Not enough clarity

I would love to love this app. But the platform feels very limited in its guidance through the stories. I find it very difficult to navigate the app and figure the types of stories, specific scenarios. It seems very one-note when searching and with the specific offerings (is it just Romance or domination ?!) from the voice actors. Also It would be nice to just find a scene you can listen to rather than commit to a whole set of stories. As well as figure out what types of actors/accents you might want like. There’s other apps that have a way better interface and a lot more navigation options that make it unlikely I’ll ever try this one again - ESPECIALLY when it’s not clear that I’m getting charged in another currency from my own when I subscribed. Annoying and too expensive !

I did the free trial you get wasn’t worth it so I cancelled it they have just gone and taken over £60 pound for a year subscription that I didn’t even set up who can afford that these days I’ve twice sent a refund plea and even explained some of the circumstances I am in at the moment and even told them that I didn’t even have the app on my phone anymore and both times they have said I’m not eligible for a refund. This is final. I just think it’s really out of order and wrong how no care was given so I would just be careful if I were you. I’ll try out the free trial because even after I cancelled it and deleted the app they still managed to take a yearly subscription from me and now they won’t give it back

I have downloaded the app, started the subscription and nothing is loading. I have tried uninstalling and re-downloading and I’ve tried contacting support, however, every time I try and get to the Dipsea site I’m BLOCKED! By my internet provider or my browser I don’t know but it’s incredibly frustrating. Please secure your site so it’s reachable and also please reach out to me so I can get some assistance with this. I’m very unhappy.
Its ok but mainly for a white audience

This app is primarily for a white audience. Don't get me wrong, there are diverse characters and I really liked the idea and I’m glad the app exists but this did bug me…
In the tag lines they will always tell you if there’s a black voice or an asian voice but the white voices are known by country of origin like Irish voices or British voices never ‘white voices’ which sounds silly right?
Also in woman/man stories when you go to look up more stories with the same actor, its only the male voice actors work that comes up….
Lastly they charged me for a year subscription without any warning. I took the L on that but damn I wish that hadn’t had happened because it made me feel less excited about using the app again
Not as inclusive as is being marketed

So I’m non-binary, and I downloaded the app because I was intrigued by the mention of genderqueer storylines. However, I was disappointed that the first-person audios (or at least the ones I’ve found) all operate under the assumption that the listener is a woman, which I understand since that is the demographic that is being targeted. But I found myself getting quickly taken out of the experience because I was being referred to with language that made me feel dysphoric. I just wish there were at least a couple of audios that were made specifically with non-binary folks in mind (i.e., addressing the listener with gender neutral language, refraining from mentioning certain body parts, etc.). Also, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way that the only non-binary voices on the app were AFAB and I didn’t see a single story that depicted a non-binary person and a man together. It’s feeding into a common misconception that all non-binary people are AFAB and only attracted to women. It seems like you’re marketing your enby voice actors as just a different flavor of lesbian, which feels disrespectful. I get it if you want an app that’s only for women, but please make that more clear in how you market.

I eventually got a notification i did not hold an account and assumed it was sorted out but have today been charged for a years subscription! Well being??? Absolutely not! I am now down £50 I can’t afford for something I won’t use!!!

Firstly, I would like to thank the Dipsea team for making an app that is fully voiceOver accessible. As a completely blind individual, I am so appreciative of the forethought that went into ensuring an optimal user experience; this is not very common, which is why it means so much to me. Dipsea has hands down the most accessible app that I have come across in this category.
I really wasn't sure what to expect when I downloaded Dipsea, and I assumed it wouldn't be for me anyway, since I never connected with sexual experiences. I definitely wasn't expecting to be so pleasantly surprised. The voice acting feels so natural, like the characters are invested in the story, in the pleasure, and also in that emotional draw. The him + you / her + you offerings have helped me get out of my head, something that I find challenging. I am learning about myself, my desires, and also learning to feel less shame around them. This app offers a feeling of safety, and some of these characters, I never knew that I needed what they offer.

I’m a subscriber to both Dipsea and Quinn, and I love both for different reasons. Quinn has a great variety and features creators you might recognize from other platforms/can follow along with on social media, etc. Dipsea is unparalleled when it comes to the production value of their audios and their focus on storytelling, and I love that they have audios with multiple voice actors to play each part. Sometimes I like to listen to the man-only POV audios and use my imagination to center myself as the woman in the scenario, but other times I want to hear the woman, as it helps stimulate my responses and more easily ride along with her reactions. Basically, if you love reading smut (booktok, I’m lookin’ at you), find yourself listening to p0rn as much as/more than watching it, don’t find the storytelling/acting in p0rn to be believable/satisfying, or just want to try something new, I cannot recommend it enough. I did a free trial and didn’t hesitate to proceed with a subscription once it ended!
I wish I knew about this app sooner!

I didn’t think I would be into this, but I’m very glad I tried it! The app is very inclusive and has a good amount of scenarios and relationship types. You have a story broken down into episodes. Episodes range from 3-10 per story and lasting 8-14 minutes each. Doesn’t seem like a long time (but it is), and some episodes are “porn intro” cringe worthy, but the quality of the recordings, the talent and believability of the voice actors more than make up for it. The voice actors on this app is PHENOMENAL!! If you’re familiar with Realm (previously Serial Box), an audio book company that focuses on production value in their audiobook recordings, Dipsea matches if not surpasses Realm in its quality and attention to detail. As with anything, there can be improvements, but the backbone of Dipsea is solid, and they have nowhere else to go but up.
So, for the possible improvements. I would love an erotic audiobook. A place where the characters are flushed out, relationships are fully explored, and the intro last more than a few minutes. I’ve only been on this app for a week, so I’m not sure how long the current format will hold my interest, but I can already tell that I want a more flushed out story. I have a feeling this may already be in the horizon, but voicing my opinion just in case!

I am non-binary. I was really enjoying this app and its promise of inclusivity. It has a good use of tags and uses really affirming language. I can see how this would be a wonderful app for women. However, when I decided to listen to a her/you track, I was misgendered, which was an unwelcome surprise. It would be really helpful if, in this section, it said what gender or pronouns the ‘you’ was designed for because it is not universal.
Overall, great app, but if you don’t use she/her pronouns I would recommend avoiding the her/you section for now.

I enjoy this very much. I listen on the way home from work and it gets me perfectly in the mood. An amazing way to be able to arrive home wet and excited for the real thing with my partner. If anything, I’d like the stories to be a bit more hotly descriptive, but that might be the writer/reader in me craving detail. Very satisfied.

I absolutely love this app for so many reasons. I had the free version for a long time and finally splurged on the full one. Omg it’s so so worth it. I literally use it everyday even if just for sleep. I listened to some of the meditations in the bath and they were amazing. I love the short books to read as well if I don’t feel like listening. I have two suggestions that I’m sure are already in progress, but I thought I’d share anyway. One, I find it a bit unrealistic that in the her+him scenarios when it’s penetrative sex, the man always orgasms and if the woman does, it’s always through penetration. It would be nice if after he orgasmed he went down on her or something. I haven’t listened to everything yet, so maybe that’s out there, but I haven’t noticed it yet. The other thing is that I would loveee to have all of this access in another language. Of course it’s not an easy process, but listening to a sexy story in Spanish or French would make me so happy. I want to say thanks to all the writers and voice actors and everyone who makes this app happen! I never really enjoyed porn until this app and it’s so so wonderful.

I’m still in my trial period, but I’m really enjoying this service so far. Audio erotica is apparently something I didn’t know I needed, and I’m ever so glad I heard an ad on a podcast for Dipsea. Some others have commented about the cost, but I’m actually glad they have a subscription fee; it means there’s a budget for good quality writers and actors. Dipsea has obviously taken this seriously and I’m impressed with what they’re doing. I especially like that the content is continually growing, and that the stories and actors are so diverse. The content can sometimes be a little too heavy on the female-adoration, I-worship-you themes, but I suppose that’s to be expected with this kind of service.
So far, I only have a couple of things I would like to see improve.
I understand that the content is aimed at women, but I would really like to have more stories narrated primarily by the male voices. I love the slightly softer, female-centric storylines, but I think those same kinds of stories would work from the male as well, sort of like the him+you Pillowtalks work now.
On that note, I love the Pillowtalks, so expansion here would really be appreciated.
Also: any chance we’ll hear more from Ronan? ;)

Love Dipsea! ♥️ The app has a great UI, beautiful aesthetic and using it is such a breeze!! I do wish that my weekly picks refreshed every week and introduce more variety, sometimes I’m not into some of them and they sit stale. Would be nice to have a hide option.
The soundscapes have become my nightly sound soother! I like how the time can be adjusted too. And the Sleepover concept is so different. Can’t wait for more content!

Wow😣 I enjoyed this soooo much. Inspired me so much for my next school report. I think I’m going to write about the joys of female ogarsms. They’re so beautiful yet not many men can get us females to. Which is quite upsetting to day the least. Thank you so much for this app . I will be listening to this everytime I go to work. While I do really enjoy the app there’s not exactly a lot of diversity in the kind of thing you’re offered. If you like men being the dominant ones this will be great for you, but as someone who enjoys bdsm from the dominant side of things, there’s pretty much nothing for me by way of male submission stories and that was a major let down
Brilliant, I love! Could be a little more inclusive

I mean, WOW. I had only recently gotten into audio-based erotica like this, but I knew it was my thing. I used a couple different sub-Reddit’s to scratch that itch but you really have to comb through those to find something that fits you. I haven’t found a single one on Dipsea I didn’t love, even some of the ones I didn’t think I’d like. The production is amazing, everyone sounds so comfortable with their lines and actions. $50/yr is basically nothing for the production value and for the wonderful writing abilities and fluid app. Even Reddit gets clunky, but I haven’t run into a single problem here. Everything feels very professionally done.
To add to that, because this is erotica after all, the stories are basically little snippets with a quick set-up and they aren’t outrageous and difficult to put yourself into. It isn’t some stranger manipulating you into something. The women are all confident and sure of what they want, both the men and women that dominate are caring and aren’t just mean for the sake of being mean, and THEY KNOW CONSENT IS SEXY, HELLO! They aren’t embarrassed to bring a toy in to mix it up, lube doesn’t drag down the mood at all (though that’s just my own insecurity talking, but it’s still so reassuring to know that it can still be used without the need to be ashamed). Ages aren’t shamed, bodies aren’t shamed (I especially love the talk of the spot where their hips meet their torso — skin isn’t talked about in a sensual manner like that and it’s SO refreshing!). Everything is so nicely worded that you can tell where they’re going, but it lets your mind fill in the blanks of what you want. I could go on and on and on but just know you have to at least try it for yourself. It’s already boosted our sex life, and I’ve only been here a day! I’ve signed up for the trial currently, but I’m definitely sticking around. ✨

This is a great app, it has given me a whole new experience of alone moments. As a visual person with a vivid imagination it works wonders.
The only thing is I wish the stories wouldn’t jump so quick from story building to the moments. And also I wish there were longer options.
Other than that, it is certainly awakening something for me that makes me feel empowered and sexy

I love this app! It’s very relaxing to listen to and honestly helps me sleep at night (when I’m not with my SO).
There’s definitely something so powerful about feeling so sexually understood if that makes sense.
I already know what I like so it’s wonderful to browse through the different stories and so exciting when I discover something new!
I highly recommend listening through really good earbuds (I use beats Powerbeats pro) for a more immersive experience.
If you want to discover more about your sexual self in a relaxing way, this is a great way to go!
My only complaint is that there aren’t enough stories! (There’s quite a few I know) I have listened to my favourites so many times over, I’m always happy when Sunday comes around and new stories are uploaded.

I could niggle about bits of the functionally here and there, but I want to put that aside and stay ‘big picture’: the content and the feeling of Dipsea is superb. My wife and I love this app. And I, hubby, even more so.
Dipsea is a delightfully different erotica experience. While I sometimes yearn for more customizable searches in Dipsea, I’m grudgingly aware that that’s the province of male-run run porn sites and likely the province of our hard-driving minutiae-obsessed male brains, period.
Dipsea goes the other way entirely, keeping the log lines and categories skimpy, thereby heightening enjoyment for the listener when they hit upon pleasant surprises. Just like in good sex, the best moments in virtual-sex (a nicer and more honest, word than ‘porn’, no?) often arrive when we are not anticipating them.
Classy, well produced, hot, imaginative, and even humorous, Dipsea has gotta be one the nicest apps on the Internet. It’s porn, but with a heart. I love curling up with it!

I think this app is a great concept. The guided sessions are excellent for individuals and for couples. The guiding voice is pretty good too. BUT they need to do more content as I do think it’s a bit pricey for what they have available. I will keep it for a bit in the hope more content will appear, hopefully in the guided session section!

I see a lot of the main (unreasonable) complaints are because the app costs $50 for the year.
This is a relatively new app creating original content. Great stories, great production. Stuff like that costs money. You pay the voice actors and the equipment and the writers and it's ridiculous to believe that people's especially women's hard work be free. I have been on this app since February and it's get better every day (probably because people like me felt $50 wasn't to much for quality) I use the app regularly and I'm never sorry for paying. There is a lot garbage out there you can get for free and welcome to but if you have any respect for people's work and understand good things cost money Dipsea is work quite frankly a very measly price if you can afford it which I'm sure most you can. Like any service (restaurant, hair, nails) you get you have to pay and sometimes tip and if it's not in the cards right now maybe it's not for you.
This a wonderful app and deserves all the support it can get. I'm not going anywhere.
Onto something...

I really like the idea of this app.
I feel like most of the sex education I have received from the North American culture, within which I’m immersed, is very male centred. The narratives are often directed by stereotypical male ideas of what sex should entail, and frequently, I feel unfulfilled by these.
Enter Dipsea.
I I feel like I struggle with asking for what I want in bed, so I really like being exposed to alternative narratives from a female’s perspective, written and created by women. Mainstream porn is not really my thing. I can’t really get off on it. Too unrealistic, too rushed, too penetration focused. I really like the lead-up, and hearing women speak their truth of what they want from a sexual encounter, in an assertive way. It’s like a new form of sex education for me where I get to hear what it’s like for a woman to ask for and get sexual pleasure and fulfillment, and then I get to take those learning with me in my own adventures. I feel a sense of empowerment from listening to these stories, and encouragement to be more assertive and explicative of what I want, within my own sexual encounters and relationships.
I really like the idea of guided sexual meditations/exploratory sessions for self, as well as for a couple. However, there was no free option available to try.
The voice actors are okay. A lot of the time I can’t fully get into the storyline because the acting isn’t convincing enough for me. Other times I feel like the narration can be a little rushed (eg: “Salty”). I want there to be more pause between the sentences so my body can catch-up and have a chance to react to the new thing that just happened in the storyline (eg: moving from one body part to the next).
Overall I’m not sure if I will pay for a subscription. I don’t feel like there were enough episodes for free in order for me to get a good enough handle on whether or not these would work for me.
I feel like offering a week, or a month (month would create more reliance on the app and likely more subscribers) of all content would help me get a better understanding o whether or not a Dipsea subscription would be worthwhile for me. I think I’d be more comfortable subscribing and I would be more likely to subscribe if I felt secure in knowing that yes, these audio sessions have worked for me, and I have to opportunity to be exposed to more variety and thus yearn for more similar content.
Thanks very much Dipsea for putting in the effort to create this app. I’m looking forward to seeing how you grow over the next while and I’ll be keeping tabs on the new episodes, as I suss-out whether or not it will be worth it for me to subscribe.
Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in further feedback. I’m really excited about this concept!

However I wish there was a little more free content. I would consider subscribing if I knew it would be worth it. Also if the monthly subscription came with a seven day feee trial. The app quality seems great though
