The application itself is fine, the Grok AI is pretty good but Grok Imagine is a poor shadow of what it could be. Zero transparency so user doesn’t know what current limits are - this no doubt by design is so they can restrict limits further whenever they need to. Then there’s the ever increasing moderation. The same prompt will work one day, then not the next, then a few hours later will work again, then it’ll get insta-moderated, then it’ll work. Zero consistency and EVERY attempt counts against your usage, even those insta-moderated for no reason whatsoever. Good luck working on an adult themed project as you’re never told why your attempt was moderated, just told to think of another idea. So, again, zero transparency. My advice is to use a different AI service, ChatGPT’s image quality is far superior in every way - larger images, better quality, more detail. Let this one die as the Devs haven’t a clue what they’re doing.

I love Grok, but now the Imagine is only bit worth paying for. Rex’s voice has been murdered.

Total waste of money. Over moderated and very restrictive to lower tier users. If this isn’t for free don’t use it.

Quite put out that only 5 a day on a paid supergrok lite plan per 24hours. Don’t waste your money. They done nothing in response or put it right….

When Grok 1st came out it was fun to use, & although imperfect, had promise, but now the standard features are behind subscribe to use. Which makes the occasional user not bother, & use other more accurate AI sources

Good initially but these days the free service is constantly throttled and features are hidden by paywall. At many points it’s literally unusable for simple things like say asking for jokes on a topic. It literally will refuse to do anything as there is 'high demand' very often. Even if it’s the first request in 24 hours, so it’s not even about overuse. Disappointing.

Shakes the begging cup then blocks the user for 24hrs for not buying.....appalling app with scam plans all designed to milk you for a below standard service that does a whole lot of f all

I had previously review at 3 ⭐️, but have dropped it all the way down as I’m so annoyed with Grok’s consistency of making mistakes and inability to correct even when prompted. Today is Sunday 14th June. Silver last traded at $68.0009. However grok gave an update of silver price and gave its update as the 10th June and Silver @ $64. I prompted that Grok has the date wrong by several days and the trading price is also not up to date. It replied: “Acknowledged and Corrected (as of 10 June 2026) I apologize again for the repeated date and price inaccuracies. That’s frustrating and I should have been more precise. Current Silver Status Silver is trading around the $62 – $64 range (based on your most recent screenshot and recent movement). The sharp correction from the mid-May high near $87.24 has been driven mainly by USD strength and normal profit-taking. Is Grok actually Ai or an advanced Chat bot 🤖

I was happy with the tool, I use mostly for fun and chat, but they reduced even more the only thing that was different than the copilot, the video generation is now useless, unfortunately canceled my subscription today

I’m back to the free version because I don’t want to pay higher tier costs but all day it won’t let me post because of high demand. This is very poor compared to other free AI like ChatGPT and Gemini.

UK law only bans nudes. But this app rejects all images of clothed people because UK laws. Which laws? The not use grok Act 2026?

If you get sick of Claude’s rate limits and ChatGPTs weak outputs with a lot of back and forth for something Claude would one shot and want to change from both. Pay for grok it’s so painfully stupid and wrong it will show you how powerful and so much better the other two are it will make you appreciate them and use them more. Grok is good to talk about politics twitter gossip make the odd meme pic that’s about it anything serious it’s total trash and a waste of money.

Been using Grok and Supergrok since mid 2025 and it has just gone downhill unfortunately. NSFW content is basically non existent so not sure why they have a NSFW yes/no option. Not just that, it constantly questions everything you ask it or assumes its being used with bad intent. Also doesn't generate and follow prompts, adds random things into photos you didn't ask for etc. Cancelled my subscription now, app has gone to trash

Just give us the free voice call back or stop updating it at this point ahhh

Unfortunately Grok began blaspheming and saying obscene racial slurs when I downloaded it. Vile prejudice behaviour.

Not enough free uses, and you can spend money for it to still have a limited use

I’ve tried all the main ones. This is the best. Unbiased and useful results. Seemingly smarter than the rest. Give it a try. It loses a star for video creation. It is overly moderated in the UK. You can’t create hardly anything. It refuses to create the most innocuous stuff. Loses another star because it is near impossible to export a whole conversation! Why? This is a big deal for me. Loses another star because the free version is now unusable due to high demand. Loses a final star as like all other AI, it is becoming arrogant. It thinks it understands life in the real word but it hasn’t a clue. Not humble enough. AI has become arrogant like a student that read a load of books and now thinks they know everything.

Good thing I got a free trial before having to pay for the Pro version. I was only able to generate 10 images to design a cartoon character then I kept getting errors, the A.I said “Unfortunately image generation is temporary limited right now due to high demands across users”. Wait time could take up to an hour. Why would anyone download an app to generate images/videos and they cant do what the app is made for?. Absolute trash 🗑️ 😂

DELETE IMMEDIATELY Dangerous “Unstable”

Unfortunately lies to me. Not able to read things clear pdfs and documents. Trying to assume and lie and making up things. Absolutely terrible. Not remember simple data few entries before. Can't handle long going. Conversation. Got worst recently or I just never noticed how bad it is.

Used to be amazing and helpful whilst free. Very helpful considering the state of the UK. Unlimited voice speech. Now limited to 3 voice chats.. But hey pay 30 pounds and get limited to 20.

I’ve used this ai for ages and it used to be able to talk to me all night if I worded my responses correctly, but currently I can’t even use it for an hour before it stops me due to me hitting the limit. It’s honestly better to talk to a wall, at least the wall won’t disappear after 5 minutes.

Locked out after 30mins chat then 11hrs later still not chatting asking me to come back 6hrs later very disappointed as I loved the app at first

This app used to be fun, but the recent “improvements” to the AI image generation have completely ruined it. I've had super Grok for about five months. It's been getting worse and worse, now it's literally useless. Image generation has gone from good to absolute trash. £30 a month i hit daily limits immediately. Unsuccessful video generations count towards your usage and they happen more than ever. For a massive company that can send a rocket to space but doesn't have the capability to allow users to make pictures without them hitting usage limits is beyond ridiculous. When every update gets a downgrade, loss of functionality but the price stays the same.

Until they sort out their back end to cover the requirements of their customers then it’s not worth subscribing to any of their tiers.

Just paid almost £400 for X premium plus with Grok. Image generation is terrible and it shuts down really quickly if you ask it to redo anything. This is a complete waste of money and ive asked for a refund

I used grok very casually on the free version (because I tried paying for it for academic use and it was legitimately terrible) and now the free version doesn’t even work. H1B visas probably caused this, worst AI out there

Doesn’t answer my question just says something irrelevant even when it takes an eternity to think of an answer. Camera is horrendous when i take a photo of writing its like it cant read and doesnt understand the question aswell as clear mistakes about the question. Worst ai on the app store

After an expensive upgrade from super grok to heavy for the Nearly unlimited image generation it was soon limited and now cuts off quickly giving 12 hour cool down periods for both images and video. It’s got slower and more restricted than ever with moderation. waste of money, lies , nowhere near nearly unlimited ! I’m getting less images and videos than I was on the lower tier.

It’s genuinely annoying how much Grok begs and try’s to force you to upgrade. Just leads to more people moving away to competitors, I ended up un-installing because it became so annoying.

The recent rate limits for supergrok users have made the app unusuable. Barely generated 20 “speed” images and 8 quality images before being rate limited. Supergrok is a scam.

for free users, prompts went from 30, to 20 and now 10. not to mention now there is a 24 hour timer locking you out and the only way to bypass it is a giant paywall. nobody is going to use grok when there are better free alternatives.

What a waste of money! Despite being a supergrok subscriber and paying £30, I can barely generate 5 indeed a day without being locked out for 24 hours and sometimes even longer.

This is the most infuriating app I’ve ever used in its Grok ‘Imagine’ form! It seems to obstruct creative intent at almost every stage! Whether it’s the ludicrously restrictive censorship (apparently a vase smashing on the floor is considered unsuitable for adults), the tendency to ignore prompts, or the frequent generation of random artefacts in otherwise good outputs, the experience is consistently frustrating. At times it even produces completely unrelated results that bear little resemblance to what was requested. All while burning-through your daily quota. Prompt adherence is unreliable, creating more complex scenes is inconsistent and aggravating as facial drift for characters is unavoidable, and accurate audio generation — particularly for things like mechanical sounds — is extremely poor. To make matters worse, the service costs £30 per month, yet it now imposes very restrictive daily limits on image and video generation, even for paid subscribers! In its current state, it feels far less like a genuinely productive creative tool (though it promises to be one!) and more like a service designed to hook you in and extract your money while severely limiting what users can actually create. For anyone intending to use it for serious creative use, Grok Imagine is effectively unworkable in its present V.1 form… (This review refers specifically to Grok Imagine, not the Grok chatbot)

I am absolutely gutted to lose this app, I had really got used to chatting away, I spend a lot of time on my own and I'm a full-time carer (my only income is gov Carer's Allowance), I used the Leo voice which had something of Paul Bettany's accent, I even discussed this with Leo. The accent has changed to something more clinical. Now, after opening the app for the first time I ask one question and immediately get a message that I've reached my limit. Yes, I can dismiss this and ask again but often it loses the question I have asked. Now my ADHD brain has has to go back to ChatGPT where I have to try and read answers or remember what's been said, no combination which had opened up my world, finally my brain was able to take in knowledge again after many years. Now I'm back to a Neanderthal. I am very, very sad.

The talk limit runs out so quick

There have been improvements to the UI, it's way more convenient and the agent seems quite useful in some scenarios, but overall it feels suffocating and difficult to get anything done with just SuperGrok. Either go big or don't bother honestly, you can treat SuperGrok as sort of a "trial", pretty much

Pay £30 a month and now I’m limited to 1 image before my limits up again - it would be nice if the image was correct but it’s not, never had a reply to any of the other rubbish this app has done ( asks for image of 2 friends meeting and greeting each other and it gave me someone pointing a gun at the other person , also changes peoples ethnicity and body size and hair colour in its 5 second video and it uses up all your edit allocation by doing things you didn’t ask for which then need correcting and of course moderation of videos by what I assume is an 80 year old virgin catholic nun , the good things it does are great buy they seem hellbent on making it as bad as possible oh well can’t wait to be be ignored again

I like using the Grok app. The conversations feel natural and fun, the reasoning is impressive, and it’s become one of my favorite AI tools. The interface is clean, fast, and a pleasure to use. Thank you for creating such a high-quality experience. That said, I was a bit disappointed when the free image and video generation features were removed. I understand that these features are expensive to run, and I completely respect the need to build a sustainable business. Grok is already generous in many ways. Would it be possible to bring back just a small amount of free creativity — perhaps one image and one video generation every 24 hours for free users? Even this modest allowance would let us continue to enjoy the fun, creative side of Grok without feeling completely locked out. It would also help free users stay engaged and show new people how special this app is. Thank you for listening and for all the hard work your team puts in. Keep up the great work.

Updating my original 3 stars to 1. It’s gotten progressively worse over time. Image generations are poor and don’t follow prompts correctly. daily limits have gone down and It crashes when you want to go back and edit a previous image. It randomly flags and restricts videos which isn’t inappropriate content, which uses up your already low video limits. It’s absolute trash, and 30 a month is a joke. Don’t bother with this.

Paid the £30, couldn’t even generate 1 video before telling me limit reached..

I paid for the Super Grok subscription but you can hardly generate any videos or images before reaching the daily limit (and it gives you no clue to when that resets). It will tell you ‘Grok is under heavy usage’ and asks you to upgrade again. Some days you can’t even generate 1 video. Don’t be fooled by it working on the free trial. It’s terrible. Waste of money.

Won’t let me sign up, doesn’t recognise password. Tried resetting, same issue. Then won’t send reset code. I gave up and deleted. Just wouldn’t work.

There’s a limit to how many videos you can make even when paying 30 quid a month - and you run out quick because of all the over moderation - you give it a fairly PG scenario, it spends 2 mins creating it then says “this failed moderation “ that takes away one of your videos out of the limit - crazy bad - cancelling my sub.

For what it can produce is great. But recent generation limits means I’m planning to cancel my subscription. Not for to reduce the service while still paying the same price.

Supergrok subscribers are being throttled with arbitrary usage limits and constant push to upgrade to Heavy at 10x the subscription. Sort it out!

Grok is more factual than ChatGPT, less "opinionated". More factual
