Pro: it comes in other languages, it has a cute icon. Con: it has 9 categories and I can only see myself using 2 or 3 on a daily basis. It’s not a time management level app. Even though I can afford to lose 4.00 it was not worth the money I paid and there’s no “try before you buy” feature.

As someone with ADHD I was recommended to use goblin tools and the functions it has are amazing. HOWEVER it seems that I can’t get through one use of the app without it crashing!! Which is not helpful when i’m trying to use the app to organise assignment tasks that have a deadline. I found less crashing occurred on the website but there were still some glitches where it froze on the task manager. Please please please can someone fix these app bugs, considering I spent money on this app I don’t think it should be constantly crashing. Overall amazing concept great tools available within the app WHEN they decide to work.

I love this app!! I use it largely for the to do lists. I only wish i could teach it to learn some of the preferences related to order and automatic subtasks i have around doing certain tasks, without having to prompt it. For example, i use it to break down some of my morning routine, but it would be great if I could teach it to put eating first and always take my medication. I also find the more you break the tasks down the longer the time estimates are, which i dont always find helpful!

Ansonsten alles top!

The browser is my preference over the app, but I do also have the app on every mobile device I use because I really want to support this fab team. I use Goblin with my students and clients, and it works really well for so many different needs and ages. I do hope that there will be an option to provide writing prompts/instructions to generate text some day, but as a thoroughly neurospicy person, goblin is absolutely invaluable. Can’t wait for teacher tools to fully launch! Lastly, I do really wish there was a way of having personalised settings saved in your account - I am British, and it’s extra steps to manually change the American spellings and language differences, and I don’t always manage to catch them all 😬

This app is a live saver for any fellow out there who’s neurodivergent. I did not leave 5 stars since in my opinion it needs a few improvements such as: - a widget, to be able to access the to do list more easily and quickly; -a dark mode would be useful and easier on the eyes; - more accessibility, particularly more language options (such as Italian, French, Spanish, German etc); I will probably update this review in a few months. Thanks for reading. I apologize in advance for any mistake in my grammar or things like that, English is not my native language.😅 Greetings from Italy! 🇮🇹❤️

Hey guys! So I just discovered this awesome new app and I can't stop raving about it. I've only had a chance to play around with the formalizer and judge features, but let me tell you, they're absolutely priceless! This app has the potential to be a total game changer and I truly believe it will improve my life in so many ways. I'm already blown away and can't wait to dive into the other features. The only minor downside I've experienced is that the app can sometimes crash, but it's such an amazing app that I can't deduct any stars for that. I'm hoping the developer will release an update to fix that issue soon, but in the meantime, it's not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I'm loving this app and can't wait to see what else it has to offer!— ps I used the formalizer to make this rating “more sociable” Edit: The app is now crashing for me every time I open it and I feel like I am in the first stage of the grieving process because I’m hoping that this is just a one off thing and this is not gonna be a permanent thing because this app is a necessity for me, I don’t use it every day but when I do use it, it is invaluable and worth every cent I spent on it. I need this app to at least only crash every now and then. please developer gods and grant me a miracle update to fix this issue. This app is such a blessing please don’t let it become obsolete into by being inoperable.

The magic to-do list breaks your tasks into sub-tasks, yeah, and it does that wonderfully, but guess what? it also adds a button to do that to each sub-task, and then to each sub-sub-task, and that goes on and on. You can click the pepper emoji button to make sure it'll break tasks down into a higher or lower number of subtasks, and ask for an estimate of time for each task or sub-task (as far as I've seen, it's been pretty accurate). And that's only the to-do list part of the app! The Professor is really great at explaining things, the Consultant can help even with specific things like little-known companies and services, it has internet access so you don't have to limit yourself to what you think it'd know about. The Judge seemed pretty good when I tested it but I don't have trouble with that so I never use it and don't have an opinion on it. I haven't tried using the Chef or Compiler yet, but they sound pretty cool! If there's one thing I wish would change, it'd be to have the app's theme change according to the system theme. I actually spent days using the app without realizing there was a dark mode button, it was funny.

There I was… in the middle of another “how am I going to remember everything I need to do” rant (going on like 3 days now) thinking to myself: there HAS to be technology to support me. I cannot be alone in feeling like I have so many things to do but completely unable to do them because I don’t know how to start them. This breaks down the simplest tasks and the most complex tasks. I was in that pit of despair, so my first task was “organize my life” then I clicked the magic lil sub task generator and it created a step by step plan for how to “organize my life” complete with “routine check ins” Then I was like “ok task one, figure out what needs my attention. Ok,” then I find the compile tool, and word vomit everything that is screaming at me in my head. Automatically making me feel better. Then I told it to make me a to do list based on my word vomit, and IT DID. then it transported that word vomit to do list to the “magic to do list” and once again, I was able to generate sub tasks for my 16 things on my list. My favorite part is that it doesn’t give me a “to do” by time, but it does give me a time estimate for how long it should take… my only MICRO complaint is I wish there was a widget for the to do list for quick add benefits. But that does not take away from its splendor, nor does it deplete from its wonderful usability. Just buy the app.

I’m a lazy mom seasoned with a Nero spice of ADHD and sprinkled with a dash of Tism. The way I have to remind myself to approach all things in life the best way your brain can process. Don’t be ashamed and just do your best. Finding this tool was mind blowing. Now instead of taking the time to gather my thoughts on paper, I can just start a chore….like normal people do? 🤯🤯 I’m not sure if the creators are ever going to add to the features of this program, but if they were open to ideas…… what about a wardrobe options? Like a Stylist? I got the idea from the Chef feature. It could help pick out an outfit for work or for an event or date? Just snap a pic of each available option and let the prompt be “work Christmas party” or “Work presentation on the changes implemented for eco health” etc. And it could help pair the options together to match the theme and attire. Maybe even suggest what general accessories would be best (like silver, gold, brass, etc.) I could sit and ramble on this review forever. Lol. Great app. So thankful for the help here. 💜💜💜

Breaking down the tasks is a game changer … I’m a task serial killer … start something, squirrel… move on to something else. Trails of evidence of tasks I have killed off are all over my house, but breaking down into smaller tasks has meant that the larger task is getting completed and my house no longer looks like the cleaning aisle is staging a battle with the household appliances section, with me acting as peacekeeper in between. My only wish is that it had Iwatch integration, I’m not always with my phone or laptop, but my watch is always on. I would also like some kind of reminder function that would prompt me to the next section. This would make it 5 stars amazing!

I suffer with decision paralysis. Within 5 mins of having this amazing app I am up and cleaning a day ahead of my cleaner arrival AND I know what I’m having for lunch. If you haven’t tried the chef function, do it. I rate it at 10 out of 5. Be descriptive. I would normally be running around in the hour before my cleaner gets here trying to hide my mess for her to clean my surfaces, but now I’m prepared with a list to help me. Maybe, with this app, I will become organised enough that I won’t need a cleaner.

Because it helps people who struggle with perhaps anxiety or difficulty breaking down larger conceptual goals into manageable, bite-sized, one foot in front of the other tasks and to-do’s. In todays super fast moving world, it has become increasingly difficult to manage such overwhelming projects such as adulthood; and so, goblin tools reminds you that fairytales are not real and the true heroes are the goblins, breaking down the larger zeitgeist of adulthood into childlike manageable nuggets of gold.

I'm really enjoying this! Being dyslexic, I often struggle with words and find myself rewriting everything over and over again. It can be frustrating because I sometimes have to simplify my thoughts or ideas due to difficulty with spelling or organizing them. However, Goblin tools has been a tremendous help! It allows me to express my ideas and thoughts more effectively, producing far better results than I could achieve on my own. It would be even nicer if it offered UK English instead of American English. =-= My original text in Goblin tools =-= I’m loving this. As a dyslexic I have trouble with words and inevitably end up rewriting everything many times. In this process I end up dumbing down what I want to say because I can’t spell some words or structure my thoughts. Goblin tools helps with me dump my ideas and thoughts and produces way better results than I could. It would be nice if it was UK English vs American.

I have ADHD and came across the web application for Goblin Tools on forums. The mobile app is magic! It’s built beautifully and gives me all the tools I need in my pocket ☺️ The fact it isn’t subscription based is also incredibly helpful - I know it’s mine and can use it whenever I need, without having to worry about whether it’s “worth it” each month or if I’m going to forget to cancel! The “unwaffle” feature in the formalizer tool is my favourite - brevity isn’t a strong suit of mine (as you can see from above) and in my job, I have written far too many lengthy emails that don’t clearly articulate my point, or overwhelm people. I’ve used the formaliser to speak to my boss about important matters, share messages with clients and it’s absolute magic! I think the best way to demonstrate the value is to show you, so here’s this same review “Formalized” to 4 chillis: “I love the Goblin Tools mobile app for people with ADHD. It's beautifully built and has all the tools I need in one place. Plus, it's not subscription-based, so I don't have to worry about the cost or cancellation. The "unwaffle" feature in the formalizer tool is amazing. It helps me cut down on lengthy emails and effectively communicate with my boss and clients. It's absolute magic!” Thank you for building such a wonderful application - I’ve already gifted it to a friend and would recommend to anyone who needs a little help navigating a neurodiverse existence in a world built for neurotypical brains!

To be honest. This app iconic and I do not use it nearly as much as I should because it’s so unbelievably helpful. Especially as a broke college kid. The chef feature is so nice. However I have noticed that it will use every ingredient on your list if you give it the opportunity to… it’s a bit frustrating I can say I want to make creamy mashed potatoes and it will give me a basic recipe for mashed potatoes. Which is fine. It’s great actually. If that’s what I was actually looking for. I was looking to know what I could add to make those potatoes creamier (I’m just gonna experiment I think). It led me to wonder why there isn’t a general questions section.. the entire app is based on AI so theoretically having an “ask a question” area isn’t out of line for what the app is capable of. Neurodivergent people tend to not only need specific directions (of which the app is very good at), but we also tend to have very specific questions on how to exist that we just can’t find the answers for. I think having an AI section dedicated for questions on how to be an adult is a good idea personally. Not everything is a task that needs to be broken down. It’s simply a question we need an answer to ya know? Don’t get me wrong tho. I’m not bashing the app whatsoever. It’s literally the best app I’ve ever bought and forgot about and wish I hadn’t forgotten about😭

I really struggle to put things into writing, especially certain work emails, and I can end up spending hours writing something that should take 10 mins max. The formaliser is so helpful, when I realise I can’t find the right words I just put in any old rubbish and it makes it sound so much better. Sometimes I use a mixture of the different tones. Haven’t used the other features so much, although I just gave “judge” a go for a message to a friend and it was super helpful and reassuring!! I use this on the web app and also now iPhone. I have ADHD and it seems to help a lot of us!

I have used Goblin Tools online for maybe a year now and I am beyond excited to see the app available! I used to struggle with sequencing tasks and procrastination, but now I just type in what I need to do into Magic To-Do and Goblin tools breaks the task down into achievable and sensible steps. I then carry out the tasks quickly with focus. And this is only one part of the app. There is also options to enhance communication and understanding, time management, meal inspiration (just type in what food you have on hand and it will give you a meal suggestion), it can organise tasks from your brain dump, it can suggest how to reword a message in a myriad of ways (‘less snarky’ is a good one for diplomacy). I honestly would have paid a lot more to own this app. It is my life saver. Thank you Goblin Tools Team! You have made me feel like I am completely winning at being a grown up.

Auch toll, dass die einzelnen Funktionen untereinander verzahnt sind (v.a. die Zeiteinschätzung!). Es wäre toll, wenn man die Liste in andere Apps importieren könnte, z.B. Hi, I have a traumatic brain injury and ADHD. Not the best combination. I really struggle with time management and planning. Negative thoughts are my worst enemy and trying to communicate about them is tough. This app helps me with all of it. You can dump you idea’s and thoughts. You can use the judge if you don’t understand what someone is saying. Or you can use it how to give words to what you are feeling and how to communicate better about what you mean. The compiler function is so nice. You just write everything down without making a list yourself. The magic to do list will help you with creating subtasks and how long the task will take. It is so nice that you can controle how much help you need from the bot. Are you having a bad day and need more steps to complete a task? No problem. I love this app and would recommend it to anyone. Much love, Cat

Considering the fact that I have adhd, low-spectrum autism, clinical anxiety and depression among many others, makes staying on task, being consistent and starting things that I don't want to difficult. So finding a routine and something that breaks things down for me, is lifesaving. The $2 I spent were worth it. You can choose how much of a task is broken down, estimate a time of how long it may take do the task and takes the pressure of trying to plan out assignments or exams or any tasks really, off. Within this app, you can also find different sorts of systems to better manage writing, child-brain moments, etc. They have a judge thing where you can write something and it will tell you how it's comes across. This app has made my Nerodivergent brain feel much less complicated than ever. I highly recommend spending the $2 if you experience anything related to preparation, organisation, commitment, etc. Issues.

This app, is quite literally everything I’ve ever needed. I struggle knowing how my emotions come across, or understanding what other peoples emotions means. This app quite literally fixed that entirely. Having the ability to put in what you need to get done, especially if you’re anxious about it, and it break it up into so many little steps is amazing. Because each little step is only little, and that’s perfect. Knowing you can complete each little step and end up at your goal is an unreal feeling. To go the extra mile, struggle with cooking or knowing what to cook? It can tell you that too just put in the ingredients you have. It’s got a judge setting that can be the judge of how something comes across. This app is honestly the most amazing thing I’ve ever come across as someone with high anxiety and struggles to understand emotions. This app is worth £100 not 99p

This application is amazing. I was using the free web version and it has been such a great help for me to get things organised and breakdown tasks into manageable steps. The time estimator has been an absolute game changer for me. I had to purchase this app, to support the developer. I would love to add to this app at some stage the ability to sync these lists with other applications such as Apple Reminders. Great work and I hope to see more from you soon.

The app developers clearly know their demographic because the specificity of the ‘breaking down’ feature demonstrates they understand the difficulties around writing lists. For someone with ADHD and OCD it makes writing lists a breeze. I can simply use the highest spiciness level and remove tasks that don’t apply to my situation. The estimation time on task completion is a little off, with some tasks like dishes and laundry being 5h + estimation though. The judge and formaliser options are also legitimately helpful. They give insightful answers that break down language use and how it can be interpreted which is so useful for someone who struggles to interpret social cues and tone from messages. The level of understanding that this app/website provides makes it feels like you’ve asked a human to help you, rather than a robot. I 100% recommend giving it a try. The website is perfectly fine to use on a regular basis, but I chose to support the work the developers have put in and buy the app. It runs a little smoother on the app anyways 🙂.

With my ADHD I can’t always focus on task let alone plan them. Therefore this app has made my life so much easier, it helps with school and with my personal life. It has a ToDo AI, a “Judge” that helps you interpret someones message, even a “Chef” that lets you put in the ingredients you have at home and it gives you things you can cook/bake and gives you the entire ingredient list + recipe. This app has so much more to offer and I’m thrilled to see what this app had in store in the future!

I bought the Goblin Tools app the second I first heard about it on TicTok! This is seriously the greatest thing ever! It’s so helpful and it really takes the anxiety out of big, daunting tasks that I’ve been procrastinating over for months. I love the tag line, “breaking things down so you don’t”, very clever indeed. The chef aspect is wonderful! When I downloaded this, my mum and I spent hours sitting in the lounge room converting simple sentences into “more sarcastic”, and “more passionate” versions of themselves. It was a hoot! But seriously, I will absolutely using that aspect on assignments and emails etc! This app is everything!!

The tools work so well, I'm surprised! I love how the compiler tool was able to send the to-do list it made, to the magic to-do list tool!

I cannot stress enough how amazing this app is. I found it through TikTok and I swear, this thing is magical. I deep cleaned my bathroom, and didn‘t feel overwhelmed at all like I usually would. It‘s absolutely perfect when you want to do something, but your mind is all over the place and you don‘t know where to start. I also just found the chef function and I am obsessed. I often come home from work to a full fridge but no plan what to cook. So this is a gamechanger for real. I overall feel like this app is going to help me a lot with daily tasks. 12/10 would recommend 😙👌🏻

The app goblin tools is freaking amazing for communicating, figuring out problems, estimating sub tasks and times…seriously learn the features for free online and then if you find it helpful (you will) buy it as an app for $5. Not a $5 subscription but $5 forever. Plus it’s developing live via the super ethical and genus web designer (who’s also working on a social media platform). The app is extra helpful for writers and neuro diverse people, but also people wanting to get better at eating healthy and cooking, more affordably! Really I think there’s something in there for everyone. Another great feature-summarizing messages and explaining the tone and intention. If you’re confused about what a text means…this will answer your questions! It can also make your text more casual, professional, more conscience, etc. I cannot promote this enough. There is ethical AI and technology! Don’t be scared of it, or intimidated, learn it and make your life easier!! 💜
