RemNote is honestly not worth the money at all. It takes forever to generate questions and multiple-choice cards, and half the time you’re just sitting there waiting for it to process. For something that’s this expensive, you’d expect it to actually save time, not waste it. The pricing is ridiculous for the slow performance and limited value you get in return. If I could give it 0 stars, I absolutely would. Definitely wouldn’t recommend paying for it.

i recently purchased the ai pro subscription on my ios Remnote app, but i am unable to generate flashcards from my uploaded pdf file. It just show me the pdf & after that i am unable to nagivate anywhere.

Download the two PDF and the app said that I downloaded for then told me that I had to pay. Tried to delete my account on the website and it wouldn’t allow it. I’m starting to notice how these companies are making cancellations a hassle just shows how desperate they are.

This app would be an absolute game changer if it worked. It is constantly glitching and the buttons don’t work. I used this for 2-3 weeks and it was great. I was able to get my entire test materials on RemNote and was on track for my test. 5 days before my test the buttons on the app suddenly stopped responding. I’ve tried updating and deleting the app and nothing is fixing the problem. So I’m stuck with a worthless app right before my test. Do your research before you use this app. There are countless Reddit threads about RemNote glitches. I should have used an app like Anki which is more reliable.

The most important tool that I use to study doesn’t work. YouTube links don’t play. Fix it.

I genuinely love the web version on my laptop so I was excited to find out they had an app where I could review my flash cards on the go but it has been such as frustrating experience on mobile. I can’t even get through 1 card without it telling me it needs to refresh. I even tried using the web version on my phone as suggested by others but it still faces the same issues. I’m just really disappointed

Hated this app, my friends boosted about it, too many glitches and freezes constantly had to reupload documents constantly very time consuming try something else not for grad students maybe for someone who has the time to waste instead of studying

Prepare for a bunch of spam emails

Dental student here. Wonderful app for flashcards, integration of OCR for PDFs, and typing notes. However, the inability to manually write notes or even place a text box, on the PDFs (like most every other note-taking software) is almost a deal breaker.

Taking notes on my IPad gives a lot of issue it glitches a lot while im in class and it causes me to fall behind with all the glitches. It does retain the info but with it lagging and having a lot of problems. It makes it hard to appreciate the app.

Sign in using apple is not working on mobile

The app keeps crashing when i open it. When it does work (rarely), it proves to be very unuseful. Also, i use it on my ipad and it is quite difficult to navigate on it. The interface is more optimised for mac and pc. The flashcards are really weird because instead of a card, you type them in a sentence.

The app feels slow. UI animations aren’t feeling smooth or intuitive. Entering text in notes doesn’t feel snappy. Overall, it is a sub-optimal experience. Hope this gets better soon.

The free tier is way too limited. They should make all the pro features server based instead of feature based. I.e. features that require server should cost money but all local functions should be in free tier. Otherwise feels like a standard system whereby they cripple software until you pay. Can never compete with anki until this is addressed. Also charge money for the mobile apps. That is another way to make money. But don't cripple the software.

When I want to highlight a sentence using “cod+c”,it has no reaction.but it works well in my mac.so I think it’s a bug,I hope remnote becomes better and better!

Whenever I click the daily note option the app crashes. It asks me to reload which does not help. Closing/killing the app does not fix it. I have to delete and reinstall totally. When I’ve reinstalled, it happens again. Unusable in its current state. This has now extended to the browser in safari as well. iPhone 14 pro max issue it seems. I love RemNote btw. Please fix.

有在回覆問題的app! 有買付費版 可以遮住圖片的功能很讚 但表格一定要有橫縱標題才能做成card 不知道可不可以改成都可以（純挖空格）？ 還有表格不同格內的挖空格希望可以block all, test one. 或自己merge想遮住的幾格。整個遮住的話不太容易記得，或全部一起顯示也容易看到別格的答案😂

I find this app great for studying my notes and creating notes into flash cards for space repetition. With its AI assistance allows note taking to be far more easier and creating flashcards without any hassle. This has helped a lot and I will continue on using this app. Also what makes it great is that even the free version allows you to do so much, so you can either stick to the free version and upgrade when needed if you want to make studying far more easier. Thanks to RemNote for this great app. I wish more people knew about it.

I enjoyed the app on my computer, but since i can’t lug that around all the time I downloaded it on my phone. It is EXTREMELY laggy on phones and it breaks, especially when scanning documents. I wish i could use it more easily.

I believe this is the only app that combined with outline doc, handwriting(even support Apple Pencil) , Flashcards, MindMap, whiteboard. I’ve expecting this kind of app for 4 years.

I want you to pay once instead of a subscription. It's too expensive to buy.

I have never seen a team so dedicated and determined into improving their app. With their constant updates into making their app more efficient and adding nee features is amazing. The new update with the Learn/Tutor ai is worth the money alone. I am honestly canceling my other subscriptions to quizlet and chatgpt and fully committing to this app. The diversity of this app is amazing and I hope as a user to user and student to student you give this app a try. I love this app and team!!! This app deserves more praise and users

I tried all different app, but this one has it all. You can take notes, write hand notes, supports LaTeX, does spatial repetition, and even an AI reviews your notes for accuracy. There is no other app that comes close to it.

I had been trying to use Anki for a long time and just never managed to figure it out, but this app is a game changer, it’s very easy to use and has allowed me to maintain optimal space repetition without so many complications. I really wish I discovered sooner

Allows great note taking with flashcards and organization. This saving a lot of time and allows me to progress my study more. A great tool for learning. I just love it.

I love this app and it has helped me so much. I have trouble with both starting to study and actually commit to it due to something. This app helps me study more efficiently better without the effect of feeling drained during or after. My grades have finally went back up. I do recommend especially pro + AI. It’s very organized and useful for all types of learning styles.

This is the app I’ve been dreaming of for decades! It combines the spaced repetition power as Anki does, the outlining capabilities of Logseq, the backlinks feature as Obsidian does, the bullet points and numbered lists of Notion, and the notebooks and pages management convenience of OneNote. Wow, what an unbelievable app! It brings together all the best features of the tools I use into one place. And the best part? All these features are free. I absolutely love it.

Flashcards and notes are finally unified in this excelling, fast, and intuitive app. Just subscribes to the pro version, though the free version also does it.

No exaggeration. The notes/flash cards integration is seamless. Much easier workflow than Anki. Great community and excellent support.

This is the perfect app for students like me. So many different options for note taking and studying, basically has the features of apps like endnote, notability, and Anki all in one. With super responsive devs and a very customer friendly business model to boot.

I found this app when searching up apps to create flashcards from free. RemNote popped up and I decided to give it a try. I have been using it ever since and never even look at quizlet anymore. I highly recommend it. It has a different format, but it is very user friendly, and once you get use to it you are able to do so much more. You can organize your different classes, create subfolders, and create flashcards, documents, and even images. I have a folder for all my classes and each ones has the classes study material I created that I can even share with friends. RemNote has truly been amazing.

Use this app that if you want to commit to long term learning at a mastery level. I mean it, it will be the only app that will save your life. Learning curve is very steep, but you will learn as you actually putting into the effort learning both the subject and this app. Godlike app. and the developers are so helpful in the most unimaginable way. You get surprise updates to fix problems all the time. Now, at least to my vision, as a JD law school student, i have no complaints.

I use it for educational purposes. It's very good. I wish it supported Japanese.

Title says it all!! I switched from Quizlet and Im here to say that RemNote is much more efficient when it comes to learning and retaining your knowledge. Super useful

This app is high key goated for making flash cards

I just started school back and I was honestly humbled my first test- I’m still learning all the features but the flash cards are fantastic

I started using RemNote for my pathology exam and it’s been very helpful. I love being able to do my notes and create flashcards at the same time. I do wish that the $10/month subscription included more AI credits—I didn’t realize how quickly one could go through them! I don’t want to spend more than $10 as I am a very broke graduate student. BUT, otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with this app!

I love this app. I’ve gone back to University after last being there 30 years ago and the amount of time saved and value add provided for studying is just unbelievable. It is a whole new way to learn and I can’t praise it highly enough.

I am having issues the tabs on iPadOS. I don’t like how it is showing the new added tabs under the Daily Doc tab. Can you fix this by having the tabs be right next to the daily doc tab?

Been using RemNote for 2 years now. The app just keeps getting better. They always respond to my feedback and update the app. The recent 1.20 update makes the ios app really fast and so much more useable now. Happy learning!

This is a long-term review. I’ve been using this since last year. The app was inconsistent at first, but now with the new updates it is more streamline. It started as a notetaking app for school, that would make flashcards on the fly but now it has become an AI note taking app. I don’t even take notes anymore. Honestly, the notes that it makes on the YouTube lectures I send it is so dang accurate that the times that I would have spent taking notes, I use that time to memorizing concepts. This is a time saver app and premium membership has been way more than worth it. I have been recommending this app to all of my friends and showing them the notes it takes for me. I would say this app was one of the biggest reasons my grades increased despite not spending way too much time on studying. Bottom line: this AI note taking app basically streamlined my studying.

I tried to get ChatGPT plus to make flashcards based off of my professors pptx, I couldn’t get it to give me good flashcards even with multiple prompts. RemNote did an excellent job on the first try I did this with the free version, you can try it there and switch to paid if you like it. I will probably switch my family’s chatgpt subscription to RemNote instead

I love the app and I’ve been using It ever since but I have ran into a bug that it freezes when I open the app. It works perfectly fine on computer. I just can’t run it on my phone. It happened right after the update.

Im coming back to RemNote after a long break from using it (I used to be an avid user around 3 years ago). I keep encountering issues in usability. Here are just a few: (1) When editing a flashcard, I may leaving the app to reference other content, then when returning to the app, I suddenly have been exited from the edit wizard, and can no longer find that card. (2) There’s also no way to disable the swipe feature for flash cards (e.g., I may accidentally swipe). Also, if a user is already required to tap in order to reveal the answer before being able to swipe, swiping actually doesn’t provide any convenience if you think about it. Requiring two different motions is a throw off. I don’t like the feeling my finger can accidentally slip and incorrectly rate a flash card (3) searching for a rem doesn’t bring you to a rem. It brings you to the parent rem, and then you may have to scroll thru a hundred different children rems to find the one you’re looking for. (4) I wish the “read only” decision for a document is saved for that document (so that it’s still read only when returning), or that it’s more accessible (i.e., doesn’t require 2 clicks to trigger it). I feel like there’s a hundred things that can accidentally go wrong while simply navigating the page. Like if I fat finger a button, suddenly my document is going to implode or the formatting is going to screw up (I am just overwhelmed by the number of new features). The UI just feels way too crowded and there are too many features accessible at once (too much information, interface is not clean). (5) for some reason I cant select the first word after the arrow by double tapping on it; the selection glitches out due to the arrow (;;) maybe? I am on iOS 18.6.1 on iPhone 16 pro.

Really fantastic app - something that can really compete with stuff like Notion - although functionality is great the actual app performance and set up on mobile could be a lot better. It seems to take ages to load and snap into and I’m not sure it’s fully optimised for mobile, both backend and even front end.

Has been use remote for years, also tried various note taking tools but this is definitely one of the best because it helps you remember the notes into the brain

It works best on pdf but only on desktop, so I really hope the developer can improve its tablet experience, say drawing on pdf with iPad.

This is almost the only app were the flash cards that you create can be uploaded add in between lines of notes and personally more than anyone I have used apps like quizlet and more however I love this flash card app the most . The exam date feature is a life saver for students even for me because I get to stressed I can’t go through all the flashcards for my10 GCSE subjects ,Remnote does scheduling for me and saves a lot of time and effort .I hope in the future tho ,that this app has more free and useful features like the exam schedule for students like me :D

So I’m currently using RemNotes as it seems to be better than Obsidian for the purpose I need it for. Remnotes allows me to so far add notes and folders in a tree format and most importantly allows me to order/organize these notes and folders how i want. I can move folders under notes, notes over folder, folders of notes to other folders, etc. That is exactly what i need for stuff I’m doing. That said, only reason its not 5 stars atm, is it has been having some crashing issues. For some reason it will need to restart mid use or stop working as I’m typing. I only have documents and folders in my remnotes and a few notes have 3-4 images in them max. It really should bot be crashing, at least not as badly as it has been. Not even close. It seems to have just given me an update (only after checking the app in my app store library) so i am hoping that this fixes it. It would be nice if Remnotes would be a bit more specific about what bug and such are being fixed.

It’s insane how little traction this app has, this should be in the hands of every high school and college student. Far better than Quizlet (obviously) and a better UI/more features than Anki. Truly amazing, this has helped me so much.

Took my own troubleshooting to figure out the app doesn’t work if you have lockdown on IOS it needs to be disabled then the app will work. I even emailed RemNote with videos of app not opening and they had no solution

So many of Anki’s issues are fixed with this app, from unintuitive UI to more advanced customization without having to learn coding, it has it all. Although this may be a smaller app, the developers are dedicated and build the app features based by science. The devs are incredible, and extremely responsive, taking less than a day to respond. The app does have a few quirks from time to time but given the dev’s proactivity they are nonissues. I would change nothing (except maybe customize the response buttons). Great app!

Just felt the need to express how amazing this app and website is. Works as a great tool to crest flash cards on website and then use the flashcards on my phone. Its AI capabilities are phenomenal in simple tasks such as generating and creating flashcards.

Can Chinese language be added

If they could add improved notes-to-flash card mechanics, this app would be perfect for my needs. It’s a little restricted in that one regard. Other than that phenomenal app, highly recommend.

Look i love remnote, but they roll new features out that are super buggy and then it makes it impossible to use sometimes. Which is a problem because as a student i work on deadlines and when you have all your notes in one place it’s not fun for that to have issues. also the new ai is just obnoxious, and even though I have it inactivated there are issues with me accessing pdfs bc of that. I wish they would take their time rather than releasing half-baked concepts all the time.

In ipad os dark mode, there is a big problem with the display of the input method.You can barely see the first candidate word when typing Chinese.Can't add images here, hope you know what I'm talking about

EDIT: Swipe to indent on the mobile app has been fixed! I have been using RemNote for 3 years, throughout my high school and college career. I intend to keep using this amazing note-taking program into graduate school. I have even begun using RemNote to organize my non-school related thoughts and notes because the nested, tree-style structure documents that RemNote allows you to create are just so effective at organizing ideas. However, at the time of this review, to me RemNote is only properly usable as a desktop app. Whenever you scroll down or up on RemNote in the mobile app, whether it be you skimming over your notes or quickly trying to find a specific topic, a Rem almost ALWAYS gets accidentally indented or outdented, often ruining entire tree structures that were meticulously written. This is so incredibly frustrating and happens so commonly in the app that it often has me wondering if the RemNote developer team has even tried to use the iOS app in any capacity. I often find myself not using RemNote in certain cases, simply because I would rather have certain information to be also easily accessible on my phone, and not just my desktop. An easy fix to this would be to include some sort of toggle in the settings that would disable this feature, something like “Disable swipe to indent” in the app. I am BEGGING the developers to add something like this into the app so that I can begin to enjoy this wonderful program on my phone.

Pease add support for darkmode icons, this app is ruining my home screen and I really need it there

I really like RemNote, and I'm sure they'll pull it together eventually, but right now I can't go five minutes without running into something that doesn't work as expected, or is buggy and slow. Prepare yourself for a frustrating time.
