I’m a RBT and I’ve been using this timer for years. I accidentally clicked on an ad that popped up after the timer went off for my client. My phone was redirected to a scam ad insinuating I spent $569 on a porn website and my phone was locked due to detection of CSAM. This ad was disturbing and immediately made me delete the app. Very disappointed as my kiddos have loved the visuals and sounds of this timer.

I use this app for work with kids in a kindergarten setting and the ads are ridiculously fast after the timer finishes and almost always inappropriate for their age. I had a 5 y/o student click on a reddit ad and another ad appeared to be some kind of sexualized ai app. I like that I can customize the timer and background and that’s about it.

As a pediatric OT I relied on this app for most of my sessions however recently I used it and an ad for some sort of porn popped up while I was using it with a child! Absolutely disgusting and disturbing! Deleting this app immediately and posting about it in every OT group online I can think of so we can protect the children from being exposed to this kind of stuff. Absolutely inexcusable for that to have happened

This was great. But today I noticed 5 rated x images displayed in the ads bar across the bottom of the screen. This app is marked as safe for young children’s eyes. Parents and educators please delete!!!!!!!!!!!

I am OT that works in pediatrics. Used to love this timer and used it daily. However, there is a new update that makes you manually stop the timer. If you’re unable to manually stop it the sound goes on and on and on and on and is annoying. It doesn’t even play the complete sound before it starts to loop through it again. Looking into other options for a different timer.

There was a porn add right on the timer screen! Not safe for use by anyone. Disgusting.

There were pornographic images in the ads, very visible while my kids were using the timer.

Why?? Are there pictures of ladies in underwear on a timer for children?

My child had a lot of fun with this app over the years, but the ads have gotten out of control. Not only are the ads ubiquitous and confusing for kids, I recently noticed an ad banner at the bottom that appeared to be some sort of pornography. I am really hopeful that my kid didn’t see that and get exposed, but I’m also furious that an app for kids would allow that sort of content all in the name of making a few extra bucks in ads. I’ve removed this app from all my devices and I suggest everyone else does the same.

The app is okay but the advertisements at the bottom have women in bikinis and nearly naked women. Highly inappropriate for an app used for children. Do NOT use this.

The ad comes up so fast after the timer goes off I don’t get a chance to show my kids the pic before it disappears.

This was my favorite app for years and I loved using it with my pediatric clients during speech therapy sessions. With the recent update, the photo rotation is now drowned out by tacky ai-generated looking images, most accompanied by ear-grating noises. It’s very disappointing to see the developers take this route with the app and I’ve since been avoiding it.

This used to be a fun guessing game while potty training my granddaughter. I thought I’d use it again for my grandson but there’s now only robots and today…the number 25? Weird. Just plain stupid. Bring back the pictures please!

I can start the timer without issue but the pause and stop buttons do nothing. If I force close the app the timer continues so there is no restarting it that way either. I can’t find any way to contact support on this issue.

I love how visual it is, but you can’t tell when the time is up unless you are watching it. There seems to be no alarm sound at the end to let you know it’s over. It just goes to an ad, so my son can’t even see that the timer is up, which defeats the overall purpose of me redirecting him to show him that it’s done.

An app that is meant for children should not have ads where it is so easy for them to go straight to the Apple Store. I deleted immediately.

The ads are a pain, they could be a little more subtle.

With the new upgrade, the metronome sound get stuck, ie. the rhythm is stuck on repeat and the timer stops going.

I use this every day with my kiddos! Perfect for teachers, therapists, and parents or caregivers.

I work as a one on one paraprofessional at an Elementary school and this helps my kid know how much time he has on his break until he has to go back to his school work.

I like how most of these reviews are for pediatric rehab therapists. 🤣 I am one too and use this app all the time. I’ve been trying to cut back on screentime so actually look at my screen time reports to hold myself accountable and I spend more time on this app than any other on my phone (30-50 minutes a day every weekday). Just decided to splurge on the paid version - $3.99 one time for all features. The ad block alone is worth it to me, but also happy to support the creators for such a cheap price.

Free version of the app sometimes displays inappropriate ads on the bottom and gets glitched on the timer ending requiring me to restart the app. Sometimes ads that follow the timer finishing are also very inappropriate and loud. Only reason it’s not 1 star is because the timer works.

The ads were of women in horrible naked positions. So i will be deleting. On top of not having control to pause or skip by 10 seconds or add ten seconds anymore. This app is pointless.

I first want to first say that I totally get that ads are necessary to keep an app free. I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is ads that can’t be muted and have to wait to skip. It disrupts the flow of work with the autistic kids I work with and I’ve had to retire the app. It’s sad because I’ve used it for years.

Gosh, I am an OT and have loved this timer for years but the ads now last a long time with no way to exit before you can get back to the app. Also, some interesting ads along the bottom of women’s clothing I’m guessing. Pretty small but several show women in tight clothing and one in a nude top that almost looked like she was nude! I understand the need for ads to deliver a free app but not to the detriment of using the product. Will be shopping around as there are lots of versions of these timers now.

It’s great

I am a pediatric occupational therapist and have been using this timer for several years now during sessions and my clients absolutely love it. However, after a recent update, the ending sound continues to sound with the accompanying picture endlessly until you manually stop it. It has become a nuisance to always have to manually stop it. I wish there was a setting to let the user choose for themselves if they want it to continuously ring or turn off by itself after several seconds.

The countdown timer is very good for kids ,teens ,and adults.

My autistic level two child absolutely loves this timer. It helps calm down. Give him a visual aid of when it is time to do things, helps him in so many ways.

Sound is not working.

This is a great visual timer. I just wish the “times up” screen played a little longer before going to an ad. I like to use this in my classroom and if my students are working hard they don’t often catch the stars and I have to be quick to turn it off as I can’t guarantee what the ad will be.

Tried several timer apps - this is the only one I found that has a child mode option which prevents kids from pressing any buttons to speed up or stop the timer. They can still press the ads when the timer is going - to prevent them from doing this and opening ad webpages, set the phone to airplane mode first.

This is a great tool to use with toddlers to motivate them and help them accomplish tasks!

Very convenient for my son

Kids truly enjoy this timer. I have found it so helpful to have images they can choose from and to be able to have them pick amounts of time. This is a simple, straightforward app that has taken the challenge out of a lot of transitions for me as an educator.

I have used this timer with the students with special needs that I support and it has been so helpful for them to get a more concrete understanding of what it means when I say “two more minutes”. I have also started using this with my 16 month old and while I’m not sure how much he is understanding of the timer concept, we are building the habits so as he grows he can understand what is going on.

My 4 year old hates being told “it’s bedtime,” but now when I tell him that, he asks me to use this app. He likes using the stock images and does what he has to do when time goes off!

Update - the latest upgrade removed the explanations/labels from the settings toggle buttons. And the timer in the middle is no longer showing. Original review - Let others have mentioned, it would be great if the picture reveal stayed on the screen for longer. Kids may not be looking at the screen during the 5 seconds that the picture shows.

It’s great! It just doesn’t stay ticking when I go do another thing.
