Can no longer lock clients to AP’s with the app, nor unblock them either- have to use the web client to do both those things. Also the app does not connect to the cloud controller when on cellular / mobile data. Just says “no internet connection “ despite there being a strong 5G one. Have to use WiFi to connect and administer the cloud controller, which is assuming your WiFi (which the cloud controller manages) is working and you’re not away from the premises.

All this time sort ordering whether devices or clients, have been based on ascending order. For the last week or so, has been in descending order. What’s changed? Sent to suggested email but no reply yet. Thanks.

I configured my EAP 245 using the Omada app and accidentally blocked a device, which is now listed under “Clients > Restricted” as “Blocked.” However, there is no option to unblock it, as the app does not provide a clickable option. It seems the developers may have overlooked adding an unblock feature, which is quite frustrating.

Even though my iphone is connected to the omada’s wifi ssid, the app says no omada devices found on the LAN. The access point works excellent but this software fails to be usefull

This app keeps on asking to consent spying on your privacy data. We bought this wifi equipment for our convenience but now the developer and TP-link wants to use your privacy and usage data. Meaning the violate your privacy!!! If you want to keep using this app you have to consent? This is against all privacy law! Next time I will use a wire for my internet link. Disgusting TP-link shame on YOU!!!!

Cloud management stoped working with the OC200 controller. It can only be managed locally now. Feels like a right moment to switch to a different brand, especially after reading the review from GLVTNL.

One thing that’s really annoying is the lack of ability to clear all logs without manually selecting each one. I get thousands of log entries and if I want to clear them, I’d literally have to checkmark each one of them. Please add a ‘Clear all’ function.

I’m writing this because since Omada updated for phone it keeps locking out cloud services and access. Phone version is broken after days of same having to reset everything as it works for a few day then locking out says ip isn’t what was set since update has known bugs it has broken more than they fixed. Laptop is needed to set and lock ip I set. But everything keeps get knocked out since update. Before update was working find did not even have to go in and set up things. Now it’s nearly every day now it locks me out of my own controller. What happened TP-LINK please fix faster then you normally fix bugs that crashes the whole system was great once now swam gone backwards and I have business grade hardware. As to-link 50 5g WiFi 6 has a paid wall that you have no control over. Basic levels lower with less settings but you can pay more more settings for security and privacy. So much for to link worse thank you Netgear

Hey 👋 I am using apple and hardware controller. I do not see most of the features highlighted here. Like, no statistics page, no access to manage VPN from mobile etc. What is wrong?

This app is far from able to setup and control the tp-link network devices. For example I just spent two weeks going back and forth woth to-link support trying to setup VLAN on an SG2008 V3 switch. After hours and many emails, their support person suggested I use a browser to log into the SG2008 directly. Then I could set up the VLAN. I just re read the tp-link description provided here on the App Store. No where does it state that is for only minor setup as their support person stated. Shame on tp-link. So much for commercial quality products. Doesn’t their marketing department realize that having a poor performing app is going to lead to much discontent among its customer base?

Yet *another* app that forces you into portrait mode. As a productivity user who has Omada as a home setup, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I tend to use my iPad with a keyboard and typically have my iPad in landscape mode. Unfortunately Apple provides no way to force the rotation of apps made for iPad. Ironically, I can do it for iPhone so I’d rather have the iPhone version of this app than the iPad one but I have no choice to do that too. Leaving a star since I appreciate that they built the app, but it’s so annoying to use; only slightly less so than their web app on iPad. It’s a good web app too, but yet again, poor optimization for iPad.

I have no idea why this doesn’t work with the TL-R605 security gateway. The device is good but let down by the very poor integration of control. The only way to control locally is web based because of zero support for Mac’s. Very short sighted in 2021. Come on TP-Link. I thought that you actually wanted to be a competitive brand and not just a low cost clone hardware company. Guess not.

A aplicação é muito boa, uso muito no iPhone e no Mac, mas quando passo no iPad encontro uma mera réplica do app para iphone, uma pena quando poderiam ter muitas funcionalidades avançadas que tem somente no web, e sobretudo uma visualização horizontal que para mim seria perfeita. Uso iPad Pro com teclado e uso a modalidade horizontal como padrão. Por gentileza aguardo atualizações significativas para iPad.

Nostante 3.2.16 si dica che l’aggiornamento supporti la funzione in oggetto qui in Italia l’ora legale non viene supportata questo fa sballare tutte le schedulazioni impostate. Aggiornare!!!

Da qualche mese la prima connessione al controller fallisce. Al secondo tentativo va a buon fine. Ho più controller in posti diversi e il problema si presenta su tutti.

Assurdo che un prodotto scaricabile dall’app store iOS, poi per essere sfruttato al meglio necessità di Microsoft! Le funzionalità dell’app senza averla configurata da un computer Windows sono minime. Una stella solo per questo, altrimenti avrei dato anche 4. Fate l’EAP Controller anche per Mac!!!

Love this app! One feature I’d really like to see is the ability to manage ACLs directly from the app. That would be a fantastic addition.

Been using the Omada App for our project deployments in Malaysia. So far very stable and responsive. Remote access and monitoring save us a lot of time when supporting clients. Recommended for serious business networking.

Very convenient to deploy for customer and use it, but the app itself has frequent disconnection and doesn’t show the controller a lot of times, product built is good but the app needs more work, also please add widgets it becomes convenient to get a snapshot.

Really pleased with the functionality and the modern UI. Haven’t encountered any issues so far.

App melhorou absurdamente, tanto em novas funcionalidades (que só tinham na web), e também está muito mais rápido.

Wir nutzen tp-link sowohl privat, als auch geschäftlich und wir sind äußerst zufrieden. Sehr leicht einzurichten und bisher immer stabil. Auch mit dem Support haben wir nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Weiter so!

The Omada Controller App is great for managing my network, both locally and while away. The most recent version update has brought some great features, and the ability to see how my entire network is running from router to switches, to WiFi access points is fantastic. As they have gone to all the trouble to include all the graphs and statistics, I am scratching my head a little over why there is no longer any graphs for switch traffic, not even on the individual switches Statistics page. And the only list of switches traffic is a Top Five only. An oversight I hope they will correct in a future update.

Il sistema Omada migliora piano piano, rispetto ad un paio di anni fa é decismante più potente. Resta una grande lacuna, almeno per me: uno strumento di diagnostica avanzato, per esempio per il wifi. Ho avuto diversi problemi dovuti ad interferenze con altri dispositivi nelle vicinanze, ma l’ho potuto accertare con strumenti terzi, non con la piattaforma Omada. E questa è una grave lacuna secondo me. Altra cosa: sarebbe utile poter avere un controllo che simuli la caduta della connessione WAN principale per poter testare il meccanismo di failover.

I’ve only recently decided to upgrade from the standard ISP home hub as I wanted a more resilient network at home so I can brake my main network it small subnets, make the network more secure, separate my devices and keep visitors out of my main network on an internet only guest connection. After researching I found that TP-Link offered what I was looking for and was very cost effective to implement. The Omada App topped off my decision to go with TP-Link, as it offered me a way to remotely manage my network on the go. Absolutely worth it, Absolutely recommend for anyone who is considering making their home or small business network more secure, efficient and want to have remote management on the go.

Please add an icon representing NAS and include the manufacturer name 'QNAP' in the Omada app and Omada Cloud Management interface.

The app has always been fantastic and an easy way to manage my devices. Recent updates of the app has meant I have lost access to the AP’s and need to spend an unnecessary amount of time researching how to get them connected again. It should be seamless and if there are changes, this should be highlighted during the app update to ensure the customer’s network remains accessible.

First time using this brand. I setup a cloud control in minutes added an AP. Seamless and easy

Die App finde ich gut. Läuft stabil, und ist leicht zu bedienen. Ein wenig Potential nach oben ist aber schon noch vorhanden. Z.B. wenn man den Teilnehmern eine feste IP-Adresse zuweisen möchte, kann die aktuelle nicht übernommen werden, und sie muss immer komplett eingetragen werden. Oder ich habe die Bedienung nicht verstanden.

It’s really a fantastic application which helps me a lot in managing my 5EAPs along with Switches Controller for my business. I recommend everyone to use this for easy and powerful setup.

Nice app to have for omada users, just need few more network tools then it would be cool!

I like how the information is laid out. But definitely would like to see more instead of logging into the web based controller each time. Also would like to choose custom icons to better organize the device list.

Interface is easy to use and manage my devices, but the app drops connection to my local controller a lot and always needs to reconnect. Can be frustrating to use and I need to switch over to the full web interface for most features.

I have been selling clients on the Omada system. I’ve been using it long enough to enjoys the updates and how simple it really is to get many antennas setup so quickly. Yes, to do more advanced setups you must use the web browser but that is understandable. Omada has my vote! I am a previous Unifi user that was always wanting a simpler approach for my clients to manage themselves.

I get that the Cloud is “the” main source for controlling our Omada networks but considering Apps are a primary go-to (and much quicker) for most people, I’d like to see some more functionality in the App. Port management / forwarding, and client-specific configuration settings (vpn, assign to AP, etc) would be nice. Bigger issue is Omada’s feature to force a client to an AP doesn’t work at all (yet), even though the cloud lets you do so, and this makes you think it works. I’d also like see better reporting capabilities on internet bandwidth usage by client. You can kinda do it, but it’s not as easy as selecting a date range and sorting all clients by downloads or uploads, and I can’t tell if that’s just internet or if it includes internal traffic (which I’m not concerned about as much). All that said TP Link does great work, and updates/improves their firmware continually which is Excellent. The Omada system offers something nobody else does for a small/mid business in a way that is scalable (costs and technical skill dependent). Keep it up!

Deze app is voor mijn in 1 opzicht goed.

The app used to be slightly better in a sense that when you used to only have open your controller. Now I have to select the controller, then select what site… I only have one network so it’s always ‘default’ for me, why can’t it automatically open this network for me? Annoying. Also if I leave the app for more than a couple of seconds it takes me all the way back to the start. Again, annoying.

Probably one of the best investments I’ve made. Price is very reasonable for the hardware, and the mobile app is pretty decent and always stable. For almost two years never had any problems with it

The app is getting better but Im sure many of us that may use an iPad with a keyboard for administration through the app would love that it supported landscape mode. This is a simple win that would be greatly appreciated. We all welcome frequent and consistent updates. If there is a feedback area to request these enhancements we would love to know. Thanks!

App is oké, works quite intuitively, but there are some glitches: 1. No rotation or landscape orientation, real annoying especially when using a key-pad. 2. When you want to sign-up for cloud-access in the App, the pop-screen enlarges so that text and input fields run of the grid and are no longer clearly visible 3. a bit of topic, regards cloud-access. Please, add two-step authentication 4.-999. Please add, landscape orientation!

Everything works pretty smooth obviously it lacks more management tools as far as configurations for each access point, of course the web based version is more advanced but if they keep adding features from the web based it’ll be perfect, tremendous customer support

Die App ist wirklich gut, schön und bisher auch zuverlässig. Ich fände es wirklich toll wenn die IPad Unterstützung verbessert werden würde. Aktuell lässt sich die App leider nur im Hochformat anzeigen.

A parte il fatto che non trova il mio AP, nonostante sia compatibile e appena fatto il factory reset per scollegarlo dal computer dove era connesso precedentemente, il cloud access continua ad andare offline anche se l’AP è effettivamente funzionante

We have a busy home network, two of us work from home and way too many IOT devices :-) ... the standard wifi from our ISP was not up to the task. Now with two EAP225s and the OM200 my wireless connections are almost as fast to the outside works as wired devices! And with this app I can take calls from my partner or kid wherever I am, log into the OM200 and fix problems... I look like super dad... and my family no longer complains that my clients get better support than they do :-)

The “APs” function doesn’t show the radio channels and utilisations anymore. Also you cannot configure the “Radio” and “WLAN Group” settings from the App. It says ‘Operation failed. Please check network connection and try again.’

Mir ist ein POE Injector ausgefallen und ich habe es erst spät bemerkt und es für eine schlechte Internetverbindung gehalten. Das passiert mit nicht nochmal, ab sofort habe ich mein Netzwerk komfortabel unter Kontrolle. Habe nur 3 APs und will nur noch einen weiteren für den Garten, aber die benötigte Hardware ist mit 65€ so günstig, dass es auch für den interessierten Privatnutzer Sinn ergeben kann. Die Statistiken finde ich sehr spannend, die App einfach zu bedienen. Bin zufrieden und hoffe die App wird lange am Leben gehalten.

I never write reviews, compelled to this time. Firstly because this equipment is actually incredible, I’m referring to the EAP245 + controller and managed switch. I have several APs all managed via the controller and Omada software. Having access to view and manage on my phone is a bonus. However, you would expect quite a few limits with the mobile app vs the browser. Not really you can do an awful lot with this app and not once has it given me an error or instability. Stability and uptime is what you need in any network and for the price this suite of products and software is unbeatable.

Funziona perfettamente, fa il suo lavoro egregiamente , comunque considerato il fatto che lo uso per gestire le connessioni di rete domestica serverebbe la possibilità di rinominare gli users, a mio dire molto utile. Chissà magari se qualcuno mi ascolta...

Wir verwalten rund 50 APs und die App macht, was sie soll. Jetzt noch Zugriff auf den Hotspot Manager und es wäre nicht zum aushalten.
