Capcuts great and i love all of its features but literally everything is premium and it genuinely ruins video quality. Every time i export something i have to put it in a whole or app to sharpen the features again

Capcut can you guys Please stop removing things? Like, its REALLY annoying to millions of people

Had multiple accounts on here with tons of old videos and edits from 2020-2024, logged back into all of them, looks like they don’t exist anymore. CapCut deleted ALL of my data, without me even requesting a deletion or deleting any of my stuff. I definitely wouldn’t rely on this app to keep any of your things accessible. I can’t recover any of those videos now thanks to CapCut! Thanks so much.

YouTube tutorials show a menu at the bottom of the app that allows you to search for templates. This is missing and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a bug? I also do not have Tik Tok to search for templates. Update (Dec. 2021): Developers have stated that templates (bottom menu) are only available in some regions. I live in the US and don’t have access. That was the greatest thing about the app but it’s useless now. Update (June 2026): When working on a template it says “loading effects…0%” and does not get any higher. This app used to be amazing but doesn’t ever seem to work.

This app is so frustrating, been using it to edit for some time, but every single time i try to do an edit, CapCut will randomly decide to remove an edit tool that i need, and switch it over to a pro feature, or, on some edits, I’ve had a glitch where it tells me that im using a pro feature of the app, and i will go back through my whole edit, and check every clip, overlay, and filter, and see that i have NOT used this "pro feature" that the app charges for, I’ve had this happen to many times and its caused me to rethink using the app and/or continue editing, overall, I think that there are better editing apps that don‘t charge, or glitch and cause stupid stuff like this to happen

My chroma key is gone and I have gotten reports from other people that chroma key is gone and it’s terrible because now you can’t remove the background for your edits and it makes it 100 times harder than it was

So i used capcut for a bit like 2 years ago and…it sucks, basically everything is behind a subscription, EVEN TO EXPORT YOU NEED A SUBSCRIPTION, pls make less stuff need a Subscription

Took two payments never gave pro access. Then kept asking me to buy and 0 support from the company.

This is a horrible app and that’s coming from someone who is still using it. It got me into editing and made it easy. Unfortunately the app ruins itself with its greed. Slowly everything’s becoming paid for. Extracting audios requires payment, exporting videos at good quality requires payment, good filters/effects required payment. Everything needs payment. The app is on its way to become unusable unless you pay for it. Go to any other app, I guarantee it’ll treat you better than this app.

If I could be dirty and give 0 stars I would. Because why is an easy and popular feature like extracting audio turned from free to a premium feature? MONEY. Super Greedy

if you wanted to use this app without paying just a few months ago there were dozens of free options to use for your edits so you can download. now you can’t even use the app without paying for everything. it’s honestly unfair considering how long i’ve had this app and i can’t even use it anymore without paying for it.

Try trying to make videos with them.

They removed this in my side. I can’t do anything. I’m trying to literally make a video, but I don’t see it in my side. That’s why I’m giving this a one star because all the ads and all the pro memberships bogus nothing but hogwash. Plus, I know better apps that can do more stuff than this garbage app so buy CapCut. I don’t need you no more you’re really nothing to be honest. I hope this will be the downfall of your app plus I know about the. Tracking feature that you’re doing you’re reviewing other people’s videos where I consent.

New update - new bugs, app is crashing

So CapCut is now about politics, lgbtq and nothing with edits and I’ve reported templates they don’t get taken down it’s probably because some stupid ai they have reviews it please look at this before downloading CapCut

I remember back in 2021 using this app. I only had to pay for a few things and even then the price was cheap and affordable. Now? I can’t say the same. Almost every feature is now locked behind a paywall. Want to adjust the format? Pay up. Want to add some cool looking text? You need a subscription. Want to remove the background for something behind a green screen? Guess what! Pay up! It is so absurd how this app has fallen. I’m sure many old users will agree with me when I say that there’s too much being restricted from use without a subscription. I’m also disappointed with how CapCut has leaned into AI usage. I’m upset that they are taking away creative freedom and supporting using AI generating programs.

Now listen I like to edit on CapCut but I can’t even post my edits, I can’t save to it to my device, most of the features are “pro” because CapCut is so greedy for money bro like genuinely gotta pay to save and edit to an device wow bro pure greediness

It’s actually just so annoying. I will always find a way around it and I will not ever pay a single dime out of spite

THEY MADE PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING DECENTLY USEFUL TRASH, THEY MADE BLOCKED IT THROUGH PAY WALL EVEN THE 4K OPTION EHICH USED TO BE FREE AND EVEN EXTRACT

Although I m aware that's how they make money, it's getting to the point where you're just money hungry😭 every single decent animation is now pro and it's getting frustrating.

Sometimes it’s working great then suddenly it’s not, letters not connected what so ever

It pains me to make a review like this since i’ve been using capcut since 2021 but WHERE DID YOU PUT REMOVE BACKGROUND I can’t make any edits anymore with this feature bc it disappeared so your now an opp capcut don’t come round my block unless you add remove background back so listen to me clearly cuh.

While the video features work great - the financial processing does not. Their help center is back and forth emails that seem to copy paste troubleshooting instructions that don’t even apply to their most current version or to the problem you’re having. I found out that sadly, I am not the only one this is happening to: You pay for a subscription -> somehow, the app unlinks that subscription from your account -> you find out when the app prompts you to upgrade your free account. For me, I paid for their yearly tier but CapCut has been unable to link that yearly subscription back to my account.

Many templates fail to render.

When creating a video, it says that this function is not available in your region. When you turn on the vpn, nothing changes.

Frequently it will remove my comments without telling me which ones or why, so there’s nothing I can do to improve on not breaking the guidelines, makes 0 sense. “You’re in trouble” oh for what? “It’s a secret” okkkk…. You’re joking right? “No and you’re being punished” what why? How? “That is…. Also a secret”

I’ve requested support multiple times for my paid subscription login. The ‘support email’ continues sending the same auto response requesting the same information I’ve uploaded multiple times. ZERO HELP!! After a week of trying to get back into my account..NOTHING! No help. No access!

It just won’t let me download it again, i reset my device, asked help, it won’t download

The app is amazing and all, you can have fun editing your videos but you gotta pay for everything now, pay to export/ download the video, pay to remove the capcut logo off ur video, pay for fonts and even paying for the templates, i have to screen record all my videos just bc it wouldn’t let me download it. Whenever someone screen records it makes the video randomly lag and bug. Thats why capcut needs to remove these dumb payment stuff

Used to be free and now its paid

Okay, so I only gave this 5 stars so people can see it. The new update SUCKS. So after a long day, I go to finish an edit I’m working on, and when I look for remove BG it ISNT THERE. I’m pretty sure you removed it and changed it so only or users can use it. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. And don’t even GET ME STARTED on the prices for pro. I could buy after effects for lower than that price. I loved the old Capcut, and I mean LOVED IT, but now I’m not so sure if I should continue using this app. Capcut is so money hungry, I miss when everything didn’t require a pro subscription. Adding this update will not get more pro users, it will get more people to quit and delete the app. This was not the right way to go capcut.

Раньше это был универсальный комбайн 2+1 фото и видео редактор. Можно было ухитриться и делать на нем абсолютно всё что можно делать в фотошопе, теперь не так и приходится искать замену, верните прежни фоторедактор пожалуйста

Never ever use this app. These guys are fraudsters. Even after cancelling my subscription, my card was charged for $200. After I sent them an email they said they would return it in 24 hours. It has been two months now and they have stopped replying. Do not enter your credit card information they will steal it and then charge you regardless

Where is remove background?

you literally can’t do anything with out paying a bunch of money, so you can’t create much. 3 or 4/10.

CapCut used to be the best editing app out there, the one and only app to edit everything you wanted, easy and efficient. I loved this app. Now, it’s absolutely AI-sloppified, filled with corporate greed. They feed all of your videos into AI and you barely even know it. They don’t even tell you this upfront, it’s in the fine print. And every video you so much as import on this godforsaken app gets owned by them. It’s in the contract. And that is cruel. Not to mention how often they love turning free effects into paywall ones. AI and greed ruins everything.

Why is extracting audio a premium feature now that you have to pay $20 for???

You removed lots of useful features and added more pro that costs money and ruined the quality this app sucks now -2/10

i used to use this app alot. and i mean alot. but everything is behind a flipping PAYWALL. i get that you need money, but you’re just losing people who use the app. you literally made the most basic feature PRO. why? in what scenario would you need to make “extract audio” pro? its just horrible. this app is very disappointing.

While I was editing a video it crashed and deleted my video I’m very upset because this was the best video I ever did.

I need pro for everything. I’m tired of copyright infringement and videos and stupid edits

They firstly ask you to pay, then they put watermark on your video. I will request a refund immediately

I was looking for a template and one said export to see template not porn well I wanted to see a template and it was PORN now im under 18 3.7k reported this so this proves CapCut does not care DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Whenever I try to add my video to the project, even if it's a minute or an seconds short, it downloads super slow. Pls, fix it.

At first it was working fine after a like two weeks the audio when I would speed it up it totally changed the sound like a robotic and it doesn’t come off even when I try to take it off it’ come off when it want too and it’s getting so annoying because I got work to get done please fix that I already paid the full year so it’s really annoying me that I can’t just edit and save when that audio ain’t working

it annoys me to no end when a feature i’ve been using for years suddenly becomes paid, and capcut seems to do this every update or two. app has gone downhill over the years and will likely continue to do so. for now instagram edits seems to be better

Now it’s just garbage slop paying for basic features and not being given even half of what you need.

This is fun and stuff but the editing is so bad I I get my perfect edit and the second I try to watch it it restarts and I get me really mad and I’m sure that people don’t want their edit to restart so please fix this

It’s good and all, but they are so money hungry! You can’t put a SIMPLE transition without having to pay. The creators are driving me, and everybody else insane. It should be free, not a cash grab. Get your head together.

i love editing and capcut used to by my go-to app but now its literally unusable you cant even make a good edit without having to get pro and im sick of it. capcut used to be so good and now its literally unusable doesnt even work so i have to switch apps now. if only capcut wasnt so money hungry and was just a good simple editing app for beginners

The customer service is a disaster you submit a ticket and they take 3 to 5 days to respond with no solution your left paying money for a product that don’t work and at time will tell you that you don’t have a subscription and you do but since app won’t let you use the features your left searching for customer service representative that are no where to be found

CapCut used to be the best in class, but since the migration to US control it continues to disappoint. > I pay for pro, and I still get spammed with pop ups to buy pro. > They regularly change the layout / available stickers / available captions, etc making consistent editing work flow beyond difficult. > You have to import videos multiple times when using the send to function from the photos app - the first time forces you to the CC template tab with obnoxiously loud music you cannot disable, then you have to go back to the content and repeat the same process to actually be able to start editing. > When you renew CC subscriptions, you lose any accrued time. It starts from when the new promotion is selected. Want to give them your money via a new promotion and still have a few months paid for? Too bad, you'll lose it. This is just off the top of my head. They must have lost some good people with the US migration. This is not worth the headaches, especially at $20 / month or whatever outrageous fee they're trying to charge - especially with this new pay wall level coming. After years with Capcut, I'm leaving... and I will be glad not to have to deal with this dumpster fire anymore.

Buggy software with terrible usability

Non functioning half of it. Vague labels for features. I’m a normal dude trying to edit some clips not an adobe photoshop professor. Maybe remember normal non neckbeard autistic people use things too 👌

I have to pay for literally everything

Ok so I’m trying to remove the background for an HCR2 (Hill Climb Racing 2) character but for some reason it removes everything without fail I’ve tried multiple different times but still it removes everything even the character please fix this it’s actually pissing me off

This is a complete scam, nothing free and you have to pay monthly to use an app that barely functions. It just fails to create and says you lost connection.. the amount of 5 star reviews seems concerning and needs checked for bots…..

I hate how they keep throwing AI trash in your face and keep trying to get you to subscribe, there are no ads though which is nice and it’s a pretty simple process to edit, but sometimes the editing options don’t make any sense. Even then this is a really nice app and can help you practice editing and you can even use some tools in other editing apps. If you are 13+ and want to learn editing skills I love and would recommend this app sooooooooo much

adding things like a repost button!! been wanting one for so so long.Or also put newer creators on fyp too. Lastly Please but less things as pro. I feel like i cant make any good videos or photos without having to see the thing to buy pro. I cant. I do not have the money. im not asking for no pro just a little more leeway for the non pro-bes like me.

There is too much brainrot

I love this app and it’s really fun to use and to scroll through the templates but what I don’t think parents or users know about is that it is like social media. You can scroll through short videos that people make. You can also like and comment on the video if you sign in. If you sign in you can also be a creator which means you can post videos. There are no private accounts only public. Anyone can go on your account and watch your videos and comment and like them. The app does pay you if you get enough likes, followers etc… Another thing is that I have only had the app for a few months and it takes up a lot of storage. Mine takes up 23 GB but it will depend on what you download and save videos or post videos. And I do believe that it should be called social media. Honestly I think it’s a great app but I don’t think parent know what you can do on it.

I love this app, I have used it over almost 3 years and I’m a creator myself! The learning curve is easy compared to AE (After Effects) I would always recommend it to beginners who wants to be able to edit videos professionally. I think this is a great starter kit for them but overall the price is hard to afford in certain regions. I have one suggestion for CapCut if you could take in consideration—that would be great. For all the creators who use the pro subscription! When I press the velocity, there are presets already set up. Most of the creators have created their own velocity for each clip. This is time-consuming for creators , I was suggesting if you could do presets for their own creation on velocity. So when they click that, it’s not taking up their time in their life too, Thank you so much for taking the time to read ! :)
