BEWARE - There are a LOT of fake reviews on here. The teachers are great, but the company itself will fine print you into extortion. I cancelled a subscription 24 hours after a lesson because I didn’t want to move forward. The company takes away direct communication, so you have to message the “support”, they message the instructor, then the instructor messages them back, who then messages you. It overcomplicates something as simple as coordinating and scheduling, without grasping the scope of what you’re paying for. After cancelling within the 24 hour period, they went ahead and charged me $600. After hours of messaging their “support”, they’re saying there is “nothing they can do” about issuing a refund. When you try to call their phone number, it is a bot line that just repeats an automated message and keeps ringing endlessly. I wish I read reviews on Reddit before moving forward with them, as there are a lot of other people with the same experience of them taking money and refusing to give a refund despite the legitimacy of the claim. Save yourself the hassle, and look up people you can contact directly in your area. This company isn’t accredited with the BBB for a reason. Learn from my mistakes.

I purchased a five lesson package through this service. I did so because of a specific location that was advertised on their website; however, this location was unavailable and they sent me to a different spot more than 30 minutes away. When I was unable to complete my weekly lessons in a month, I went to pause my subscription and found that it already been charged for another cycle on day 28. When I told customer service that I was having these issues and requested a pause and refund until I was ready for more lessons, they told me they would not be able to refund me. They did not even respond to my concerns about the incorrect advertisement. This is a duplicitous company with a questionable business model and I urge anybody that is looking to learn a new skill to look elsewhere. The subscription model renewing in <1 month without warning feels almost intentional and I urge you not to subscribe or support this company.

If you are thinking about using the service to book lessons and find teachers, I would **strongly** urge you not to. The customer service is not functioning properly, I am getting very late responses for a refund, and the responses are not even answering what I was asking for. If you are looking for a teacher, use the app to find the teacher and contact them privately via email or text. That way it's better for you and the teacher.

Big trainer pool with self descriptions not good comparable with each other. Videos would be more helpful than pictures. Navigating back and forth is making you loose the changes made and you need to start over. Moreover, the app isn’t good controllable by the user and you often need to go through the hotline chat to make changes. Which (the chat) is very responsive, nice and helpful, but that’s not how an app should work. Frustrating.

Extremely poor customer service - lost free lesson due to their error

Please avoid this company. I had very negative experience with their system and their customer service made it 100x worse. I wish I could give zero star. Signed up for a subscription 3 weeks ago with a golf instructor, which included a free lesson. The company had to cancel my lesson and subscription because they couldn't contact my assigned instructor - this was their issue, not mine. When I tried to re-sign up with a different instructor, they refused to honor the free lesson, claiming I had already "used" it according to their records. After explaining that I haven’t used it, they got back (after I followed up again!) with due to system limitation they can’t do anything about it. This makes no sense since they cancelled my original subscription before I could use anything. Despite promising me another free lesson when they cancelled the first subscription (since I never actually received the service), they're now going back on their word. Their system apparently can't distinguish between a lesson that was used versus one that was cancelled due to their own operational problems. Very disappointing customer service. They created the problem by not being able to reach my instructor, then penalized me for their mistake. Would not recommend until they fix their customer service policies and technical issues.

Great App in Theory, horrible execution of “Trial”

In theory, the app is good. It helps connect people who want to learn certain things to people who can coach them. That’s why I use this app. It was extremely intriguing because they lure you in with a free “trial lesson” saying that there will be no charge and it is completely free. Making it seem like that you will not be charged until you book a actual to start your trial. And your subscriptions it even says start subscription even once the free trial lesson is complete. But this is falsely deceiving and this is why I give it a one star. Even if you do not start your subscription, you start your subscription fortunately through the app which charges you 24 hours after your free trial lesson. Well I didn’t find a great Coach. I do not know if I’m willing and want to commit yet to lessons. I know a lot of people playing pickle ball is the easiest way to learn so I may want to do it that way but now I am forced to because customer support will not refund me my money that was charged and now I have spent hundred dollars. Well, I get that there is a 24 that is very small and at the end of a long guide. I feel like the app should take out “start subscription” because you do not have a choice. You will start the subscription immediately after you get a “free trial”. But at the end of the day, the creators of the app knows what they’re doing and this is how they go to money. If only I would’ve read the reviews first before using the app, I would money and time. Please do not only read my review. Read the multiple other reviews saying they had the same problem.

Great instructor but terrible customer service

I had a terrible experience with the customer service overall. I tried cancelling the subscription by simply clicking the cancel button and it loaded, and I exited the app. Then I was suddenly charged for a renewal that I really was not planning to spend so much additional money on. I hadn’t even gotten through my first set of lessons I paid for yet. When I went to click cancel again, this time I noticed it said to contact customer support to request canceling. Why did they make it so difficult to simply cancel the subscription? And now they said per policy they can’t make an exception and refund me either. I see a lot of similar stories in the reviews below, now that I read through them. Overall very unhappy with this app and the customer service. I should tell the instructor he should use a different platform for lessons that doesn’t scam people like this.

The TeachMeTo app is riddled with bugs and does not update or display correct information pertaining to lessons, scheduling, and communication. TeachMeToo has been continuously charging me for classes when I already have classes purchased . They will not refund me for the most recent (4) class subscription that was made to my account. I intended on using what I had left and moving on to a local coach. They are holding me hostage with 7 lessons now that need to be used because they refuse to return the funds to my account. They never answer calls only for initial sign up and always reply through text message or email. The app does not work efficiently and communication through there is lackluster. They will not refund money due to their policy which is not a very good reason considering they are at fault. I was told if I wanted my money back to dispute it from my bank per Hanna.

Deceptive subscription practice

The subscription continues to charge me even when no further lessons have been scheduled and they deceptively don’t do any notification to any of my communication channels inc email when the charges happened. I was charged 3 times for 12 lessons when none of that have ever happened, and only found out because I checked my bank bill. As a business premised on making lessons happen between coach and student, Teach Me ‘automatically renew’ to eternity even when no lessons were scheduled by me or the coach, nor have they happened. The cancel subscription button on the app is fake and I need to wait for customer support to manually do it after a while. After the subscription cancelation, more ‘fake’ lessons are automatically scheduled again with no notifications, and I needed to cancel them one by one in the clunky app that crashes after each cancelation. Customer support offers no help.

I was charged for a subscription without any clear notification that it would automatically renew each month. There wasn’t even a single email alert about the upcoming charge. Additionally, since I couldn't access my account through the app, there was no way to verify what I had unknowingly agreed to. I only realized the charge after coincidentally reviewing my bank statement. When I requested a cancellation and refund, I was informed that it was impossible. It's frustrating that no reminders were sent, and I was simply charged without notice. Expecting users to constantly remember their subscriptions is unreasonable, and it feels like this is being taken advantage of. Definitely going to resolve with my bank for sure but would want a easier way of the company to refund me. The app’s user interface is terrible, and the overall experience is extremely disappointing.

App is super easy to use! They connect you right away with a lesson coordinator. Hanna my coordinator was excellent. She gave me all the knowledge I needed and made the transition to my coach very easy. Would highly recommend
