Just logged my 200th workout with this app - it’s been my favorite tool to track my workouts, performance and get data to assess my volumes, muscle distribution, etc. It’s also helpful to put together training plans before you get to the gym to round out your training. Definitely recommend if you’re new to lifting, or if you’ve been lifting forever but lack intentional progression planning or metrics to inform your workouts to reach your goals.

I never write reviews… but I’ve been looking for an app like this for a long time. I wanted something easy, clean, and an app where I could input my OWN workouts with the ability to plan and change reps/weight and save the workout for repeatability. Hevy does all of this! Plus the “you lifted as much weight as a …” is cute and motivational :)

Easy to track workouts with the timer in between sets is a game changer. Easy to substitute lifts for the day or even change the workout completely. Wish you could have more than 4 workouts to store.

* first , bug finishing workout in trainer on Watch ultra 3 when clicking finish on Watch it doesn’t update to the next workout plan and glitches and gives you the same workout I did legs 3 times until noticing so I logged out and logged in and it updated . Clicking finish on phone it updates normally only bug I noticed , secondly trainer could use some updates in showing your future workouts or plan and details but that’s all I can think of for now other then that I love the app , it’s great with ui and examples and explaining also simple and looks clean almost 5 stars but I support Hevy and recommend heavily ‘

I really like using this app because it’s easy to use and log your workouts. Furthermore, I enjoy using the example videos that they provide for the exercises because it allows me to learn how to do new exercises that i’ve never tried with an easy example to follow. Keep up the good work!

I recently purchased a lifetime subscription to Hevy. I had previously been paying much more for a different app 🪜. Since I am recovering from several broken bones, I decided to try the new Trainer feature to progressively overload through my recovery. What I enjoy is how everything is already planned for me, how easy it is to swap exercises, and the abundance of tracking metrics. I don’t use any of the social features on the app. It’s perfect as is, and I hope the developers retain the clean interface and ability to have a private account.

Never could I imagine writing a review for an app, much less a lifting app but this one deserves it. I quickly got premium after a week of using it because it’s extremely affordable and definitely worth at least twice the cost. I have been a rookie lifter for the past 4 or so years throughout highschool, but using this app to track my workouts along with tracking my calories on myfitnesspal, has truly accelerated my progress and allowed me to progressively overload in all of my lifts. You can also leave notes beside each workout to help yourself remember why you failed at a certain rep or any other reason. Im a 18 year old college student, and i recommend this to others my age!

I have been working out for over 30 years. This app really helps you to stay motivated and push to do better every single set. Updates I would recommend are: The ability for your movement to be tracked live (walk, run, swim, bike, etc). Secondly, actually put plans together for people to follow, I would be willing to build those for Hevy, if they chose to contact me. All in all, a great app to track all your exercises and progress.

I have tried a few different lifting apps, and this is the one I love the most! I have only been lifting for 6 months but can truly say that it has helped me to lift better and smarter. I really like being able to see the different muscle groups being worked as I track. One wish I have is to be able to add incline to my treadmill walk, and see more exercises in the available list. Also, the rest timer sound sometimes turns off or is ignored while I’m listening to music, but it’s an easy reset. Overall, I’m sticking with this one!

Considering I only use the free version, I am extremely happy with this app. It’s user-friendly and even though you can’t lock in more than four premade workouts, you can always just start another workout and build it while doing the workout. Great app.

If you know what you want to do for your workouts, this app is the best I’ve tried and is something I’ve used for months without an issue. I was looking for a way to log my set workouts without the app suggesting changes, and saving workouts and tracking stats is great. The only thing I wish is that you could upload multiple images/angles in the same day.

I’m a person who works out every day, has a coach, and competes and bodybuilding competitions from time to time. I’ve used a lot of fitness tracker apps over the last seven years, but this one truly is an illegal its own. The ability to easily track progress, reps, and volume, so simply that this app apart from others. The fact that most of this is provided to you for free is pretty amazing. After using it for a couple weeks, I decided to go ahead and purchase a monthly plan and I don’t regret it. The extra insights I get from my membership and ability to add my coach’s training plans directly to the app is awesome. I’m also glad to see Hevy adding a Coaching Support feature for trainers to direct and monitor clients. The only thing I wish would be added was a progress picture submission section that is shared only between clients and trainers. I think this would really set the app apart.

I’m a PT, and I absolutely LOVE this app!! Better than Everfit because myself and my clients and write and keep notes. Fantastic stats and progress tracker. Fun for social incentive. Suuuuper easy to use! My clients have more autonomy, better understanding for substitute exercises, and can keep all their stats even after working with me. This app is truly no frills, but all work ethic and encouragement. Been using this app for over a year during my weight loss/muscle gain journey, and I truly don’t know where I would be without it. The ability to create my workouts and be able to find visual examples of new ones I may want to try is amazing to have all in one place. The accolades it shows you for every PR just mentally pushes me to do more and go harder in the gym as a happy dopamine rush without becoming addicting. Also how it pairs with my Apple Watch (and I assume other biometric tracking devices) is seamless. Can’t say anything negative about it cause you get a good amount of this for free, but it was worth the money to get a subscription to. Probably best fitness apps I was ever recommended.

Can’t recommend this app enough for tracking lifts and cardio sessions. Would like more than 3 tracking categories but not enough to want to pay for the premium version. Has all of the standard lifts and a few of the lesser knowns.

I got to say that I’m fairly impressed with the amount of selections of movements and easy UI experience. Workout routines are simple to make and reformat as needed. Couple refinements: 1. Archer cable pulls are not selectable for rear delts. 2. Some integration for super-setting 2 or more movements would be cool to see. 3. Added integration into Apple/Android Health apps would be great as well.

Absolutely love this tracking app. The UI is super easy and intuitive. I can track my workouts. I can leverage AI to build programs. I can socialize like Strava if I wanted to take pictures and monitor my progress in my body composition, but also my workouts. The developers of absolutely knocked this one out of the park so much so that after a couple weeks of using the free version, I was happy to pay for The membership.

I use this app myself and recommend it to my clients. As a powerlifter, I appreciate the RPE scale built-in. The customizability is overall very good. Solid body of exercises. No apps, no ads, no nonsense. The only downside is not being able to make more than four workouts on the free plan, but for most people, that is no problem.

I tested four applications and they all had the benefits. For my use, which has been able to customize my workouts store multiple workouts to keep track of my progress as I’m doing them. Real time is the best I’ve seen. You don’t get coached workouts, but I find those to be a distraction. This is great for the person that knows what they do in the gym. Want to stand and yet want it organized great work on the application.

I love this app. Ive been going to the gym for 10+ years now and never really tracked my lifts. It was always hand written in a notebook that I wasn’t consistent with or just all in my head. Once i started using this app i can see all my previous lifts, my plans, reps, weights. Its really helped me grow and structure my workouts. I got all my friends to download it as well. Not sure ill ever stop using it.

Great motivation is being able to see your progress increase week by week, and the rewarding feeling of seeing the monthly chart of how many times you’ve gone to the gym and it being filled up throughout the month is amazing. Also, the feature being able to add friends and motivate and push each other is a 10 out of 10 app recommended to all my friends.

Hevy is the BEST workout tracking app I’ve used hands down. The past 200 workouts/ year I’ve used it has been incredible. It has turned the gym into almost a game where I can collect ribbons and compete against my friends. I have never been more consistent in the gym since before using Hevy and I am forever thankful to have been recommended it. And who knows maybe one day I’ll consider getting the premium version…

I was looking for a basic workout app to track weightlifting workouts. This is not a basic app and it’s awesome. It does weightlifting as well as cardio workouts. The animations of the workouts and highlighting of muscle or muscle groups being worked is a great app feature, allowing you to fine tune workouts to achieve your goals. Great daily and weekly stats on your workouts, as well as a detailed monthly workout report. The ability to run independently on the Apple Watch, even non-cellular models, and sync to your iPhone later, is a huge bonus. Leave your phone in your locker, when you’re not taking “vanity” photos. I highly recommend this app for beginners as well as seasoned veterans.

My doctor kept telling me (60 yd old female) to lift more heavy weights. Someone recommended this app and it has been so easy to use. I’ve gotten several other friends using the app too. I’ve used several apps to track workouts and all of them are just meh, Hevy has been consistently reliable and I’ve really enjoyed using it through my workouts! All the data tracking and achievement notices and everything else is super fun too!

I use this app constantly. It’s great for not only tracking your progress, you can use it to create and follow a plan or use one of the apps routines. Well worth the yearly subscription which is priced very reasonably for what you get.

Heavy makes it easy to get motivated to continue. The tracking is straightforward.

The free plan is great if you’re just looking for something simple, and not planning more than 4 days/wk. you can create completely customizable routines, can’t save more than 4 for free though. I rotate my routines monthly so it works fine; you just delete the old ones and create new ones. Might consider paying for it if I get more into fitness as it’s the best and easiest to use fitness routine app I’ve ever used
