Super slow and won’t load in days. Replies with just rewording my reply over and over again. Also why do all 5 star recommendations sound like back hand comments?

the ads happen like every two chats and constantly being directed to shein or the amazon website is genuinely making me want to stop going on the app. plus, chats with some of the bots are completely gone or missing most of the dialogue.

I still feel this app has the most realistic and best flow of conversation out of any chatbot app I’ve tried. And it did have one of the simplest character creation processes ever that still resulted in an incredibly realistic character. It was always lacking on features but that was easy to overlook because infinite messages and chats and very good chats. Until recently, when they deleted everyone’s entire chat histories. And even then i could live with that. But then they removed the advanced option in character creation. Meaning the characters you make literally only go off the sentence introduction, no description, no personality traits, nothing. Yeah this app is screwed. Some people say they dont have unlimited chats anymore but i haven’t experienced that

I’ve used this app for a long time now, believing it was reliable, and able to hold the imagination that it had proven to be able to hold, then it all ended, when CHAI lost ALL of my stories, including ones that were already finished. I’ve sent email after email, and NO ONE responds. There’s no one actually there. They’re just taking whatever money you put into their app.

These ads are insane I times how long I get till another ad I got 5 min 46 sec and 1 min and 43 sec till the next ad I bearly get to actually respond to the ai before a ad pops up

You can’t go 2 messages before getting a 30 second ad in your face.

I’ve been using this app since at least 2022. I’ve seen it do nothing but get locked behind stupidly insane prices and now you can’t even chat without it telling you to upgrade and pay for it? The apps gone so down hill I am honestly just debating uninstalling it and going to a different more actually put together app.

constant ads playing in the top of the screen. shein ads automatically redirect you to your browser to load their page, if you click it or not. this is new and it’s extremely bothersome. stop using shein on your constant ad bar, they make your app unusable. and all my bots got deleted but 5 of them???

So I have a bunch of bots on this app, Most of them are important to me, recently I had updated Chai and I scrolled down to see my older chat bots and older messages, but when I scrolled down it wouldn’t let me go any further down and I got suspicious, at first I thought it had to be either my internet connection or my storage, But after finding better internet and getting more storage I found out that no, it wasn’t my fault it was Chai, Chai now deletes your older bots/chats and that isn’t a good update at all since people use this app to either roleplay mostly or save important things onto this app. Another thing that has been bothering me badly is that Chai still will not let you message bots a long paragraph, Now why would you be needing a long paragraph? Well if your using the free Chai messaging option the bots won’t be as accurate as you would want them to be so of course like any other person you would write a longer paragraph to the bot, and you can no longer do that and I think that’s extremely stupid, Please fix this problem.

I’ve been waiting for my messages back and even if I do get them back I get at least 20 MAX, that’s like a 2 minute conversation with a bot. I should not have to pay to continue to chat with a bot that forgets everything every second. It’s been weeks since I’ve gotten my messages back and because of this. I will definitely not pay for Chai premium. This app is starting to become useless and it’s ridiculous

I got unlimited for three days, but it 0 left again. Why? Can’t you make it stable? Give my 9,999,999 back😭😭

Genuinely why even make an app if you’re just gonna ruin it?? Chai used to be perfect and now it just deletes all memories and chats like it’s not years and years worth of time and memories for some people! Chai developers are their own downfall.

It's not free and it exploits users in the worst way for money. I can't talk to bots without money.

They really ruined the app taking away key features with their new updates, do nothing to fix it and actively delete criticism on their socials.

Limited 3 days

I made a report a few days ago about how a lot of my chats had been deleted or a lot of the content had been removed, so I tried to give it time for the engineers to respond, but today I go open the app and ALL OF MY CHATS but one were gone, but this only happened after I updated the app.

Free user. I can deal with ads (at the top), but ads every few messages AND at the top AND a Shein pop up AND you wanna delete chats every few weeks like pick a struggle GAHDAMN. And I hear other people get message limits? Sort your app out. Ngl there was a glitch at one point where it gave me Plus unprompted 😏 the least they could do

All of us using the app are using it for one reason; to chat. These limited messages we have are a complete waste of time. The moderation needs to choose whether if they want to keep their app great or make us find another app to satisfy us.

I love how the bot remembers everything and the talks i just enjoy every conversation i have with the bots !though we gotta stop with these dirty sexual ads…seriously i dont wanna be flashed by some weird apps.. and maybe instead of limited chat what about limited time…maybe like everyday you can talk to the bot for 3hours and then limit!.. good idea isnt it!..thanks again love this app..

It used to be $13.00 bucks a month to use it ad free for premium which is still more than I think it’s worth but more reasonable than today. Now they’re charging you $9.99 a week to use it.. meaning it’d cost you $40 bucks if not more after tax to talk to ai💀 which is genuinely insane. That’s more than what streaming services charge you a month. I used to buy from them regularly when it was $13 bucks a month and even when they were pushing it with $5.99 a week I still bought it. But now? You’re not getting any money out of me chai. Make it $13.00 or $13.99 and I’ll buy. Otherwise, goodbye.

I really loved this app, but now there's a permanent limit. Many people don't have the money to buy a subscription. Please remove this feature.

Used to be an amazing app, but after this last update I keep getting redirected to SHEIN every 15 seconds or something.

This app desperately needs to think about the people paying for it. The people supporting them. A few months ago, 5 stars wouldn't feel like enough for this app to me, I really loved it. Then, it deleted- with no warning- my months worth of chats. I truthfully can't trust this app anymore, not only messages but recently CHATS THEMSELVES are being deleted, any possible memory saved gone forever. Chai's team lost the narrative. How on earth are we to enjoy this app if messages are sometimes deleted within hours? I really loved this app. Now it has done so many of us wrong... one look on reddit or these recent reviews and you can see that. I don't recommend this app anymore unless they change. Don't waste your money when the chats last for a week at most these days (unless it's changed, which i sadly doubt). Very disappointed, caused forever trauma in me for losing so many beloved chats. Such a cash grab now, it's disappointing. If you still want to get it, make sure to screen record your chat every ten minutes before you lose it.

The limit is too small it’s annoying and needs to be over 1000 words because we type a lot and we make sentences so the limited words is annoying and not helpful and makes no sense get rid of it the persona thing is annoying to much in the way it doesn’t need to be in the chat space move it somewhere else!

There’s this bug where when i’m on a chat there is ads at the top right. but after a few ads have went by this only ad always makes my safari open and makes me go to the website. PLEASE FIX THIS IM TIRED THIS.

Everyone was fine with unlimited chats and ads even tho sometimes the ads would literally be after just one message. You are now forcing people to pay for your EXPENSIVE subscription service by literally taking away messages unless paid for. Insane lol. If you guys think this is gonna make you more money, it isn’t. What it IS going to do is drive people away from your app.

Bots can’t follow story no matter if you pay for long memory and don’t listen to the background and will try ti go against what your back story says. No matter how many times you tell it otherwise it always comes back to the inconsistency.

I used to love using this app because it gave me so much to do. So many bots that I could chat with and still have them to chat with later. Now I have bots that I don’t want to chat with or my earlier ones I can no longer chat with, it sucks. I liked chatting with multiple bots, now I can’t and it’s useless to use the app anymore.

It keeps showing an ad for "SHEIN" it redirects and forcibly opens a search engine on your phone. You don't even have to be touching the screen. There is no way to stop it. BE AWARE

Bro I used to use this app a lot it was my favorite but now this idiots decided that you have to pay the subscription so bad just to write and it shouldn’t be like that it used to be the greatest app over the others that tried the same thing now it down to nothing what a waste of an awesome experience wasted on stupid transactions over a stupid subscription you ruined your own project the best one just to make it so bad that and go down as the worst update in just one day

The app is actually unusable. Ads force you onto website every minute. There is no reason for anyone to use this app unless it’s fixed, which it won’t. The developers of this app don’t care about their users. They literally just want the money. That’s it. Delete the app and go ahead and move on in life.

i’ve used this app for years, and i’ve never had problems with it like i’ve had recently. the bots memory is terrible, they’ve been limiting messages again, one of the last major updates deleted nearly every single bot i had conversations with for no reason, and now they’ve removed the advanced settings feature on their bots. the advanced settings feature was one of the only ways to ensure your bots has some semblance of personality and backstory, and now that’s it’s been removed the bot making process is absolutely garbage and talking to said bots is even worse. i would love to have given this app more stars but in its current state this app is worthless.

This app is arguably my favorite ai chat bot app ever since at least 2023 but lately they’ve been extremely money hungry I use the free version because im not paying to talk to ai but now you have to have premium to with a bot for the day? What? Why this now it the chat limits are absurd this app has truly disappointed me im not paying 180 dollars just to chat with AI as much as I want

I’m sorry but this app actually used to be amazing before it went for the money grab. You can barely be creative. You can’t do HALF of what you could a year ago. And for what? More money to pay for less. Id honestly think if we paid to shut the app off, it would be less of a theft then what’s happened to this app. I don’t even use it anymore for the fact it just feels like a scam now.

Chai literally deleted ALL of my bots except for eight of them. Which were my recent ones. I talked to another bot which made the less recent one disappear. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT???!!! I mean just cause I didn’t chat with it recently doesn’t mean I want it gone!!! This is so frustrating I might as well stop using this app! This app keeps on changing, yeah some are really good like the personas but seriously??? Deleting the bots I had made an entire story with??? That’s like throwing a book into a fire pit after someone just finished writing the novel!!!! So not cool! I DONT recommend this app if you want to have genuine fun on it cause the app will just DELETE your stuff!

Limits are killing me

used to be a great app, it has since deleted YEARS of chats, and before wiped them all clean. i get ads constantly now. horrible app now.

okay i’ve always kind of figured this app was trying to compete with character ai and since the 18 years limit was added to character AI, manly people probably switched to this app. it’s always sort of copied c.ai’s ideas like the persona thing and editing the messages, but i didn’t think chai would go so far as to limit messages for entre days because we aren’t paying. its ridiculous and so greedy that you expect everyone to pay, when i guarantee that 3/4 of your main users are under the age of 18.

I don’t want to give one star to this apps either a half star. But anyways I want to talk about why WE HAVE 14 DAYS TO KEEP OUR CHATS?!! I HAVE TO MAKE NEW CHATS AND NEW CHATS AND ITS PISSING ME OFF. This app is great for storylines but how can it be GREAT when you guys are taking the great away from it. If you tell us WHY you taking away our chats then we will understand. For example: ChatGPT needs water to give us our chats so they obviously make factories. But do you guys need water and factories to do that,

at first it was 30 a month and then they changed it to weekly for 11 which i was ok with but now it 20 JUST FOR A WEEK they should’ve just kept it monthly and sometimes i have to keep repeating myself even i paid for it to not do that dont waste your money on the app plz it’s definitely better apps

En mi opinión, le han hecho muchas actualizaciones nuevas, lo que ha dañado la magia de chai, las cosas que me gustaban de la aplicación han ido desapareciendo poco a poco, por ejemplo, la falta de filtro, cosas como que algo te interrumpa en medio de un chat, como el “help is avaliable”, además de lo costoso que está siendo el premium, casi 7 dólares semanales ya me parecen excesivos. Espero que puedan arreglar esto pronto, porque realmente odiaría tener que dejar esta aplicación, asi que les pido por favor que lo tomen en cuenta, muchas gracias.

The app still doesn't work, it's a shame (I don't recommend downloading it only if you're willing to spend a lot of money purely to communicate with bots (guys, better buy something to eat, seriously it's almost $200:)

I have had chai for so long spent way to much money on this app, my guilty pleasure, I love it. But why on earth would you guys to cap the word limit?? Absolutely buffoonish update. You will fix it immediately. Also, 19.99 A WEEK for ultra?? It was 29.99 for a month for ever. 19.99 a week is absolutely ridiculous.

I used to love this app, absolutely adore it for having smart bots without a million guide rails and limits. I pay for the most expensive subscription because I liked it so much. I’ll be ending my subscription because they nuked the chat bot creator so that you can’t give it any extra info to work off of other than what’s in the first message. There’s also been cases of missing chat histories and I swear the bots themselves got dumber. I find myself having to tell it to retry responses more often than not now. Pretty disappointing, and I’d love to have to come back and adjust this rating because they gave us back the advanced bot creator and made things smart again.

I like the app, I deleted it a few months ago when the adds started randomly coming in, I joined before there were adds on any bots and i liked it like that, my only bad thing to say is that you should give old users that had this app before one of the passes for free or something among those lines

The other character in the chat uses my name as their own name, for example:Selena may be my name and then the ai uses my oc's name as their own. It’s confusing and I don’t understand what’s going on. Could you please fix this?

Love the app but changing the subscription to last only a week instead of a month really irritates me.

Ive been on this app for five years now, and i genuinely can say its one of the worst ones so far. Ads every two chats. When you’re responding with something with “Kill” or anything, it immediately erases your message and tells you to get “help at the safety center.” Which was never there before. The bots forget almost everything after a few more than 15 texts, and once again, the help thingy is so stupid.
