Why can’t you set flow rate for home button? Only way hand wand works is with max flow. Max flow pushes water out of shower area. Home button default can only be set in app and doesn’t allow to adjust flow rate. Favorites set on actual shower device can be set at lower flow, but not the app. User experience was forgotten in developing this app

While this app appears to be stable , that’s about it for positive reviews. This app adds very little value for the digital Anthem+ controller for the shower. Needs more features and functionality besides a menu bar of your preset favorites.

Utter garbage app. Have a “smart” faucet with the stupid box below that they’ve had to send a new one to me with the exact same issue. Won’t connect, and the one time it does (one in a billion chance), it disconnects, doesn’t respond via app, nor voice commands. Good luck to anyone trying to purchase a smart device from Kohler. Going back to Moen.

As contractors we have installed the Anthem shower controller for our customers as well as in our own bathroom. The app connectivity is useless. It goes offline every few weeks, requiring you to disconnect then reconnect the controller to the app which also deletes all historical usage data. We no longer recommend this system to customers as Kohler fails to deliver a working app, which is necessary for firmware updates btw.

The app is frustrating to say the least. Constantly logs you out, even though they’ve added Face ID the app randomly forget its credentials and the remembered password in the phone has to be looked up because it’s not matching the app name. This smart shower only integrates with the app and nothing else. No way of setting up mood lights starting fans turning on tile warmers or 100+ other items that I’d like it to be connected to. The feature of pulling up hot water to the fixture is either on or off in the settings and not a function that can be called upon when needed. It obviously has the capability so just add the button next to the start button. And if you do set it up so that you want hot water pulled to the fixture and you turned the water off while soaking up then it will perform the purge again next time you turn the water on and automatically stop when the temperature finally gets to where you want to be, beyond frustrating! Presets preinstalled in the app supposedly has time limits, each of them says 10 minutes, but if I want to make my own, let’s say pull my water from the far and distant hot water heater I can’t set the time on it… Great opportunities for improvements, and when I see them I’ll update this review. Update after answer: So I bought a product that was supposed to be HomeKit capable. Kohler removes the capability and when I mention the shortcoming in my review above their answer is please buy our newer product. I’ll let you make up your own mind…

Logs me out constantly. I’ve stopped using it because step 1 is almost always “try to log in, reset credentials, try to log in again, update app, log in for real.” Between that and HomeKit support being claimed but not actually working, Kohler is utterly failing iOS users (from a professional software engineer and iOS developer).

The Kohler smart valve is 100x dumber than the Moen version. The in-app alerts are vague and basic. You can enable push notifications but they don't work. Randomly shuts itself off and won't provide details why.

The Numi 1.0 toilet had a fantastic dedicated remote controls And now Kohler cut its hardware costs and tried to design an app for the Numi 2.0. It’s an epic failure. For a $10,000 toilet, this app needs a lot of work.

Terrible app. Logs me out every single day, then takes forever to load after logging back in. DOESN’T give any push notification warnings prior to auto shut off of the entire water system, so I have no opportunity to identify the water in use and confirm it isn’t a leak. It just shuts off the water. Then I have to log back in, wait forever for it to load, and then turn the water back on. The system STILL HASN’T learned my water use after a year of use and manual identification of water events. What do I like about this product? NOTHING.

I bought a Kohler faucet because it was advertised on their website and on the packaging I received that it could use Apple Home for voice command commands. After multiple calls to their Konnect support over several weeks, they finally admitted that this feature was discontinued months ago. Beware anyone buying a Kohler faucet wanting to connect it to Apple Home, you cannot. I sure hope Kohler gets their act together on this and brings back this integration. Kohler is having to refund my money for this faucet now.

I agree that this toilet is indeed a giant failure. I had the same gateway issue. The hardest thing about provisioning is that you have to have your WIFI Access point very close tot he toilet for the first time… like the DTV+ shower. I had to have a 100’ cable running thru my house to the Numi’s and DTV+.. YES you read RIGHT, I have TWO of these toilets. Once they connected I could put away my 100’ cable and spare AP. What is the WORST is that what house has only ONE person living in the house ? We have no way to have presets for my husband and I . On top of that ..I am told by the Kholer support and folks at Ferguson, that you use your phone to setup the way you like it , then if a guest or like the previous person said you wake up at 2am to use the loo and use the remote… your settings are GONE. It’s awful and I have 2 of these thinking they would be novel and fun. I am told there is an update coming but no one knows when. Ferguson will not take the toilets back either .. they are super expensive to not have this capability. Really DISAPPOINTED.

While I view the many misspelled words in the app and on the shower controller as a sign of how little attention went into detail, I can ultimately get past that. Where the bigger struggle lies is in trying to navigate what is a very convoluted set up that makes very little sense. Take, for instance, setting up a new device. In my case, it’s the Anthem controller+ that does shower valves and the steam shower, supposedly with different zone temperature and valve capabilities. I say, supposedly because the zone feature doesn’t work. But that’s not even the biggest issue with the app. If you use the QR code on the screen of the shower controller to connect the device, it doesn’t add it to the app, even though to do so using the QR code first requires downloading the app and setting up an account. Instead, if you go to the QR route instead of clicking “add device” from your app, you have to go into the shower controller screen, and then click through the controller’s menu to connect to the app. At that point you enter a PIN in the app the corresponds to the pin on the controller screen, though I later figured out you can set a PIN instead of regenerating a new one every time. (Don’t ask me how…I stumbled upon that somewhere in some screen and have no clue how to get back to it.) Entering the PIN then opens a webpage from inside the app where you do some clicking around, and then it will actually add the device to the app so you can control the device in the app instead of having to go to that webpage every time. You also basically get one shot at setting up favorites in the app. Beyond that, you are best off saving favorites from the controller screen, which then saves to the app, at which point you can then rename the favorite. Because you can’t name it from the controller screen itself. Also, what you set up as your settings for the zones in the app doesn’t carry to the controller screen. You’re supposed to be able to do two different zones with different temperatures and different water features. Yet, no matter what you set in the app, it doesn’t show on the screen. It all just shows the same temperature for both zones. The other fun is that you have one chance at setting up the outlet numbers to the correct water valve. If you get it wrong, you have to do a factory reset. That’s what the app directs you to do anyway. But it never tells you how to do it, nor is there the option for a reset available in the controller screen menus. And, when you click on the homeowner’s manual link in the app, it just leads to a webpage that constantly refreshes and never actually loads. However, thanks to Reddit and ChatGPT, plus a frustrating amount of time, I learned that to do a factory reset you go to the power module unit, where there is a tiny red button hidden underneath it. You hold that for 15 seconds and it resets the machine. You then have to delete the app, and then also delete the device from your recognized Bluetooth settings. And then you have a chance to go back to reassign the correct valve to the correct outlet number. Otherwise, if you select the default “Diagram B” instead of “Custom”, you just have to pray that your plumber knew what diagram B is, and connected the valves accordingly. I don’t see how they possibly could know that based on the limited info in the instructions, so the easiest is to just select custom in the first place and don’t go with what they put in as default. The app was very clearly developed and tested solely by developers and engineers. It did not go through any sort of user experience testing, nor true quality control. All of that is abundantly apparent. And it makes it such that you have to wonder what Kohler was thinking in putting out this terrible of an app that does nothing to paint their brand in a positive light. It feels like they hired a bunch of junior developers to piece something together all in the interest of cost savings—not effectiveness, accuracy, or ease of use. And that’s coming from someone who actually knows a thing or two on the tech front. I cannot possibly imagine my parents trying to set this up.

I had a Numi 1. Bought a Numi 2 at new house. It has been nothing but a pain. You could do everything with the wall mounted remote. Now you have to use an iphone or pad, download KohlerKonnect, try to find the steps to Konnect.It doesn’t work.

Seems capable, but I’m stuck. I can’t enter my state (MN) and therefore can’t continue. No way around it, so my device is useless. Rebooting the app, deleting and reinstalling didn’t help. :(

This toilet has nothing but problems the first problem was the toilet was sold with an out of date gateway. I was told a certificate expired and they needed to send a repair person out to replace the new toilet. I spent over an hour on the phone with a different service people and provision the toilet,, come to find out you couldn't do that with a promax iPhone. After working with all those issues and getting through that the toilet continually loses it Connection to Wi-Fi and of course they decided to have most of your controls on your not on the remote that sits right next to your commode on the wall. But then again, of course everyone who's going to the bathroom at two in the morning will bring their phone with them so they can control functions of their toilet What knucklehead were designed something like this without testing it in the market

Just installed a Kohler shower. Kohler Services installed. This app cannot find my WiFi or Bluetooth. Customer Service not much help. Did the same procedure making sure my WiFi was 2.5 GhZ, but still doesn’t work. Update: Kohler has reached out and is in process of trying to fix the problem..will update further if the problem is solved

We purchased 2 Numi 2.0s. They have not been able to connect to our phones at all and all the functions HAVE to go through this stupid app that won’t connect to our WiFi. Customer support advised us to have android devices instead of iPhones lol. Luckily our friend had one, they tried to set it up, still didn’t work. Customer support then said we needed to have a 2.4ghz internet. Our internet is 5G only. We spent half a day messing around with the WiFi, when we finally got 2.5ghz to appear toilet wouldn’t connect to iPhone or android. It amazes me we can spend $20k on toilets but we can’t even use the functions it comes with. They need to release either a remote tablet upgrade where all functions can be used without this app, or they need to take back their toilets and figure out a solution that will get them to connect so we can’t use what we paid for. Luckily the other 3 smart toilets in the house off of Amazon have controllers and not an app so we can actually use our $600 toilets which turns out to be better quality.

This is the third and worst Numi I’ve purchased. I kept buying these once wonderful and luxurious appliances because the bidet/toilet combo was gorgeous and so was the controller. The Numi controller was nicer than my iPhone. With the old digital controller that had big bright icons, I could get into the guts of the Numi in order to program it exactly the way I wanted. I was also able to close the flush valve and use the Numi as a standalone bidet, but no longer. One cannot do that on this app. Kohler has ruined the Numi. Not only did they take away the beautiful controller, they’re forcing Numi owners to bring their cellphones into the toilet area. The last place I want my cellphone, is somewhere where it can fall into a toilet! Not only did Kohler change their once gorgeous controller into a very difficult to use, ugly round— non-digital paperweight, the app for the Numi does not function anywhere close to the beautiful digital controller that used to come with the Numi. Nor does the app feature all the options the digital controller offered. You can’t close the flush valve and use the Numi as a standalone bidet, you can’t program when you want the self cleaning to start. Goodbye programming of multiple users. There are also so many things that you cannot do with the app that was available with the original gorgeous controller, that Kohler did away with. However, this review is too long already. After buying two previously wonderful Numis, I’m sending this one back. I’m disgusted with Kohler and whoever designed this app and redesigned the very ugly and useless controller. SHAME ON YOU KOHLER!! Basically — the Numi is a story of riches to rags. If ZERO stars was a rating, that’s what I’d give this 2024 Kohler Numi and the KohlerKonnect app. If anyone is thinking about buying a Numi— you’re better off getting anything else! Trust me, and this bears repeating — I’ve bought three of them, and the Numi 2.0 is GARBAGE and so is the controller it comes with and this app!!

Purchased the Kohler Numi 2.0 smart toilet for $9,000. Toilet not connecting to app, therefore, not able to experience the full benefits. Contacted customer service 5 times in 3 days and no one has a solution to fix the connectivity issues from toilet to app. Without app, not able to lower air dryer temperature or customize any of the wash features. Very disappointed with Kohler customer service. I do not recommend the purchase of such an overpriced toilet with little to no customer service help in the event you have an issue.

The app will not connect to my Kohler product. I cannot configure my shower profiles without using the app. So the app is not an optional thing, it is required to have full use of my product. When Wi-Fi set up fails, no diagnostic information is displayed to help you diagnose the problem. Part of the process to reset the product after set up failure is to unplug it for 20 seconds. This is absurd, surely you can reset the hardware without manually unplugging the product! A terrible and frustrating customer experience. I will not recommend Kohler products to anyone based on my experience here.

This device is a disaster. Water shuts off and there is no clear way to turn it on. I changed the email and found out the device had to be reset up. This is not a software company.

When there are power outages which happen often and on every year by P G & E, device goes offline then cannot be restarted. The WiFi works but the Kohler Knnet App cannot connect to the device no matter what we try, powering on & off, pressing the back button 6 times, etc.

The “smart” water shutoff frequently shuts off the water when we have guests or friends over for dinner. This would be fine but the app is always logged out and so we don’t get a notification and then it has 15 “data loading” spinners before I am able to get to the water on button — pretty embarrassing when someone is trying to shower or flush a toilet

I have owned this mirror for over three years and the Kohler Konnect interaction with Alexa is terrible. I’ve called Kohler three times and nobody can resolve the issue. Will not play music consistently. Terrible product!

This app and dtv product is almost a scam. What a joke. Spent around 7k on my shower alone. Got the kohler Konnect 3 weeks ago. Worked for about a day. Now when I go into app and push “start” it does not turn on shower. I am running version 13.3.1 on my iPhone. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

When this baby works, there’s nothing better. I set it up through my Alexa and can turn my whole bathroom setup (lights, fans, showers) from anywhere in the house, which is fantastic because the controller is a 6 port valve that is located on the back wall of our massive enclosure housing 2 showers and a freestanding tub. I love that I don’t have to be in the bathroom, nor inside my shower, to turn it on and warm it up. Where the issue lies is that at least 1-2x a week, the KohlerKonnect app is offline. I used to screw around on the controller reprogramming it but I’ve realized it needs to be rebooted every time, which for me is a trip downstairs, and then outside around my house into a storage room where the contractors ran my plumbing and electrical for our primary bathroom addition that was just completed 8 months ago. Not a fun thing to do when you just want to take a shower at 5:30am. I would end up turning it on inside the shower and trying to remember to reset it (hopefully before my husband takes a shower so I don’t have to hear him also complaining about this controller). I just recently decided to add a smart plug in that storage room to plug in my KohlerKonnect, so I no longer have to go outside to reboot it—that has made my life far easier, BUT it should not have come to these work arounds. It should just work! Do I think it should never have problems and work perfectly every day? No, but this issue should not occur a few times a week. Also, I have a friend who has this app and has the exact same issue of it being offline, so clearly it’s a flaw in the execution of this system. It’s a shame because it really could be great.

Please understand that I don’t want to be forced to update an app before I can turn on my shower in the morning. I just want to go about my normal routine and deal with updates after I am ready to face the day. In addition the app does not honor the shower head selection on start up. I have a wand and rain head shower. I have wand selected for the start up option. But the app always turns on both. This wouldn’t be too much of an issue except that the rain head reservoir doesn’t purge all of the initial cold water during the warmup interval. So this means that by the time I am able to turn off the rain head outlet I have cold water that will drip on me as I use the other outlet.

We just bought a house that has original Numi 1.1 toilets. There is no app support for a connected device. That should be a ten minute project for the developers. Now the toilets are e-waste with no support on them. Smart devices are a pain as they get older and lose support. I might buy a Kohler toilet to replace them but not likely a smart device. My frustration comes from all of the manufacturers doing the same thing by dropping devices from more modern apps when there is no technical reason to do so. They are still out there and running but they start to fail and can’t be fixed with 10$ in hardware store parts. The battery can’t be replaced in the remote, only a new replacement remote which no longer exists can control the units (other than buttons on the side) leaving a subpar experience. Perhaps an upgrade set to modernize old smart systems rather than a whole new toilet. Software can continue to connect to old devices, it is lazy and non core to the company to leave out support. If there are only 10 customers left to support, I get it, but I don’t know that, only the company does.

Had a H2wise installed in my home and went through think stall process using the app and it refuses to connect. No wonder the reviews are so bad. I want my $1000 back. How can a brand like Kohler put such crap in the market.

A Bluetooth speaker shower head, should not have as part of installation instructions to load an app. It’s a Bluetooth speaker. Big fan of the Kohler products, but this seems a bit unneeded. Should be an addendum if planning on using the Konnect to manage the house ‘smart’ Kohler ecosystem.

Please save your money as this app/system is the most poorly designed ever. We have had this system for almost three years and Kohler cannot fix the App losing connection with the control box/WiFi Module. All have been replaced and we even added a dedicated Kohler 2.4Ghz WiFi SSID per Kohlerms worthless tech support’s request. The only way to establish App/Control Module reconnection is via power cycling the unit which is completely ridiculous and an obvious design flaw. We would have expected much more for the cost and reputation of Kohler brand. Shame on Kohler.

This review includes the dev+. This app is the only way to turn on our devices because the presets aren’t showing the devices we have in the system and the app won’t connect because there is not a Wi-Fi option to select. That is step 1 in the apps instructions. We have an elaborate system and no way to turn it on!

This has to be the slowest, most unstable app I’ve ever used, and naturally after spending $500+ on the device, the company is seemingly just going to let it stagnate with no updates or support. I love the functionality of the device itself, being able to see our overall water use and having emergency shutoff, but the app needs a complete overhaul. It just doesn’t seem to be “learning” any of the fixtures, particularly toilets, which after a month surely it should be able to identify as something that is so consistent. It’s exhausting going in and trying to “teach” it every single thing that has run during the day when you can’t narrow it down to just things like washer/dishwasher that are understandably more challenging to detect. It’s also frustrating that while you can see your gallon use per fixture on each day, you can’t see an overall monthly usage of how much each fixture is using or the percentage, for example, to see the washing machine used X gallons for the month.

I just installed an Anthem shower controller and the firmware update relentlessly fails. I called support and they said to split my Wi-Fi router into separate SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz which I did and connected to 2.4G only. Same failure. The system downloads the install package and then reboots and after a long pause the app reports failure to install. I wish I had just purchased physical valves as I can see this will be a constant problem.

We got the Kohler DTV system in March 2020. It has been an absolute nightmare. Do not get this system unless you are ready for it to be constantly going out. The new system is expensive, and the company that they have told us to call for problems (“Happy Tubs” in Dallas) charges us at least $800 a visit just to look at the thing; that does not include parts. And today it has gone out yet again. What a huge waste of money, and time. I deeply regret buying this, and you will too, if you decide to get it.

I can not find any troubleshooting or manual reference for when the phone app says “product is offline”. Wifi is up, internet is up, unplugged everything, replugged it in, rebooted router and cable modem, but nothing has worked.

The main selling feature of the shower system was to be able to control it from the app. It is beyond disappointing and they should absolutely not be allowed to advertise that you can use the app for the shower. We’ve had our system installed for 6 months and the app has functioned for a combined 3 weeks of that. Just appalling. Now it won’t even allow us to sign in - horrendous. Don’t waste your money!!

The reason for the one star review is because the app is useless. You can’t not even add the faucet to the app or HomeKit. I did follow all the instructions and I tried with several devices and it won’t connect. It does not get pass the “connecting with product” message. It is like an endless loop. No matter how many times you restart the faucet, create a new account, or delete and reinstall the app. I hope they come with a solution soon. It is really disappointing.

Everything is working now as it’s should, even Alexa. I’d like to see an option to start Spa experiences from the app. It’s sometimes hard to see when the steam is ready outside the shower and the app letting me know would be great. Thanks for fixing the issues!

I bought this in May of 2021. The app worked but kept disconnecting. I improved my internet connection across my home and everything worked butter, but Kohler Konnect stopped working. The company sent me a new circuit board but that didn’t work either. They told me to wait for an App update and I did. It worked! Then it “lost internet connection” so I tried to re-add it. No luck on either circuit board after multiple attempts. I’ll contact the company again but this piece of garbage has no business being on the market, especially for an escalated price.

Went through the app flow at least 10 times; it just won’t finish the setup process for my faucet, no matter what. Not sure if it’s always been this way or if a recent update broke it. If you are considering buying a Kohler product for the smart features, I recommend that you consider carefully.

What the heck have you done to the volume control?!?!?!I have to swipe MULTIPLE times left or right to turn the volume all the way down or up. As a UX designer myself (20+ years now), I can’t believe this design would pass any legitimate usability testing. This radial dial you’ve introduced is atrocious to use; please return to the previous volume control style at the very least.
