phone, and it’s 5 stars all the way!

Before the Mac app, Fireflies used to be for me, a really solid note taker app for meetings. Useful, nice to have, but not something I considered mission critical. The new Mac app changed that completely. The fact that it automatically captures everything, including WhatsApp calls and other conversations happening outside the usual meeting tools, makes it genuinely essential in my workflow. So many important details used to disappear because they happened in the “wrong” place. Now everything is captured, searchable, and easy to revisit. I rely on it daily now. Huge upgrade. Thanks!

Hands down the best purchase I’ve ever made. My memory isn’t perfect so this has been so useful for my personal and professional life. And I LOVE that you get your recordings immediately, compared to Gong which takes 2-4 business months 😂. JK but if does take at least an hour, sometimes 4, which kills any follow up meetings. The integrations are rock solid and helps with my tech stack in my business.

Very annoying when you rely on the app to record meetings you are unable to attend but the app doesn’t perform

I love the accuracy of Fireflies AI summaries and the way it sets out action points for follow up.

It would be wonderful if I could record my conversations directly in my Apple Watch in a native firefly app.

Good feature set overall, but the Google login keeps resetting the authorization every day, which causes a lot of problems. Is it really that difficult to fix this issue?

An awesome note taker. Compared to others I have especially to transcribe church messages, this app stands out because there is no limit and the summaries are always sent to your email for notification amongst others. It’s a fine app.

Werkt super, wel kleine verbetering. Mijn vorige kon een gespreksopname starten vanaf het vergrendel scherm op de iPhone (widget, toevoegen). Dit mis ik wel. Dus als ze widgets kunnen toevoegen is dit de beste app die ik ken.

Had a meeting where a few managers attempted to rewrite reality blaming me for a fictional narrative that didn’t exist. Thankfully, Fireflies AI was there to provide a transcript and voice recording with consent of the meeting. My attorney was able to initiate the Beatdown exposing the managers for the Frauds they are thanks to Fireflies. Do not go into ANY meeting without this tool. God Bless 🙏🏽

Great product. Use this all the time for lots of different projects.

Works fiine in English but then there comes a meeting in Dutch and suddenly the notetaker starts trying to make notes by transcribing Dutch words as if they were English. Complete gibberish in the full notes. Impossible to read. Although the summary looks ok albeit also in English instead of Dutch.

I actually love Fireflies and use it often. If I’m being honest, I would normally give this app a five. The reason I’m giving it to three is because every time I open the app I have to update it. Making it the single most high maintenance app that I have on my phone. Oddly, I don’t see that many changes in the Fireflies platform to suggest the need for so many updates.

It’s so smooth and efficient, you can trust it to generate summaries quickly without problems

Ich nutze Fireflies jetzt schon seit knapp eineinhalb Jahren und bin nach wie vor begeistert von dem Tool. Die Automatisierung für die Protokolle sind sehr präzise, die Funktion mit den Aufgaben ist Mega cool und auch die App Nutzung für die eigenen Protokolle ein totaler GameChanger.

I was looking for an app that would help me to take notes during meeting sessions. Searched all over could not find it and didn’t realize I already had it. This app is wonderful does exactly what I need to do. So glad I found it.
