What a terribly designed and implemented app, slow, cumbersome, poor navigation, over dominance of match going users, I don’t need half the screen telling me to access my tickets. FIFA all over this garbage.

App won’t open when downloaded

Woke up to a notification with the score. Right there on my screen! Thanks for that, just ruined last nights game for me.

The functionality of the app is fine, I haven’t had any issues with that side of things. My complaint is that 85% of the app is set up for people in the USA and is basically a travel guide for the host cities. As someone in the UK, I just wanted an app that made it easy to see when matches were and basic info etc but this is only a small section of the app and is actually the worst part of it. You can tell not a lot of thought went into it. Disappointing.

The highlights do not rotate, so the video is tiny and practically unwatchable. Why would I expect anything different? It’s not as if FIFA has ever been known for organising things properly.

Can’t vote for player of the match. Fantasy is frustrating to work

Difficult to find what you want and even matches of today are not presented on the front page. Ads, ticket and city information flooded your screen, disappointed.

The app is a total shambles, it takes a miracle to work around it… serious update needed!!

The app layout is over complicated and takes a while to find what you want . It could have been easier to navigate with more basic features and less bright confusing colour schemes.

Garbage, doesn’t work. Can’t finish setting up account as saying “an error has been identified” when trying to set up password despite following the naming convention etc

Downloaded app and didn’t even fully log in as multiple signups required. Deleted as too much hassle

I want to follow two - maybe three - teams, yet this joke of an app doesn’t allow me to choose them and follow their schedule and matches.

Constantly logging you out of the app, after downloading it, half the time I can’t even manage to open it up. It’s got no special features, definitely not worth downloading.

App is so buggy and tedious to use compared to fpl.

Very slow, frustrating when you want to quickly see today’s fixtures etc.

Awful app. Interface is counter intuitive. The apps keeps crashing and asking to re-login. Fantasy section is ridiculously inconvenient.

Where do I even start? With all the money that FIFA has they couldn’t pay someone to make a decent app? Every info you want to check on a game takes forever to load and it opens in a separate tab, more likely like a built in web browser. Appalling experience and slow as hell.

Why does this have to be so confusing. We just want the fixtures not a personal information grab

Installed to a black screen which immediately crashes upon opening the app. Please try to update it!

Not actually used the app. Could not get past setting up a password. Put the matching passwords in, “next” lit up but hit it endless times but it did not move on. I will have to find an alternative.

It took so long to register I gave up. I want to know scores not provide the amount of personal data they asked for. Waste of time

Easier to google the obvious info like when and where the matches are. Have deleted and gone elsewhere.

Could not create an account on iPhone. It is not possible to get past the password page because the keyboard is covering the space to confirm p.w. Not enough testing done on this app.

Buggy, slow, hangs, designed only to collect your details for marketing - attempts to set your privacy in the app just hangs - go figure.

Not functional - ask you to download the app in the app.. needs a major tidy up..

How to make a simple app bad.

Nothing works

Downloaded before first game kickoff but showed second game first under What’s Next. Who really cares what stadium in what city the games are being hosted? 95% is useless app space.

Tried that many times to set up and failed gave up in the end!!

Most people use this for fantasy football. You have to click into so many areas to get there and it’s so easy to swipe off and start over again. Not fun to use

I really hope the developers see this. Add a button on the landing page that goes straight to your fantasy team. Add back buttons in fantasy that take you to the previous page. Store users teams in device memory to load faster, lazy load other things in background while users look at their team. Make accessing leagues and league members teams more intuitive. Listen to feedback given by many users, they’re right.

With all their money - surely you could make an app you can load or at least sign in smoothly on.

Downloaded, verification email never arrived. Waste of time.

Tried to install, eventually did that. Tried to sign up lots of times with it wanting so much info and not providing an email to activate it so I deleted the App. Will watch the games less now!! Well done FIFA why not make it even more awkward next time and I won’t watch any games!

Poorly-integrated with iOS, countless bugs, poor layout, many many unnecessary clickables everywhere. FIFA really takes the cake this year with the worst official football tournament app I have ever used.

Tried 3 times to sign up — it won’t let a sign up with Apple ID despite being an option to choose. Then when it eventually let me in… Functions within the app are not working! Who released this app before checking if it actually works?!

A total mess. A nightmare to find anything

Simple request - what’s on next - and the timeline shows tomorrow followed by today then a few days ahead then back a day! A timeline should be a timeline in time and date order. Very simple!

Poor - I wanted this to check what games were on and the KO time in my country (UK) plus TV channel - but it wants my location and to sell me tickets for the stadiums - I am not going to America!

This is essentially a data grab. Use other sources.

Everything takes forever to load (if it ever does), difficult to find basic info.

I could make a better app on Base 44. You can’t even sign up properly. It is so pathetic. It just epitomises how amateur FIFA really is.

Considering this is the Official app and FIFA is an extremely wealthy company, this looks like they had an amateur use AI to create it. Lazy, low effort, basically useless app. It’s easier to just google the match you’re curious about rather than attempting to navigate this app.

Too many issues to list, but here’s the most annoying. can’t find group data easily, can only have one favourite team!! for neutrals this is a big bore… 24 hrs to go…. FIFA with the prices you’re charging for tickets you should be able to afford to build a half decent app…..

I didn’t think much to this app. Once downloaded I needed to input my email address before I could access its content which I did. It then prompted me to add other personal details such as mobile number etc. which I didn’t and then deleted the app. It might be just coincidence but since I downloaded the app I have received large amounts of spam in my email account.

Freezes, doesn’t scroll, hard to navigate … @Fifa I suggest to stop developing it and save your money.

Whoever designed this app has never met a human before. It takes a skill to bury the most popular parts of an app hidden deep beneath a million things I don’t care about

Tried to sign up 4 times. ‘Oops something has gone wrong’. Really poor.

Honestly worse than I expected even thought the reviews already warned me. Utterly terrible app, a vibe coded one made in 30 mins would have far outshone this attempt. Try to log in with Apple ID, only to then be forced to provide your email address again to log in? The app looks like it was built for an outdated android version and the finish is terrible - low quality icons and everything pixelated and clunky. Do not waste your time downloading, use a third party football app instead (OneFootball will be fine). Atrocious to say it’s designed for millions to follow the World Cup on.

I never write reviews however this whole process has been so bad I feel like I have to. There were multiple errors in creating an account. Firstly, don’t even attempt to try and use “hide my email” with this app, as FIFA will intentionally not send you a verification code, presumably because they want your actual one to harvest your data. Additionally, the account creation process is laughable, it doesn’t even let you get past the password creation screen, not too sure why. Overall, for a multi billion dollar company at the helm of the world’s most popular sport, you’d think they’d put a modicum of effort into addressing issues such as these.

I try to create an account and get to the last step where it requires an email but then it won’t let me type my email in. It’s generous for an app like that to be given 1 star, should be 0 as it’s basically useless
