I love the hardware and the software is well designed (albeit with a hideous number of sub menus making it quite hard to work out where one particular setting is). It could be so good but getting sick to the back teeth of the dreaded “ Starting Application is taking longer than expected ..” message. Nothing helps, moving close to the router being on hard line , rebooting … it just seems that 90% of the time the system doesn’t want to communicate. Renders the entire set up and all the work on the app etc completely useless. Incredibly frustrating

We have been using this product for a few years, but in the last year it seems to not be working very well. Two situations come to mine just recently on a school site over 200 devices in different buildings and on different vans all reported to becoming through a WAP mesh pro. Once we removed the iOS app from devices that normally connect over the Internet to the unify controller two days later all the numbers were back to the way they should be. This has been a problem even on a controller that has multiple sites. Once the app interacts with that site, the console loses track of what devices are connected to what other devices.

The latest versions of this app don’t seem to let you archive or dismiss notifications. As a result the widget just keeps showing more and more unread notifications.

All of a sudden, app is not accepting my login. The same credentials are working on the the portal. I raised a support case and they are not even ready to listen. Not allowing me to add the device again as well. Tried 100 possibilities to deal with this app and none of them is successful. This is just an attempt to inform them as support team is failing to answer simple questions.

以前可以在首页直接点“来宾”图标进入来宾页面，方便点来宾授权上网，现在的设计给取消了，来宾接入后只能在一堆接入设备列表里找，太麻烦了！！！ 网页版通过首页点来宾图标是只显示hotspot接入的来宾的，这挺好，但是，通过设备列表筛选来宾，则混入了其他用了guest策略的VLAN的设备。以前没有这个问题。 另外的Bug: 点设置-> Wi-Fi -> 点任意WiFi -> 高级选项 -> 使用VLAN ，明明在网页版设置了VLAN，但APP的居然不同步！

Buyer beware, ubiquity treats their customer's hardware purchases with contempt and have little regard for the expense to update existing clients. We have endured all sorts of ridiculous redundancy over the years with Wi-Fi, and now these security camera systems have been made redundant with stupid cloud two updates. Other systems by other companies still run after a decade, and these guys make you for shell out more cash for their indulgence in questionable updates. All this hysteria about other security camera providers is just ridiculous e we hen you consider what these upstart brats have done to bleed another dollar. I now direct clients to other platforms because it’s not worth the embarrassment to go back and tell them UniFi will ask for more cash.

I am using UDM, and after this new app update, it is unable to login the router anymore

安卓版app汉化比苹果系统汉化还全面，两个不能统一吗。企业是中国的，虽然业务大部分在国外，系统还是友好点吧。

I have been using this for three years and the day to day stuff I need is fairly easy to find but other settings are all over the place and there is not a unified approach to settings. This is very obvious when there is always a link for more settings at the link. But even when trying to find a setting it can take a long time of digging through menus. It seems like every platform does this where instead of a single intuitive menu there are multiple places to go to change settings. It seems I end up in a different setting page each time. Just looking for the restart command is a time drain and just easier to just unplug it. I know someone is going to be mad and give reasons why it’s this way but I was hoping the multiple menus and searching would be fixed in a year or so since we have been on the New interface for a while. Still going to keep using it. Quality of the hardware is great a cameras work flawlessly. Just want ease of use back in IT.

I would like you to add more IoT device icons.

The app is packed with tons of detailed functionality and features that give you granular control over your network. I use the app regularly and never have any issues with its performance at all. Over time sections have been revised to make them more logical and user friendly. The app itself and its connectivity to my network is always fast, whether I am at home or away. Personally I would use any other brand, I absolutely love UNIFI products.

Preface: Ubiquiti makes great tech. Their network app is still miles in front of the competition but… it has become increasingly frustrating due to the crazy number of new features being added. QA/testing seems to be an after-thought and network app features that I use all the time get dropped with no explanation or alternative. There’s also a large number of device features that appear in the app but just don’t work. In most cases logging in via desktop browser usually provides a work-around but that’s not always convenient or practical.

There is less Chinese every time you update.

ad block wont work on iOS26

The App is normally my go to for configuration but I was unable to turn off Ad blocker despite using it to do so. I eventually logged on via PC browser and options were slightly different and Ad blocker still on. Turned it off there to disable it. Might need a bug fix.

Hi I generally find this app very helpful but the latest update has removed the latency from the dashboard, which makes it much slower to check our connection routing is still optimal. Please can you add this back - I use it every day? On longer term issues, there are several little improvements I hope you will consider. eg When editing the selection of devices in lists like in the security rules, sort the selected devices to the top so I don’t need to search the entire list to see what is active.

Great products, great app. The only bug I’ve ever encounter is the login notifications. Sometimes I will get 4 notifications when I log in once. Also, it is annoying that every time you navigate away from the app and come back, it pings another login notifications. But seriously… everything about my unifi experience has been flawless. Highly recommend.

功能挺好用。不过，支持显示IPv6和设置。之前在app保存了网络后，网络全部变成IPv4模式了。

买的udm SE和u6 LR，相当好，一年多不用重启，电信网络有任何波动都能发现并记录。就是这APP汉化不太行。

UBNT产品细节和功能确实做得不错，但是app界面半中文半英文着实影响体验，也让原本优美的APP界面看起来别扭。

I can’t get the app to start on my iPad but it’s fine on my iPhone. The same app runs find on my M2 MBA. It’s been broken for ages and deleting and reinstalling doesn’t fix it so I guess I live without it. If this worked I would buy the matching cameras but it doesn’t so there is no point in risking it.

Migrated from Windows 11 laptop hosting the Network App, to using Cloud Key Gen2 Plus. Installed the Cloud key accessory rackmount. Took just a couple minutes to update the cloud key, apps, firmware. Installed UniFi Network App on my iPhone. Then made sure I had the latest versions of firmwares and softwares installed on laptop, access point, switch, everything. Saved a backup of settings only, using my laptop UniFi Network App. Then Migrate Wizard on the Network App on laptop. But at end, Skip forget devices. Logged into cloud key at its ip address. Made sure it restored the settings correctly using the backup. Waited until restore was completely finished running. Once all devices adopted and completed, went back into Windows Network App and then you can "forget" the devices. Perfect addition to my AmpliFi Alien Router, Ubiquity Pro Access Point, and Ubiquity PoE 24 Pro managed switch. It sees ALL devices, ip addresses, traffic, and all from my phone. LOVE IT!

Update 15th May 2022, FINALLY after all these weeks the App is working as it use to be! NO “Getting Ready” anymore, the App loads correctly. Thank you Update 23rd March, obviously your not listening to the original problem and just updating how you feel, but still I get “Getting Ready” and wait 15 seconds before I can even open the App! Brilliant update again!!!!!!!!! Update on the 3rd March still exactly the same! Problem still the same and no further forward!!! I can’t put below 1 star, but this new update certainly needs -5!!! This new update has made the App slower. When you open the App you get a message saying “Getting Ready” which stays there for 15 seconds. You then have to wait for the App, then tap configure, and wait again for the AP to load. Backwards improvement in this update! Why make things worse, very disappointed! Update…. I don’t “Reach Out”, but would like the App to be backdated to the working version option. I have contacted you, but no reply from yourselves. Update 1st March, still nothing of an improvement.

The app works pretty well for everything I do as a home/prosumer. However one thing I wish it would allow would be the ability to mark/tag non UniFi devices as a switch or router (and the asocialtes clients via that switch) so that the topology map looks better and a better representation of the network. I have a virgin media router and an HP switch, along with my UniFi Poe switch and APs but they all appear like client devices in the topology map. It would be nice if they could be marked as a switch, so that connected devices can be tagged too so they show up correctly. This would also be useful for the router so that it appears to the left of the UniFi switch, and not on the right side pretending to be a client device.

Ive been using UDM for about a year, and the app has been working well. there was a glitch where my UDM wouldnt show up, but the network kept working. The app showed the UDM again after a couple days, along with an error log about IPS signature update that explained the outage.

12/27 update: To developers: They ARE set correctly in the Protect app and I’ve told you that. It’s the UniFi Network app that’s buggy. UniFi Network has a mind of its own. This app has so much potential but it’s been woefully buggy for almost a year. I’ve reported the bugs numerous times but the idiots who handle bug reports repeatedly ask for information I’ve already sent. Biggest issue: UniFi cameras. UniFi Network will NOT allow me to rename cameras. If I attempt to rename a camera I get a “Something went wrong…” pop-up and have to back out. Worse, it renders camera with parentheses or apostrophes as Xs. I used to have a cameras called “Front Porch (N)” and “Front Porch (S)” but those turned to Front-Porch-XNX” and “Front-Porch-XSX” about 8 months ago and those names no longer can be changed. I’m stuck with those names. I reported it back when it first happened and numerous updates later, Ubiquiti Network STILL can’t control any of the 11 UniFi cameras I have connected. I can’t adjust the IP addresses, either. Yep. If I try that I get that stupid “”Something went wrong” pop-up. Fix this!!

This used to be a great app that allowed me to switch between the 50 or so sites that we have Unifi equipment on and check that everything is up and running and help customers diagnose any issues but now, after interacting with one or two sites the app stops responding so I have to quit it and start again. Really needs to go back to being the dependable app it used to be.

app v 7.0.0 (AppStore version) is currently crashing on startup on M1 Macs with current version of macOS 11.6 Big Sur. Crashing on exception: -[_UIAppearance setScrollEdgeAppearance:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x600000c619b0
