The app is fine and can do some basic reading and even allows for custom pronunciations.
It’s not worth it if you have to read long passages or texts, though. It routinely reads the same page or even passage over and over again until I manually change the selection or close the app. And sometimes I can’t even select text in the file for it to read.
This has been happening more frequently this year and I’ve ignored it until now. The last straw was not realizing it had glitched (as usual) and had sent my reading progress back almost 100 pages and then started repeating that page. I’ll be uninstalling.
Security Threat

If you’re comfortable giving the password to your email address to some random guy selling his app to have things read. Then sure. Go ahead. Pay an absurd amount to give away access to your email address where all your other passwords are sent to for being reset go shes.
Terrible. Do not purchase

It says you don’t need to sign up for an account to get started, but you cannot navigate to anything without first signing up. I do not like being lied to.
I want a refund.

I’ve been using the app inconsistently over the past few months and I’m very dissatisfied. While frustrating, and I can deal with the fact that it makes many errors in reading if a sentence is broken across the lines, one of the most frustrating fact is it just would not read parts or skip part of the text. Often when I try to select a part where to start, it would just take me to the other page, I have to restart the app over and over. It still gives me error. On some PDFs it wouldn’t even start at the beginning of the article. I’m very dissatisfied.
Only complaint

Great app however, I wish it has a setting to keep iPad screen on while reading…
NaturalReader has one job: read text aloud. Unfortunately, it struggles to do that reliably.
Playback constantly stalls, stutters, and skips entire sentences. I don't mind waiting for text to load, but load it first and then play it continuously. Instead, NaturalReader reads one sentence, stalls while loading the next, skips that sentence entirely, loads another, and then stutters through it. The result is a fragmented, frustrating listening experience.
I'd gladly trade longer initial loading times for smooth, uninterrupted playback. There is no point in having natural-sounding voices if the software cannot reliably read the text in the correct order without skipping portions of it.
NaturalReader needs to prioritize reliable playback over everything else. A text-to-speech application that routinely skips text and interrupts itself fails at its most basic function.
I love this thing more than life itself

I absolutely LOVE this app. I am a power user of text-to-speech software and use apps like this on a daily basis. Natural reader is my absolute favorite right now as the voice quality and voice-selection are really better than anything I've been able to find with competitors. It is a fantastic tool for listening to books and for listening while reading along as well.
Great app, super features!

Being totally blind, I find some of the features a bit inaccessible. However, between the PC app and the mobile app, I have been able to work around some of those and really enjoy using it.

It works perfectly. I see no problems with NaturalReader. I’ve used an MP3 audio file to clone my voice for production work and it did a wonderful. I was worried about the time limits built into each level of purchas, but I found that my full days were comfortably falls within the time limits. I came to this app from Speechify, who ended their voice cleaning capability, then stole my voice clone from me. So as long as NaturalReader doesn’t go down that road, I will never go back to Speechify.

Before no matter how much I sped up on the text on the app the voice sound the same now when I speed up text the voice sounds weird almost metallic or robotic but when you download the mp3 sped up it doesn’t sound like that I love this app and use it everyday but I can’t take it

I wish there was an option to keep repeating the document when it comes to the end automatically. This would be very helpful when learning to listen to a foreign language.

Great option, could be slightly better in the fact it doesn’t fully use context to get the correct pronunciation of words sometimes.

As someone who just struggles with retaining content for school. I have found this app really helpful because hearing the content they just reading it has been so much more helpful then I imagine. There is also this highlighting feature that is super helpful to really follow along. Definitely recommend it you find it hard to engage the content your are learning or just interested in!

The app is great if you wanna read text you’ve highlighted and copied and pasted. It’s wonders for if you’re writing something and like me, you can’t read like a loser! :( the only problem with this app is it’s selling point the many voices you have to pay for them. And although there’s many varieties many different languages and it’s very kind hope you’re not Canadian. They ain’t got no accents. Hope my voice type spelling helped you in some way.!😁✨👍

I really enjoy using NaturalReader to paste in articles and other content on the go so I can listen instead of read. My created voice actually sounds very real. My only complaint, and, it's a very annoying one, is that that it stalls for several seconds all the time before continuing. If it weren't for this, I'd easily give this app five stars. As it is functions, right now, however, I can only give this 3.5 stars, but I'll be generous, and round it up to four.

I don’t mind the robot voice for the free version. The zoom option is stopping the reading, selecting an option button, select zoom, close the zoom box so you are able to center the box so you can read along. Furthermore, it’s tricky to highlight more then one sentence at a time and once highlighted, it is hard to read and need to zoom in even more again fighting with where you want to be reading at.
