Man bekommt einen Anruf und einem wird erzählt, dass man angeblich gehackt wurde. Dann wird man gezwungen diese App zu installieren& dann räumen sie alles leer von dir! Ich verstehe nicht wieso apple diese App nicht sofort verbietet

Scammers are using this app to control vulnerable people and then steal their money. So do not install with ANYONE on a call.

Beware! This app was used by scammers to get me to download and to remotely watch and my screen. I got a text message claiming that I was charged through Apple and if I did not agree with that charge to call this number to abort. Naturally, I called the number told them I didn’t authorize any charges and she had me download this app. Then she had me go in and save a number for my banking institution and said it was a secure line for my banking institution. Tell me to hang up and call them right away. I called him and got a voicemail that asked for my name And the guy called me right back acting like he was from the fraud department of my bank. Then he stated that there were several charges from an illegal online baking website that’s illegal in the United States and it’s a front for money laundering. During this time, I got suspicious and deleted the app and moved over my money. The guy heard me in the background and told me that I was more work and now wanted me to drive to my other banking institution that I move the money too, and wanted me to withdraw all of and re-deposited it into a third-party ATM back into my account. I told him I wasn’t going to that. He’s in proceed to tell me that and so then he told me that the treasury department was going to make a camouflage account and that I would need to transfer my money back over into that account so that they could catch these people who made these fraudulent charges on this illegal website used for money laundering. The guy wanted me to stay on the line with him the entire hour it was going to take me to drive to my bank. By this time, I was super suspicious I hung up the phone. They tried to call me back a few times. I called one, 800 my Apple and come to find out it was all a fishing scheme. I do not know how much information they I guess we will find out, but I surely will not be using that bank account that anymore.

Tried phoning meta to get back into Facebook account and instead had an East Indian guy answer the phone and told me to download this app, do not install apps like this!!

I got a text/email about a purchase from my apple account and they thought it was a fraud so I called the number they gave and had to give them my name and number then they wanted me to download this app so I downloaded the app and they said I had 2 other places using my account information, one was in china and the other was Germany. Said that the china one used my account and card on my account to buy child p*rn witch they said of course is illegal in the United States so he asked questions and asked for the photo number on my bank card so I gave it to him witch then he said what’s the toll free number so I wasn’t sure so he asked me to look it up so I did then after some more talking he said he’d connect me to the fraud support from my bank so I got sent over to that and they asked my name, phone number, and last 4 digits of the bank account number and then wanted my last 4 digits of my social so before I gave him that I asked how do I know this is my bank and he gave address and number and then gave his employee I D so I thought it had to be real but after he got the information he said please stay on the line while I work on it or something like that then the voice like Siri came on saying the number is invalid and try your call again and then the number ended. So that’s when I was like what’s up? So I got a call back right after from the posta be Apple support and the person kept saying hello can you hear me even though I was answering so they hung up and did it again a couple times then quit calling so then I called my local bank and told them and that’s when they said it must’ve been all a scam especially because they don’t have employee I D numbers that they can give out to people so please call your local bank first before doing what I did because I feel like a dumbo at the moment but the posta be apple support guy just talked so legit better then any scammer I’ve ever talked to so it just made it feel real even though I was worried.

I just had a call from someone trying a remote access scam on me, asking me to install this app. Don’t download this app if someone tells you over the phone to do that. Instead hang up and go to the Australian Government ScamWatch website and search for “remote access scams” to learn more.

I felt the need to update my review to remind folks that all remote support apps have the potential to be abused. TeamViewer, GoToMyPC, AnyDesk, LogMeIn, all have the same potential for being abused. If someone solicits you to fix your PC that you didn’t explicitly ask for, ignore or block them. My original review still stands. This app is terribly inefficient, has horrible display rendering and screen size management, missing basic features like file transfer. Which all makes sense for an app that hasn’t been updated in over 4 years. We pay just under $1,000 a year for two user licenses and can’t even get a decent mobile app. My company is extremely disappointed and searching for alternatives. ===Original Review=== This app is pretty bad. They haven’t updated it in years and it’s sorely lacking in features. No keyboard or mouse support, no file transfer support, the screen still doesn’t scale correctly and at times the keyboard can overlap your viewable space. Just really bad all around. Edit: August 2024 Still the same problems as above. Come on guys, at least have someone respond to all the erroneous scam reports. Explain to your laymen users what's happening. As I said above, you've abandoned this app and I'm not sure we need to be paying such high premiums for our SC subscription when there are better alternatives available now. Told to use this by a so called level 2 Bt engineer to diagnose my router only to try and send a link for me to pay them use and down load with caution!!

This is often used by scammers in India to gain control of your account. Do not paste any URL that they give you.

This app is dangerous. It’s a scam. These are the people that send you false emails stating some thing was charged to your account when you see nothing was charged, then when you call them asking for help, they try to get as much information out of you. These are the people that like to scam everyone out of their money. I first saw it and got scared. I called the customer service number they were asking very private information and once I figured it out, I erased everything. if they ever ask you to download a control app immediately hang up the phone. A couple of people that I know that have gone through the same thing. But don’t be afraid or mad at yourself once you get these random emails sometimes you do get scared but for next time make sure you read everything that is thorough.

This app is horrible! We have been asking for YEARS to have the IOS support fixed and NOTHING! You can’t even type with a physical keyboard on your IPAD with this app and the mouse support is barely useable. I spend about $750 a month to use this app with over 30 techs and the only reason I don’t cancel my subscription and go to another app is because the remote access speed is faster than anything out there for international support. Otherwise, I would have cancelled years ago. As soon as I can find a remote app with the same speed and features, I am going to migrate off this app. I am done hearing the years of excuses as to why they can’t make a good IOS app. Wake up - everyone uses IPADS with keyboards these days and the ONLY reason I can’t use my IPAD as my main device is because of this APP. Otherwise, I could use the IPAD for everything. I am done waiting for them to fix this IOS support. Again, as soon as I can find a suitable replacement, I am moving off this app. If this developer can’t build a good IOS app after 3+ years of everyone asking for it, then they aren’t going to improve the core apps either.

My wife was a victim of a phishing scam where the scammers tricked her into installing this app and transferring $ from her paypal acct. I wasn’t familiar with the capabilities of the app, and reached out to the company to try to understand how much info the scammers could have potentially stolen as a result of her installing it and doing a share session with them (i.e. does it allow them to log keystrokes, run scripts, remotely download credentials or other data, etc?). I never received any response at all. I get that I’m not their customer/user (the scammers are!), and my wife shouldn’t have fallen for it, but not getting any response at all was disappointing, and it added more uncertainty and stress to an already stressful situation. If this is indicative of the company’s responsiveness, good luck if you ever need support.

It’s been 2 years since native trackpad support was added to iPadOS and this app still hasn’t been updated, frankly I think ConectWise would be better off shutting it down and just saying they don’t support iPads rather than act like this is an acceptable app. It’s a really lazy app, just a shell with a browser loaded up in it, and the connection is poor - oftentimes you’ll find a section of the screen has become static and you must disconnect/reconnect in order to see any movement on that part of the screen

We’ve been longtime ScreenConnect customers and its limitations on IOS in the past were excusable. Now that IOS can support mouse input natively, there is no excuse not to allow a native mouse mode. Additionally, keyboards attached to an iPad are not auto detected and you are forced to press the mouse icon every time you need to type something. Something is wrong with this scenario, as well as the dev excuses about an IOS limitation in similar review responses. Other apps work perfectly fine and support physical keyboard and mouse just fine. One app I can point out that works exceptionally well is the Splashtop Business app and I’m sure regular Splashtop works just fine too. We use Splashtop as a backup to ConnectWise Control so the dev should take note that they should really put some time into figuring this out. We like Splashtop a lot and I’d hate to make the full switch sometime in the future because they can’t get IOS input device support figured out. Our Splashtop Business account rep has already offered us a sweet deal to switch but we’re holding tight to see if ConnectWise can get this sorted in a reasonable amount of time. Splashtop Business isn’t a perfect solution either; however, they are light years better on IOS.

This app is effectively a shell around a web browser to give remote access to clients. It’s a lazy way around the devs having to do any actual work and build a native app. The app itself then doesn’t render displays properly (often leaving the right 1/3rd of the screen in a static state) which then forces you to have to constantly disconnect and reconnect in any vague attempt for an MSP to provide remote assistance. Much as LogMeIn lacked some functionality, and was overpriced, this app leaves a LOT to be desired!

Since update I am unable to remote to a machine that is locked. Screen appears grey and I am unable to get login screen.

Ich wurde angerufen und mir wurde erzählt, dass es eine Abbuchung von 580€ gab. Obwohl ich keine Emailadresse, falschen Namen und keine Adresse angegeben habe meinte der aus Indien kommende Mitarbeiter im lauten called Center ich wurde betrogen. Die App soll eine sichere Verbindung zum Paypal Server herstellen. Es handelt sich um einen Scam und die App wird dazu missbraucht. Paypal würde niemals so etwas anfragen.

Perfect app to get help or support

Frustrating that cannot use Magic Keyboard with trackpad properly on this app. You can get by using the combo, but is a PIA to use with this combo on an iPad. That being said, works well on iPhone or possibly without using keyboard on iPad. Would be 5 star review, making it truly mobile app if fix the issues with iPad support.

Love the app, makes remoting super easy however would love Magic Keyboard support :)

Just putting this review out there since there seems to be a lot of non-technical people giving bad reviews. The new update for the app is fantastic! It’s much more usable now and they made a lot of improvements. Guest mode is awkward, but iOS made it to be awkward so there’s really no getting around that. The interface is much improved and the ability to move the cursor around without having to find your “mini mouse” like in the old app is great. I’ve always thought teamviewer had a great mobile interface and the latest update from ConnectWise has made their app very comparable as far as the control side goes. I wish the interface to connect with guests was easier to use. They place a webview in that accesses your screenconnect instance so they’re limited by web technology being a little clunky. If they made that mobile website version cleaner and more usable on mobile devices he whole experience would be a lot easier. Also, please make the session last longer after logging into the screenconnect server! Seems like I have to type my password every time I want to connect to a guest machine.
