ReadToMe - 英语听力练习评价分析

It managed to read a camera guide. I need a reader that can handle most web pages and articles. Studying would go much faster if this worked. It could not read an article from the Met website.

After downloading it, I saw it has permission to access my passwords. No thanks! Total waste of $2.99.

首先，听网页的插件只有点进左下角的菜单里才能用。页面浮出的气泡点击后是弹出一个弹窗，open in read to me ? 选择open，就进入软件了，还要导入网页才能听，且导入完就变成翻译+朗读了。其次，点进左下角菜单，找到read to me，点进去最上面一行是US$3.99 for Lifetime Access (iOS) Dismiss 浏览器扩展功能如果是免费的，为什么要加这一句，很容易让人误解不付费无法使用。 最后，你说的增强，我没看到那里增强了。

想多学一点东西，，这个app功能不错。

找了很久这种可以读英文网站的插件、好多发音都很贵，要么免费的声音超级垃圾。这个用了苹果系统的声音超级好。建议开发者再优化一下界面的适配比如沉浸阅读的换行不要把英文部分字母换到第二行之类的。希望开发者持续更新，这个软件非常棒。感谢🙏

I often like to drive and hear something. I looked for so many apps, but some had a subscriptions and they didn’t work how I wanted them to. This was just a great extension that allows me to just simply press the button and it reads my website where I wanted to. The voice and pace is great. I’m so grateful for this application.

UPDATE: After my feedback, the program developer responded and fixed the issue I had brought up. Works very well now. Thank you! ORIGINAL REVIEW: A lot of missed potential. There is no regard to word structure when a chunk of text is processed. Words are chopped in half and tacked onto the next segment of speech. Even a simple 2-letter word might be split in half. For instance, a segment of text that reads “take your daughter to school Monday” might come out “take your daughter T [‘tee’]”…. “O [‘oh’] school Monday.” That simple word parsing improvement would make this a much better text to speech tool. Sadly, it appears the extension hasn’t been updated in a long time.

This wasn't useful to me. The reason is that it often, seemingly arbitrarily, divided a word at the end of a line and so ended up with two non-words. Example: if a line ended with the word "from", it would make the last word on that line "fro" and then make the first "word" on the next line "m". And it would try to pronounce both new non-words.

I’ve tried a lot of text to speech apps and they either sucked or were subscription only. This extension was inexpensive and it sounds very natural. I’m so glad I found this!

Not going to give bad review. But not what i was looking for I wanted a App that would read to me. Maybe I dont know how to use, but it read one sentence of my web page. Please give me a refund it this is not a app that reads whats on the site. thanks

I was skeptical at first because it only had 2 reviews and I wasn't able to translate what they were saying. However it is only $1.99 so I said F it and I'll just try it out.
