Done. The data theft is out of control. Now it is overtly demanded. At one time companies were happy to get paying customers to come to build their platforms. They did their dystopian dirty work in the shadows and lied about it (and still do), but developers were part of the club. There is no pretense about that anymore. Give us the subscription and you're still the product. That anyone stomachs this BS without a thought tells me few developers have any sense of the realities of this increasingly horrid, we-are-the-problem industry, and have simply sold their dignity and decency - for what, really, are we going along with mass surveillance/tracking? Just think about it.

Do not download and pay for the apple dev program. I did, over a week ago. They taken the money but given me no access. The only people you can get thigh to won’t support the dev program. You’ll loose money, then have your support emails left on read, and left on hood on the phone. 2 hours on hold, 4 support email over the course of a week and nothing, not even so much as a sorry. Apple are a mess right now. Don’t invite the stress into your life.

Dann braucht man drei verschiedene Apps, nämlich neben dieser hier noch die connect und die TestFlight App, wenn man Software für das iPhone programmieren möchte. Warum nicht alles in einer App? Nach 48 Stunden, wo ich auf die erste Identitätsprüfung warten musste, habe ich angerufen, was zur Freischaltung führte. Nachdem ich gefühlt über 100 Fragen beantwortet habe, muss man jetzt noch mal meine Adresse überprüfen, für den Händler Status. Darauf warte ich jetzt seit über einer Woche…

Absolutely terrible! Pages stretching no snapping together not a simple split screen. Absolutely shocking iPad iOS update. Never ever thought about it but I think I’d rather just go back to windows.

I have been waiting 4 weeks, to try and pay for the app enrollment. (Tried 20+ times) the customer service is archaic and unusually slow for Apple, they’re unable to process the payment, a simple Debit transfer. It makes the whole customer service look absolutely amateur and incapable. Ironic that this is Apple! Steve Jobs is turning in his grave, fuming. The issue has been escalated to most senior department and no ETA on how quickly they’ll respond as they’re probably playing golf somewhere.

This app on my phone demands to be updated, links through to the App Store page, where there is no update but only an Open button which makes the app demand its update.

I had to install this nearly useless app just to renew the annual fee for my Apple developer account. It’s incredibly frustrating that there’s no way to find the renewal option on the website, or worse, it might have been completely removed. This is an extremely poor decision and absolutely infuriating.

新しくdeveloper programに登録しようとすると、アカウントに問題があり続けられません、というようなメッセージが出てそれ以上進められない。一緒に開発をしている別の人も同様のエラーになっている。

Now I know I’m a kid but I am 13 so I’m a teenager so I don’t know if that has anything to do with my problems. So I was thinking about making a game and I wanted to give it a shot, I started to look up what apps were good to use for iPad iOS and I came across this thinking, it’s free and looks cool I’ll give it a go, so here I am getting this app and I’m all excited to learn how to make a simple game. I read the reviews and looked at everything but I go through the app login and everything then when I get in I find out I can’t make games it was all just documents, articles, and videos on how but nothing on doing it. Overall it is plain boring and I don’t recommend.🫤

I have to reboot 10 times and get lucky to have the macOS Sonoma 14.5 to recognize my external keyboard and mouse. So I can write this review to express my anger!

I'm rating the Apple Developer app with 1 star due to significant access issues and a deeply disappointing treatment towards users. My experience with this app and the enrollment process in the Apple Developer Program has been incredibly difficult and frustrating. After providing all the required personal documents and information in anticipation of my developer account verification, I encountered a complete mess in the communication process with the support team. Instead of assisting me in resolving the issues that arose, Apple's support essentially "disposed" of me, leaving me without any clear explanation or resolution path. Attempts to use the Developer app for further enrollment revealed that I was blocked from even starting the registration process, rendering the app useless to me in its current state. This treatment and the total lack of support have been profoundly disappointing, especially given that I approached the process with great enthusiasm and a desire to contribute to the Apple ecosystem as a developer. Such treatment seems absolutely unacceptable for a company of Apple's stature, which claims to support its developer community. I strongly advise potential users to think twice before engaging in this process with Apple, considering my unpleasant experiences and the apparent lack of interest from the company in addressing user issues. Disappointed is an understatement, and I hope my review will draw attention to the need for significant improvements both in the Developer app and in Apple's approach to servicing and supporting its developers.

Just downloaded the app, and the landing screen asks me to update the app in app store, infinite loop.

I’ve never used this before and the ONLY reason I downloaded this app is I was told on everyone of apple’s websites that this was the only way to get the beta version to the up coming iOS 16!! We shall see. If it does what I was told it’ll do and I’m actually able to get the beta iOS 16 I will change my Rqating to a 5-Star. However if I’m unable to get IOS 16 beta version I’ll be changing my Rating to 1-Star. Nothing bugs me more than anything is when I spend all afternoon trying to find just one simple answer. Apple had me going all over the place until they finally got me to a website that said Yes! You can get the new upcoming iOS 16 beta version by downloading Apple Developers app. Well here I am…We Shall See.

Der onboarding Prozess für einen Apple Entwickler Account ist eine reine Farce. Mal lässt sich der Account mit iTunes Guthaben bezahlen, mal kommt es zu abstürzen oder der Prozess hängt sich auf. Bei Klick auf Enroll Now passiert erstmal nichts weiter, erst wenn die App gekillt und der Vorgang wiederholt wird, kommt man weiter. Ebenso gibt es starke Unterschiede zur Weboberfläche. Dort lässt sich in Deutschland nur per Kreditkarte zahlen. Nach der Bestellbestätigung ist es schon häufiger vorgekommen, dass eine Email mit Rückfragen geschickt wird, auf die man telefonisch antworten soll, selbstverständlich wird keine Telefonnummer mit angegeben und eine reply Mail ist nicht möglich. Insgesamt ist AppStore Connect und der Apple Entwickler Account für mich mit Abstand das schwächste Apple Produkt.

The app crashes when you either change content too fast (browsing topics or videos) or if you favorite or start a download too fast after the last action. It crashes basically dozens of times a minute when browsing. It’s ironic that it’s their Developer app that seems to have the most runtime issues. I’m guessing it’s built in Objective-C.

Sehr schade das alles nur in englischer Sprache gehalten ist, für mich leider unbrauchbar da mir mit meinen Englischen Wortschatz und keiner Erfahrung von dem Programmieren die Tür verschlossen bleibt, sicher hätte ich auch ein paar Ideen gehabt für Apps die ich leider so nicht wirklich umsetzen kann 🤷‍♂️

Update.... I’ll be damned. Two months later and still crash not fixed. Because that is all it does on iPhone XS Max iOS 12.4. Can’t upgrade phone because Apple famously employed its new feature - eliminate compatibility with older Mac OS devices. On the plus side I bought a refurbished 2019 which is my $3500 bookend because I can’t even migrate data from older Mac to the new bookend iMac because migration assistant, or rather Apple, has decided they need to reset all administrative passwords and promote ALL limited users to ADMINISTRATORS rather than my password server!!!! CONGRATULATIONS APPLE for enticing me to buy into a lockdown worse than CA and NY combined since September 2020. Now it is December 2020 and don’t expect Apple to end lockdown any time soon.

How can an app that teaches programming keep crashing?

Would give 0 stars if possible. There is no way on iPad to control playback speed. There are so many videos to watch developers need to be able to easily increase playback speed if desired. Tried downloading video hoping this would allow access to speed control. Still no controls for speed and worse yet there is a bug where you are not able to delete the downloaded video so it will take up large amount of space on device forever. These are basic things and it is unbelievable Apple developers created this app and that these basic things don’t work. Very disappointed. Please at least provide a way to delete a downloaded video. Running iOS 12.3.1 on iPad Pro. Desktop version seems to have speed control but didn’t really want to watch the videos on Mac. Prefer to watch on iPad.

Why doesn’t this app support touch/Face ID to log in?

For the most part the app does what it needs to do, but is really needs to playback speed control. Anything that has educational videos needs to allow at least 1.5x and 2x playback speeds. Without they generally become unusable for people that are use to it, it is to slow to keep focus. WWDC videos often slower than most because they can feature a marketing prevention pacing, and given the nature of content need to repeat information that may already be known by a large part of the audience (or at least familiar enough to make absorbing very quick). As it stands without I find the app unusable, and instead download and playback on a dedicated video app; with the odd livestream exception.

This latest update is supposed to be support for iPhone X, well, the UI is failed in many places. For example, in videos, search for a keyword, pressing any video after that kills the search bar, as well as navigation bar, stuck on the video unless terminating the app.

Having a name change to macOS is great, but it is not compatible to filtering OS X videos for 2015 or earlier.

I cannot view any WWDC video. It just crashes when you try to open.

Doesn’t even support password management on iOS 😂 also this is not true “Open the Apple Developer app. In the Account tab, sign in to your Apple Developer account. Tap/click Renew and follow the prompts. ” it’s a poor app it’s not really looked after it actually doesn’t need to exist because the website still is required for anything of note

Apple不推荐手机号注册的id申请开发者账号，必须使用邮箱，已用手机号注册的ID可以在手机上添加邮箱，设置->Apple账号->登入与安全性->添加电子邮件和手机号码，添加上邮箱号（最好别用QQ邮箱），再以邮箱名字登入，密码还是原密码

When I download this a app I think this was a developer app where you can create amazing things but now I know that’s only videos, news, and others things, is only information. This is not an app for create things like, games, utilities, etc. is just a big document of information. I don’t recommend this app if are searching an app where you can create, 🫤 post; maybe change the name to “apple develop information” the original is confusing.

Könntet ihr bitte bei euren Videos eine deutsche schriftliche Übersetzung anzeigen? Einfach in allen Videos einen Untertitel mit deutscher Sprache einbauen 🙏🏽 Ansonsten wirklich super App 👍🏽 wegen der fehlenden Übersetzung gibt es ein Stern weniger 🌟

The External display does not display the video. We get a light mode screen and no video on the external display. It doesn’t mirror the iPad inside the video Picture in Picture on Home Screen works in mirroring mode but only a small size video. Entering full screen returns to light mode and no video output.

I like using this app to catch on dub dub videos. Just one small bug with the video player; it doesn't hide the mouse pointer when video is playing.

Seems that they removed all WWDC videos from 2015. Cannot search to find any of them. And more importantly, lost my previously favorited 2015 session videos. Why would an app ever delete user data? Update: while some of the 2015 videos are now back, some are still missing. For example, Protocol Oriented Design. What gives? Update: 2015 videos have returned as so did all my favorites in the last update.

You have access to our Timezone and calendar why not put times in the app in our local time this is an international app right?

Great that there is a way to browse download Developer/WWDC content for offline use, but unfortunately lacks a means for adjusting playback speed, which is a must for long form video content. AVFoundation supports it! No technical excuse ;)

Please bring back the collection view layout for my Favourites on iPad 🙏🏻 It’s feels really cramped now when I’m browsing for the next video I’d like to watch. Otherwise this new update is 5 ⭐️ Content inside the app is world class as always 🙌🏻

The WWDC app gets better every year. It’s awesome that I can start a video on my iPhone, and finish it later on my iPad or Apple TV. It’s also nice that I can mark a session as watched if I happen to have attended it in person. One thing I wish would change, though, is the Favorites view. WWDC19 just ended, and I favorited all the sessions I want to watch, but when I go to Favorites, I have to scroll past all my favorites from 2016, 2017, and 2018. I don’t want to lose those favorites, but it would be nice to be able to see only my 2019 favorites. Thanks for such a great app!

This app is really useful, but a few observations after this week: * The lab scanning thing is buried, why not scan the lanyard? Or perhaps prompt to show it when an iBeacon is present * There’s no way to cancel labs. I went to mine, but it wasn’t marked as attended. I had no way to say I didn’t need it when I received a notification without leaving my session. * I’ve heard lots of people saying they wish they could see who was presenting sessions from the session description. I also really want this feature. The information is in the video, but this is only available days after. * I had to unfavorite sessions I’d watched to remove clutter. It’d be good to have a toggle to hide sessions that have finished. Thanks

Seems ironic that the official app for the world’s biggest iOS developer conference has serious bugs - but it does. I kick off a download, then put the app in the background and lock my phone, next time I open the app it crashes on startup. I can open it if I retry, but now my in-progress downloads fail (I get an Alert complaining about files and directories) and have to be restarted. This has happened a couple of times. There is one video now that fails whenever I try to download it (and I have plenty of free storage). Also usability could be better - there are no filters, only a tableview tree structure, which means if I want to filter by more than one category I have to use the search bar. On the whole it’s a pretty good app, so perhaps it’s unfair to focus on the negatives - but really the WWDC app, of all apps, should be a showcase for how to do it right.

Hi Apple dudes, it would be great if the next version allows us to download videos over our cellular networks. Lots of people have much faster cell connections and unlimited data so please let us use it, whether we are in the office or on the road! Keep a warning sure, but don’t prevent cellular downloads!

Was about to submit a negative review because I could not see how to download video for offline but just found it. You buried a bit deeper than in previous years. I like that all the resources are conveniently linked to the session now too. WWDC app can be your one stop access to all that dev goodness now.

Love the app and content, but on iPhone X I cannot get the pass onto wallet on an account with 2 factor Auth. Please fix before WWDC so I can load up my ticket

After search I can’t get back to the main view without quitting. Not obvious how to mark favourite. No speed control.
